She comes by for an hour to play and spend time with our cats whenever we're away on vacation because our cats get very lonely when we're gone. She is very organized and always confirms our appointments ahead of time, makes sure to send a picture to us each day, and even sweeps the floor so we don't come back to a bunch of pet hair! About 9 months ago, I reached out to Kelsey needing cat sitting for my 13 year old cat, Zeus. By the meet and greet, I knew Kelsey was going to be amazing. She was able to instantly bond with Zeus and leave an amazing first impression! She has been great at taking care of him for me while I go on week long trips for my work in Minneapolis and also visiting family out in California. She always sends photos to me and tells me updates everyday while I am out of town. In November, she mentioned to me that Zeus was drinking too much water and recommended I get him looked at by a vet. When I took Zeus in, the vet diagnosed him with feline diabetes. I would not have been able to get him diagnosed as quickly if it were not for Kelsey looking out for me and his best interests. I am a past client of PeeWee's Playdates as I have received services from them more than once - (despite the owner lying by saying otherwise). With that said, I have rewritten my review due to the additional unprofessionalism I have experienced again from PeeWee's / Kelsey, and my additional comments have been added in the last paragraph covering how the business owner, Kelsey, commented on my review by lying about giving me services (which she has given me more than once) and how she has harassed me via messages. I honestly do NOT want to give this agency one star...I would prefer to give zero! I am just appalled at their lack of professionalism...and to be fair I should not say "their" because the incompetence and unprofessionalism came from one person named Kelsey. I arranged to have a petsitter, and the sitter informed me that she would send me emails (while I was on vacation) to keep me up to date about my pet. Unfortunately, while I was trying to enjoy my vacation the petsitter kept sending me emails about how my pet does not respond to her, etc. and the emails were very rude and unprofessional. I was irritated in her lack of competence to handle the situation as a so-called "certified petsitter" because she originally informed me that she knew how to handle all pet emergencies/issues but apparently not! I was also irritated with the fact that the sitter my pet had before was not the same one doing the petsitting this time around because everyone knows that it takes some pets a longer time to warm up to new people...duh! Isn't that Petsitting 101? Well due to the countless annoying, incompetent emails she kept sending me while I was on vacation I simply responded to her one last email then immediately blocked her from my email account because she was being a nuisance, so I don't know if she responded to me or not because she got blocked and I flagged her as spam. Lol all I know is that when I got home from vacation I saw that she left a long note on the table, and I tore it up and threw it in the trash without reading it because I did not feel like dealing with her lack of competence any longer...and besides I was tired from my plane ride and did not feel like reading the essay that she wrote. If you are looking for a petsitter that is responsible and skilled to handle all animal situations and if you're looking to not be harassed by your petsitter while you're out of town then do NOT rely on PeeWee's Playdates. Instead, go through a Petco-sponsored agency like I do now. They are SO much more reliable and highly trained in all pet situations then these privately-owned wannabe petsitting companies like PeeWees. As a business, it is the responsibility of the employees and owners to always remain professional and ethical which means that they should not lie or harass current or former clients! Well, Kelsey (employee/owner of PeeWee's), has taken it upon herself to contact me via her personal Yelp account to message and harass me when I have already expressed that I do not want any communication and no further services from her or her company. She then took it upon herself to lie and state that she never provided me petsitting services when she has provided this service to me more than once, and I have all the online transactions to prove it! I am not sure why Kelsey thinks that harassing a former client and lying about providing services is proper business etiquette. However, as an agent of PeeWee's (or any entity) if a client is not satisfied with your level of services then it's that employee's/owner's responsibility to apologize and remain professional. I think that this employee's lack of maturity and lack of business etiquette is to blame for her continued unprofessionalism and dishonesty; however, that is no excuse! Because if you choose to own, operate, or be employed by a company than it is your responsibility to remain ethical at all times. Kelsey, also messaged me stating that I have her business confused with another - um, yeah right! Sorry but there is no other PeeWee's Playdates in Orange County with an employee named Kelsey! So no confusion at all but nice try! As noted my HEADLINE and other yelpers headlines insinuate - "it's best to be nice cause you never know who is a yelper!" Yelp was created so that customers could review companies in a good or bad but honest manner. I choose to exercise that right. When a business receives a good review that is great, and when a company receives a bad review that is also okay because sometimes employees do not do their jobs accurately or are highly unprofessional... and due to that it is their responsibility to try to make it right with a customer as opposed to lying or harassing them. With that said...I do not recommend this petsitting company at all. I believe going with a Petco-sponsored company is much better than dealing with a privately owned company since the level of responsibility and skills are higher. read more

