Very comfortable setting, and very professional. I sold some silver and gold and they offered the best rate after I had called several others in Sarasota and Bradenton. Holden was respectful and helpful. I have not bought from them yet but he did say they offered a premium if I sell back to them what I buy from them. That peeked my interest as well. Same price as the internet stores but a local company that you can look around the place and find some good choices. Although not as extensive selection as the bigger chains, this company has excellent customer service and a nice atmosphere. I started shopping here a couple months ago and have been very satisfied with all the purchases . They allow multiple forms of payment to make it easier. Pegasus C & J is a really great company. They handle a wide range of collectibles while specializing in Rare coins, precious metals and fine jewelry. I have done business with them on several occasions and found them to be very knowledgeable and fair. They carry an array of high quality watches and diamond jewelry as well as having a good selection of collectible coins and all forms of Gold, Silver and Platinum bullion. I'm a new coin collector just starting my collection and visited Pegasus coins three times looking for a silver eagle dollar for every year minted. The first two times I visited the store I had nice experiences. The third time however the young man who helped me was disrespectful and not customer friendly. As I was looking through their bullion silver eagles I told the young man I was looking for specific coins that were the least scratched. He told me that unless they're rated 70 that it really doesn't matter and began putting the coins I was looking at away before I had decided which ones to buy. I decided not to buy any of the four I had already selected and left. I called the store owner to see if I could determine which day that young gentleman took off of work so I could return and purchase the coins that I wanted. Mr Maben, the store owner, told me that the young man is a star employee and that if I did not want to purchase from him that I should go elsewhere. Ownership did not apologize or ask about the specific situation. I will be going elsewhere to find coins for my collection. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Don't waste your time at this shop. I took my elderly mother, who uses a walker, so we could both trade our gold for cash. I sat her down in the chair they had near the door, then proceeded to look around. The manager comes over & told her she couldn't sit there bc it was too close to their door sensor... making someone with mobility issues move, from a seat that YOU PUT THERE, was strike 1. His whole demeanor was off-putting. Then only have ONE person to process gold...and he literally took hours, only for a handful of rings & earrings. After patiently waiting, he says there a problem with the "government system" and it was now going to take even longer. Okay, I get it. He then warns me, he's not going to have time to process my jewelry....which I also was understanding about. When I told him I work, I wouldn't be able to go back until around 4/4:30pm on a weekday, he said that should be fine. (Plus, I was driving over 30 minutes to get there!) My 2nd trip, I arrived at 4:15, to no one in the store, he was in the back moving boxes. I waited, now he comes out recognizing me, looking at his watch, saying "oh, it's really late...I'm not sure we can process your jewelry". Then offered to process what he could (partial)...I agreed. Understanding that they close. He kept looking at his watch & talking about how they are closing soon (mind you, I already told him I would leave, once closing time came around). STILL HASN'T STARTED PROCESSING MY JEWELRY, he gets up & goes to talk to the same manager....who comes out trying to explain that bc of their system & closing time, he would have to pay this guy overtime & that "you look visibly upset & pissed, so I'm sure we aren't going to make you happy!" Who the hell says something like that, to a customer who was completely understanding of the situation!? DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY IN THIS PLACE! Just all around bad business & terrible customer service! I'll gladly take my business elsewhere folks! read more
