We brought our kids to play at the magical bridge while on vacation. This was one of the best playgrounds that we have been too. The design and layout of the playground was awesome. The magical bridge playgrounds are designed to be accessible for all kids and this was evident by the low slides, wheel chair accesible merry go round and more. This is a wonderful place to make happy memories and try new activities! Tucked away, this park is situated close to the tennis courts (look for the signs). My family had a very happy time, and we will return for sure. Next time, I'll bring some cardboard for my child to use as a "sleigh". That and the musical laser were the highlights for our family. We are temporarily staying in the area for medical care and this park was recommended by hospital staff. It is very nice. Clean bathrooms, nice shaded picnic area, and I like that there's locked gates for all the entrances. They have a variety of play options with lots of seating and shade. The tot area is very small with limited items to play on. They have a small water area that was a total hit for a hot day. We have visited two days in a row and there has been a small vendor selling ice-cream, chips etc which was a nice treat. read more

Find the giant enclosed playground and you'll know you are at the right place. There are a couple different play structures at Mitchell Park. I didn't understand at first why people love this place, because we found a play structure by the splash pad. It was fine, but nothing to write home about. Then my Aunt and Uncle called saying they didn't see us. We discovered we weren't at the Magical Bridge Playground so we ran over. Once we got to the right place, I now understand why it is adored. It is completely fenced in so you feel comfortable letting your kids run around. Mine are 3 and 6 and they had an absolute blast. There is a ton of shade so I got to catch up with my Aunt and Uncle while sitting in the shade. There is a ton of parking in this parking lot. You have to go around the tennis courts to find this place, but once you know where it is it is easy to find. There are a lot of different sections to this playground and even with a camp being there, there was a lot of space. I heard from my Aunt and Uncle that it is usually pretty quiet during the day. They have a water fountain with a water bottle filling station. The restrooms are outside of the gate, but not that far a walk. This playground is also right next to the library and a cafe making this a great place to spend the day. If I lived close we would be here constantly. read more

This park is a bit crowded and sometimes there's a line (or used to be) to get in. However - it's the COOLEST park EVER. I mean I want to play there!!! I cannot believe it is free to go to this place it's just incredible. My kids love this place and they always find other kids to play with. I also appreciate the proximity it is to other playgrounds (Mitchell's park has more play areas) and the library (which also has a little cafe) and it is near shopping/food area as well. Took us a while to make our way over here. We have a magical bridge park in Sunnyvale but when we came here we noticed a huge difference in the feel of the place. Our toddler's favorite park. Enclosed but lots of space to run around. Feel very safe for both the kiddos and the parents. Can leave your stroller without worries. Plenty of parking as it is attached to a community center, park, library etc. It can get busy about 1030am on the weekends and difficult to find parking as well. read more

Love coming to Magical Bridge! It's one of our favorite parks! We really enjoy coming during the weekdays when it's less crowded. Magical Bridge has done an absolutely great job of limiting the capacity and making a safe play area for kids! They've hired staff to be at both the entrance and exits, and provide hand sanitizer when entering and exiting too! If you're little one can't wear a mask, they have a sticker they can wear! Currently they allow 30mins of play with up to 55 ppl inside. Everyone above 2yrs old needs to wear a mask or have the sticker that says they can't wear a mask. And of course main rain social distance of 6 feet. Our current favorites inside the playground are the swings, roller slide, big treehouse, and the laser harp! The staff (Alejandro, Trudy, Hendrick) have all been super friendly and helpful! Big shout outs to them for all of their hardwood! TIPS - Want to avoid the crowds? Come before 2:30pm on the weekdays and try to avoid friday, saturday, and sunday when there are long lines. - Eat and drink before entering the park bc they don't allow food inside. Water is ok. - I'd bring some extra baby wipes or paper towels to wipe down any water on the equipment in the mornings. - Watch out for the smaller kids! - Have fun! read more

