It reminds me of those playgrounds wheels from the 80s but with more safety considerations without removing the fun. The play area is turf and surrounded by picnic tables and Adirondack chairs, with plenty of shade. The design is thoughtful and makes for a great place to spend an afternoon. The parking is free and right next to the play area. It feels secluded and somehow also right in the middle of everything. The only thing missing is a bathroom and while I understand that it's prevent homeless people from moving in, it does limit the amount of time that anyone can hang out here (especially with littles). Still a nice place to enjoy a coffee or picnic and let the kiddos play.

I met up with a friend that I hadn't seen for awhile and it was the perfect place to catch up during a walk around of the garden. I loved the pond with the lily pads and turtles, and the Heritage House surrounded by orange trees and roses. I was impressed by the amount of orange trees. It reminds you of why they call it Orange County. If I went to school here I'd be here probably once a week. Otherwise it's great to come if you live in the OC.

From the parking lot it was easy to follow the signs along to the garden. The garden had areas that represented Woodlands, Mediterranean, Dessert, and a Cultivated Collection. There were walking paths but I still recommend closed toed shoes since it's a bit sandy. They had many benches throughout for resting or handing out and admiring nature. We spent about an hour here, but to be fair I'm not that into nature. I GOT A BUG BITE and it swelled and was super itchy. Sigh. I think someone who super loved nature or wanted to take their time to hang out could take 2-3 admiring all the plant life. My FAVORITE moments here was when we came across wildlife. My favorite were the rabbit, turtle, and crane. It's beautiful. Great spot to get some steps in and absorb some sunlight.

I hate being out under the sun so I can use alllll the shade! There are several entrances to this place depending on what you want to do. The South St side is a better one for birding. There's parking on one end and residential on another end. Great place to have your leisure walks by yourself or with your dog.

There are trails to access different parts of the lake. Many people circle around the lake or fish recreationally. Signs around the lake continue to prohibit feeding the wildlife. I'm happy with the pictures I took, but I can still improve. The experience was decompressing with sounds of flowing creek water and birds chirping all around the air.

Parking is easy with a large lot right next to the lake, opposite of the lake are some hiking trails if you have more time. It's a nice loop going around with some different areas along the way such as a small creek, reeds near the shore, and some water works that looks like they have been turned off or no longer function. Even in Winter there are a lot of different birds around. My kids loved following and chasing the large pelicans in the lake. You can fish here and there are children's fishing competitions. Just keep in mind to have a permit because when we went there was a police officer checking and ticketing people.

There was some sort of soccer practice going on and some children playing on the playground- yet no loud noises really. It was a pleasant experience.

this is a pretty nice park. tucked away in a residential area. there could be way more parking (and…read morei think street parking is limited because of the residents) but it's fine. the rink is cool; there were a bunch of guys practicing while i was there and they stayed pretty late. the park area is large and the grass is well kept. there were a number of off-leash dogs and they kind of hassled me which stressed my (leashed) dog out. they encouraged me to let her go and play even though i said she is not chill. she did pretty well for the most part so that was nice! i went late at night so there weren't any kids at the park but the play area is pirate ship themed and they had three different fixtures depending on age. if i go back during the day and it's a different vibe, i'll update this review.

We all wanted to try something different. My first time here, and I enjoyed the scenery of the lake, picnic areas, and the monuments. Very nice family park for people of all ages. Plenty of tables to eat it. Restrooms are kept clean too. It was just exciting to be here. We will all make plenty of trips here again.

We don't come too often because the playgrounds are a little old and for bigger kids. It's more of a nice space for walking with the strollers. There is a lot of different areas to park here, which is helpful.