I'm one of "those" pet moms -- you know the kind: nervous leaving behind her baby with people she doesn't really know and even more wary of the ones she doesn't. I've been known to type up pages (yes, pages plural) of detailed instructions concerning "the care and feeding of Duchess" for the few family members and friends I've trusted to take care of my dog. When I realized I'd be going out of town for 5 days straight, I needed to come up with an alternative option. I didn't want to burden my pet-loving friends (especially the ones who have cats since Duchess does not make nice with them), and I didn't feel like I could trust other people to be as conscientious as I am with regard to my dog's escape artist tendencies, so I started to research other options. My research led me to Kelsey and Peewee's Playdates and the many fantastic reviews she had. Thank you, fellow reviewers, because I couldn't be happier with her service. The idea that my pet could stay within the comfort of our own home, without having to be stuck in a tiny kennel for hours on end really appealed to me. I worried that since my dog was a shelter rescue that leaving her in a kennel for a few days on end might convince her that I'd abandoned her, and so I scheduled the initial meeting with Kelsey. Everything went really well, and in early August, I went away on a weekend trip while Kelsey took care of her. She took great care of Duchess while I was away. Kelsey is conscious of my concerns and takes great care to ensure that Duchess continues to have her routine. She left a little note telling me how Duchess did while I was gone, and Kelsey communicated with me regularly via text message whenever I wanted to know how Duchess was doing. I came home to a happy, well-exercised dog and was so thrilled to have found someone else I can trust to care for my dog. In October, I was gone for 5 days. Kelsey and Jason again took excellent care of Duchess. Again, Kelsey responded quickly whenever I texted to check up on Duchess, and again, I came home to a well-exercised and super happy dog! I even took a picture and sent it to Kelsey to show her how excited and happy my dog was after 5 days of fantastic care! I would recommend Kelsey to anyone with a pet. She and her team are truly animal lovers and my dog is genuinely well treated and cared for. I couldn't really ask for anything more! While I would be worried that someone else might lose my dog (because, as I said, she's a RUNNER), I have 100% confidence in Kelsey and her team to take such excellent care of Duchess that I have zero anxiety when I go on trips. Best dog walker/sitter ever! I've been using Peewee's Playdates for about six months, and Kelsey and her team take excellent care of my dog every day, leaving me thorough notes of what they did. They also do little things that I haven't asked of them, but are much appreciated, like topping off my dog's water and bringing notices inside. The best part is my dog LOVES them! They play with him and love on him as much as I do. When I went out of town for a weekend, I was concerned about moving the dog, cat, and rabbit to board at the vet. It was so much easier to ask Kelsey and her team to stay over each night. They left my apartment better than I had. We love PeeWee Playdates. We have used their service for nearly 2 years more so when we got our senior girl who needed more stable walks throughout the day when my husband and I are at work. We have 2 Shiba Inus and they are just our whole world and crazy as can be. So we are nuts about them and their safety and barely trust them with anyone but ourselves. I don't have the easiest, nor friendliest of dogs. One of them in particular hates strangers and is pretty high maintenance. So needless to say, I was a bit worried about finding a dog sitting service. My worrying quickly faded when I saw how much my two pups warmed up to both Felicia and Kelsey. During trips she sends a bunch of pics or videos of everyone playing and they just seem so happy. It really takes the guilt out of those occasional trips where we can't take the dogs. During the week when I'm at work either Felicia or Kelsey come by for 20 minutes for potty breaks and play time. My family has a very quirky greyhound. (I am not sure if quirky is the best word, I could say "neurotic" or "needy"...) We also have two cats who let us live in their house. I have been using PeeWee's Playdates for more than a year to help take care of my animals when I am not at home. All of my animals are rescues and I am very particular about how they are taken care of. Our dog has a schedule for when and where he is walked and when he is fed because it makes him feel more secure. Since he has a very sensitive stomach, I often need to adjust what he is fed, so that he doesn't keep me up all night wanting to go outside. Kelsey and her staff are meticulous about following my instructions and reporting back to me about how my animals behaved on the visit. What is even more important though is the fact that my animals are happy when they have been visited by Kelsey, Carissa, and other members of her staff. Having recently moved to Fullerton from Hawaii, I had no clue as who to hire as a pet sitter for my cat. I turned to Yelp to help me out. Kelsey was very quick to return an email and come meet me and my cat. I got a great vibe from her as soon as she came over and my usually shy cat warmed up to her right away.