Magic Bridge is a hit! There are so many activities in MB; slide zone, tot zone, swing zone, music zone and more! I felt extremely safe with turf throughout the park. Plus there is a 55 person limit and everyone must sanitize their hands when entering. If the MB is full there are 3 other playgrounds throughout the park. While we were there we saw gymnast, Zumba, fencing and my husband got a kick from people playing g wiffle ball (I think that's what it's called). There is a cool sandbox area and water spouts when weather is warm. Anywho.. this park was amazing and no bird crap on trails or on the playground. I hate that. Haha! read more

Dogs are welcome at the park but cannot enter the gated areas with the jungle gyms, slides, swings, etc. It is new and still well-kept. I've visited this park several times, and it can get quite crowded, but there's plenty of shade and a lot of activities to enjoy. The reason for my one-star deduction is due to an incident with a blonde-haired kid in a spandex suit on the basketball court during one of my visits. As we were leaving, I saw him harassing families who were trying to walk across the court, telling them to get out of his way while he was spinning a ball on his finger and throwing it at the hoop. He placed his bike in the walkway to block the path, preventing people from walking through where you should, simply because he didn't want anyone near "his" rim. He was all talk and no bite, but it was an unpleasant experience. If you encounter him causing issues again, I'd recommend reporting him to the proper authorities. read more

I wish this park is closer to us! This is an amazing park that is truly accessible for all. I wish this existed when I was growing up. Not only is it a huge park with different sections with its own theme, but there is plenty of seating for parents to relax and wait for the kids to finish playing. Some areas are more shadier than others. My one complaint is when I google map the Magical Bridge it takes me to this business plaza where I parked, no idea if I wasn't allowed to park there or not, but there is a short walkway through the plaza to the park. So I am still confused by that. I also went during the middle of the day on a weekday and it was so crowded. So I can't imagine if it's like DisneyWorld on a school vacation if it's a weekend. I haven't made the trip back because there's a lot of other parks closer to me but it was a cool place to visit! read more

This is definitely a destination playground. The quality of all the playstructures, the sheer number of them, the padded ground, the stage/2 story structure... the list goes on. This is a place your kid can enjoy for hours. Additionally, the playground is located walking distance from a cafe, walking distance from a library, and within a very large park with tons of wide open spaces for sports or relaxing. This park is good for pretty much anything, and worth a drive to see the kids enjoying themselves. Pro-tip: bring a piece of cardboard about 2' square for the slides. Updating the review to note that it was always opened as a park meant for all kids! The entire playground has a range of swings, slides, pretend play, etc for different age groups. The play areas are somewhat grouped by age when you first enter, with the smallest kids play area to the immediate left. Every time we visit I feel like my kids learn or practice new skills here and we always enjoy our visit. The park can get super crowded, especially on the weekend so I recommend coming early and during the week if you can! read more

Wonderful park for kids and adults. I wonder why there are no more parks like these everywhere in San Jose, for example. You can see affluent young couples and overloaded with homework and extracurricular activities kids having a blast being less micromanaged by helicopter parents there:) (or that is what I imagine). It is pretty interesting to go to this fabulous pretty park as an adult by yourself, unaccompanied and unassuming. People will look at you as the weirdo you know deep inside you are. Alone. There. At a kids's paradisiac playground. What is she looking for. I imagine people thinking that while I keep taking pics like a possessed, especially of that little house with faux kitchenette and tools area. Absolutely love this park nestled in Palo Alto area! The park itself has so much educational features for kids to roam around. They have the pretend castle to play with, the slides they can take turn with cardboard, and let's not forget the musical play area for toddlers to play. They can step the musical ground, and each step represents one note. Such a nice beginning for kids to learn music! Awesome Playground located in Palo Alto, CA. My son had so much fun here today. There are three types of slides, Rollers, like a packing roller line, a normal twisting slide, and a large metal slide. The size of the metal slide makes it available for more than one child at a time. We were able to slide down side by side. The roller slide is very fun as well, especially if you're a heaver set adult because you'll go flying down the rollers. It's definitely possible to ride down the roller slide with your child in your lap. Theres also a spider web cargo net to climb up to the slide platform. Theres also 6-8 swings with the over the shoulder safety attachment. If im back near the Palo Alto area, we are definitely making a stop here, such a great time for the whole family read more

