The parking is free and right next to the play area. It feels secluded and somehow also right in the middle of everything. The only thing missing is a bathroom and while I understand that it's prevent homeless people from moving in, it does limit the amount of time that anyone can hang out here (especially with littles). I don't usually review parks, but did this time because I knew that this beauty was not getting the flowers that it deserved. Stopped by yesterday evening for a 1.5-hour hot girl walk with a friend, and it checked all the usual boxes. Clean, well maintained, plenty of mature trees, and wide paths that make it easy to settle into a good conversation without constantly dodging people. It has that easygoing neighborhood feel that works just as well for a book club meetup, a picnic date, or a jog if you're in that 5k/marathon phase of your quarter life crisis like my friends are. An unexpected highlight for us was catching skytyping that was announcing Olivia Rodrigo's new album, "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love," which is scheduled for release on June 12, 2026. We were craning our necks for a cool 20 minutes trying to figure out what the message meant and I didn't figure it out until looking it up on Reddit when I got home. Not exactly standard park entertainment, but definitely memorable. Also worth noting, right across the street we came across a full Zumba class happening in a small private studio. Apparently it runs every Thursday evening with a $7.00 cover. If you're into that kind of thing, it could be a fun way to switch things up. Both offer goof parking availability, both are well placed for long distance running, with paths consistent of dirt trails of pavement and concrete, with a few obstacles, all of which are easy to moderate. It seems like a good place for walkers, joggers runners and for bikers . The paths at hart park starts by the old buildings of the swimming pool area. Crossing towards the west, you'll come across a few highway overpasses and an archery park, and a open air auditorium . Along the way, a dry water shed that connects to Santiago park, which has been in redevelopment . New trails, new kids park, new arbory and cleaned up trails. The trail extends into and past the science center and willl make its way to the entrance of the mall, by Broadway. On your return trip, there will be outlets by the rail, that lead out to the neighboring community. Total path in and out can 2 to 4 ... but can extend to over 8 miles... if one follows east of hart park. Overall, great family trails, clean, quiet and welcoming and beyond all else, made for everyone to have fun. Rating of 3.9 to 4.1 stars

Lots of birds twittering, crows and geese present. The restrooms are open and clean. The basketball courts are in good repair. One corner has children's park equipment to play on. There are picnic benches, places to barbecue, trash cans that have recently been emptied. There's a man over there with his bike, just like me, just sitting and looking at what's going on around him. A man is jogging and a woman is doing her calisthenics. It's a quiet and peaceful oasis in the middle of the city.

There are a few benches on the other side of the park and scattered throughout with lots more trees around them, but you do not have a great view of the playground. The Play structures are in really great condition, there are two regular swings and two infant/toddler swings, a basketball court, and a large baseball/softball field with lots of grassy area for running as well. There seems to be a small recreation center and restrooms, but they are blocked off by a large covered gate. I'm assuming for a construction.
