    Peers Park!!!

Peers Park is a breathtaking park in the middle of a beautiful neighborhood in Palo Alto!!! It is the perfect place to take a stroll, relax or run around on the grass, have a picnic, play soccer, bring your children to the large playground, shoot some hoops at the basketball court, play tennis, bring your dog for the dog park (and more)! I saw many happily engaging in all of the above activities when I visited. The grassy fields are huge, the dog park was bustling with activity and featured colorful lawn chairs, the tennis and basketball courts looked new, and the playground had multiple structures and was teeming with happy kids. The park was clean and well-maintained, and the trees and flowers were glowing with life and color. I really enjoyed my time there, and I would definitely recommend others to spend quality time at Peers Park, too - it is a special place!!!

If you are looking for lots of dogs to play with yours head to Peers Park around 11:30am or 4:30pm daily.

Best dog park on the peninsula! Shady for you and your pups. Frendly pups and pals.

My kid went here on a field trip from preschool. Had amazing time here. Nicely renovated.

Lovely green open field for soaking in rays. Tables, no bbqs , playgrounds were enjoyed by kids.

Of special interest: Behind the tennis courts are a number of redwood trees that grew from seeds from El Palo Alto.

What I like: Free entry, huge free parking lot, and bathrooms. You can keep it simple with a walk or bike ride on the trails, or make it more of an activity day with the lake. The lake is manmade and they have a boathouse where you can rent equipment. Sailing, paddle boating, that kind of vibe. I've also seen the boathouse area used for group events, so it's good for a casual outing or even something organized. A few practical notes: It's mostly flat, which is great, but there's very little shade, so if it's sunny bring water and plan accordingly. Weekends can get crowded, especially when the weather is good. Overall, it's a clean, convenient park with enough variety that you can keep coming back and not get bored.

There are many recreational activities to do here with a golf course, a lake for sailing, fields / open spaces for kite flying and other sports, restaurants, the historic Rengstorff House (a restored historic Victorian mansion), trails for biking and walking, and more. Unfortunately, the Rengstorff House just closed when we arrived. We were able to walk around and check out the lake and some of the other areas though.