A perfect spot for kids. My daughter actually really liked this place and honestly, she's pretty hard to impress. No joke, and she's only 17 months! It's not the largest area, but it's part of Mitchell Park which is on the larger side. Lots of slides and other things that kids can do here. It's actually a perfect spot. I love that this park is inclusive of all children with lots of options for play, including imaginative play. I don't like that it's mayhem. Children run wild. Some of the children are too old to be playing on the equipment and are pushing it beyond what it's meant to do. One kid who, was probably 10 or so, was scrambling along the outside of the bridge and upper building structure. If he fell, it would've meant a broken limb for sure. My younger son saw him doing this, and now I am worried he is going to get ideas. Other kids were playing and throwing sticks at each other. My younger son stepped in and said that it's not OK to throw sticks at people, picked up the stick and broke it in half and tossed it aside. The boys' parents were nowhere to be seen. We go to many other parks, and I've never seen anything like this. read more

We came here this morning to explore the Magical Bridge playground! What a fun place for kids and their parents `- it was clean, big / spacious and full of different activities for people of all ages. :) We spent a good hour here and felt exhausted from doing the swing set, going on the slide, spinning around on the merry-go-round, exploring the tree house, running along the bridge, and more! Palo Alto definitely has great parks for children and dogs. SO NICE. Families are courteous, and you feel safe with your kids too. What a unique and awesome playground! I went as an curious adult after seeing some photos right here on Yelp. I actually had a good time checking out the one size-fits-all swings and the musical zone. Ha. There is a tree house, theater and mini amphitheater. A musical zone. A slide hill. Lots of play equipment for all ages and also a small kid only zone. Also, plenty of seating for parents. This playground is nothing short of magical!! Might be one of the best playgrounds I have ever been to. It is large, clean, very organized. There are multiple sections that focus on different themes. Sway and swing, a music section, a spin section, a baby/toddler section and slides. There's so a little house that is so cute and has two levels where the kids can do some make believe. Every single thing to play on worked well and the way it was supposed to. Sometimes you go to places like this and a bunch of stuff will be out of operation. I imagine kids could be here and play actively for hours. We used to live in Palo Alto, back before we had a kid, and now that we have one, I wish we lived closer! This is all not to mention that it is a part of a whole humungous park/center that has a library, baseball fields, tennis courts and multiple other playgrounds. So if you do get bored here (which you won't), you have some options! There is also a bathroom nearby that was really pretty decent. Huge parking lot, but I imagine with everything going on here, it can sometimes get full on weekends, etc. read more

Yessssss parents!!!! Get your little poopsies down here to wear themselves out and rejoice as you take home a worn out little person at the end of playtime. Been here twice now and both times my 18 month old has had an absolute BLAST running around the various sections of this playground. The whole area is gated/fenced, and you enter one way and exit another. As you enter there is a tent with a staff member with hand sanitizer and stickers on hand for those under two who can't wear a mask asking others to keep their distance. There's also stroller parking. (Helpful hint - put the sticker on their back and they won't peel it off). Then you have half an hour (or until the park reaches its capacity of 55 people) to play! The flooring throughout is either the bouncy rubber stuff, or fake grass, and there are different 'areas' to enjoy. There's a small baby area just on the left as you enter, so even the very little folks are catered for. As I'm writing this during Covid restrictions, please make sure all adults have (and wear) their mask, as well as all kids 2 and over - they check. They currently aren't allowing any food or drinks inside except water for kids, but there are tables inside in a picnic area which can be enjoyed once restrictions are all lifted. The Rotary Park is just as great with many similar things to play for the kids.
