The iced coffee had a strange unwashed cup smell to it, perhaps from dishwashers that needed a clean-out. Flavorwise, it was watered down and bland. Well I got a GC for Xmas for this place and all the reviews I read said you must try their meringue dessert so for $24.50 you can get a 6 pack sampler box. That and their brioche is good. I ordered 1 plain as they were out of raisin. Anyways the meringues did not disappoint if you like crunchy meringue and soft mousse, you'll love these almost melt in your mouth slightly crunchy delights. I would definitely recommend! We were passing by when my husband saw the sandwiches from the large windows and wanted to grab a late lunch. He got the chicken curry sandwich, which he said was a flavourful fusion with the tomato. It was a prominent but not overwhelming curry, with a very creamy texture. Our daughter picked out the colourful merveilleux. This was our first time trying these French cakes, and I originally thought they were truffles. They were light and flavourful. I've walked past this place many times, and today I went in for my lunch break. There are a number of sandwich options all on the same bread and cut in half. I got the smoked salmon sandwich, which came on a really soft, slightly sweet milk bun with herbed cream cheese, cucumbers, and smoked salmon inside it was a little bit on the pricier, your side for what it was but still a really delicious sandwich overall. I was pleasantly surprised with how soft and delicious the bun was. My sister and I were in area getting ready for a spin class but I was a bit hungry so we stopped by here for a quick bite. The broiche sandwich I got was pretty pricey, I paid more than $11 for the half sandwich. While I did think the sandwich was tasty, I cannot justify for the price since the sandwich was mostly bread. Located on Queen Street is a lovely patisserie that has croissants, brioche, sandwiches, and merveilleux (Belgian meringue cake). They also have locations in Europe, Japan, and New York. Aside from pastries and sandwiches, they also have drinks to go with your pastries or sandwich. Such as coffee, tea, bottle of water. I came here specifically for their merveilleux. Light, creamy dessert. I was lucky to get a table on a busy weekend afternoon. I got a merveilleux and a vanilla latte for dine-in, and a box of merveilleux to bring home. Le Merveilleux: Meringue, chocolate whipped cream coated with shavings of dark chocolate. I wish I got more of these because 1 simply isn't enough! L'Impensable: Meringue, coffee whipped cream, coated with crystallized meringue. Everybody loves coffee, right? Le Magnifique: Meringue, praline whipped cream, coated with crushed caramelized almonds and hazelnuts. I love hazelnuts so, I had to get a lot of these. L'Excentrique: Meringue, cherry whipped cream, coated with crystallized meringue. If you love cherry, this is your jam. If I were to rank my most favorite to "least" favorite (they're all so good), it would be hard but here it goes anyway: #1 Le Merveilleux (chocolate) #2 Le Magnifique (hazelnut) #3 L'Impensable (coffee) #4 L'Excentrique (cherry) If you're planning to bring a box of these home, just know that they are very delicate. A small bump on the road could make them topple over. Trust me, I let her have it (not my beautiful meringue cakes)! The space is rather tiny so, my advice is go as soon as they open at 9am or very late afternoon. Authentic French bakery known for their Merveilleux (traditional cake from Northern France using light meringue and whipped cream). I highly recommend the coffee flavour Merveilleux. The bitter coffee balances the sweetness of the meringue. The Vergeoise waffle is similar to a Stroopwafel but richer and less sweet. Do not make the mistake of heating it up, as it'll cause the butter to leak inside. Highly recommend it if you want to try some unique French treats. read more

The oat milk latte was good but nothing special. The tuna fish sandwich, same thing it was decent but not great. The bread was very fluffy which I liked.
