Been here twice for my eye checkup and they exceed my expectations. Location: the clinic is along Pelham Parkway. There is a huge selection of eyeglasses. There are few seatings inside, very clean. Employee: Dr. Diana Ilyasova is very nice. She explains well all the test that were done and what is beneficial for your eye health. The techs were good as well, they properly clean the machines before you go on it. Definitely the best eye clinic in the Bronx. Will come back again for my eye health needs. read more

I came about 15 minutes early to my appt because I knew I'd have to fill out paperwork. My appt was at 11:40AM. I was taken to do a few tests, and seen right away. When I voiced my concern to Dr. Ilyasova about my glasses rx and my contact lens, she did not overlook it, and did a corneal scan. She was very understanding and did not push me at all to purchase more expensive glasses (since I am still a student). She even gave me a free trial of contact lenses. SHE'S THE BEST. I am definitely going to continue going to her. I was out of the office by 12:19PM, and most of that time, I was in the exam room with dr. Ilyasova. Shes a sweetheart ! And the front desk girls were really nice, too! Maybe I got lucky with the wait time, but shes really a doll. And super understanding ! read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. They are a nightmare to deal with AT the appointment and ANYTIME you have to use your prescription to order contacts. I moved a year ago and needed an updated contact prescription so I saw that this place was close and decided to try it out. They had a Groupon so I figured why not. When I got to the appointment and they saw I had a Groupon, the woman immediately said "if you have astigmatism you will owe more money". I said okay well I don't so no worries. Then when I went back and the doctor (before even looking at me) said "we'll check you for astigmatism just in case". As much as I appreciate everyone looking out for astigmatisms, I REALLY felt like they just wanted the extra money. As expected, I did not have one - however she must have marked something on my chart about it...... So there have been THREE instances where I have tried to order contacts (Walgreens.com & Coastal.com) where they need to verify that my prescription is correct and EVERY TIME they say that the prescription is wrong and it should be contacts for astigmatism. Mind you that I have the actual prescription that they have signed themselves that has nothing about this imaginary astigmatism. I have called and left messages and they did not call me back. I finally was able to reach someone at their office today after Walgreens sent me an email saying my order was canceled because the prescription was "denied by my eye care prescriber". The woman at the office told me that someone had put in my records that I DO have astigmatism. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE. read more

I highly recommend Dr Oleg Lisitsyn, as he and his staff were outstanding and meticulous in diagnosing an eye problem which had developed in my right eye. He was instrumental in sending me to an awesome specialist, Dr Elona Gavazi, also in the Bronx, who performed a miraculous laser surgery today! Please do not come here if you want to get a prescription to PURCHASE CONTACTS ONLINE or expect quality customer service. This place continues to break the law as they do not allow customers to purchase their own contacts from another source. These sites outline the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act and Contact Lens Rule, passed in 2003: tinyurl.com/hk8tnaz or 1800contacts.com/connect.... The law described above stipulates that you have a right to your prescription and "once your contact lens fitting is done, your eye doctor must give you a copy of your prescription -- whether you ask for it or not - and without an extra fee or the need to sign a waiver or form". Upon requesting multiple times, I was denied a copy of my prescription. Because I already paid for the examination, I would be wasting money if I were to get another prescription from a different location in order to purchase contacts online. Do not make the same mistake and go somewhere else for your contact prescription. In addition, not only does this store force you to purchase their brand of contact lenses, the receptionists are exceptionally rude and lack any sense of quality customer service. They sneer at you when you ask them to repeat themselves and often contradict themselves when they tell you how much prices are. I'm not sure how this place is still running in spite of all the bad press it's received. Be warned. read more

If I could have given a zero star review I would have. Very unpleasant and unprofessional experience. The glasses that you get through your insurance are not suppose to be disposable. My cvs readers last longer than glasses made by this supposedly professional store. The policy of the store does not include fixing the problem or helping you in any shape or form. Glasses fell apart after a couple of months and now are in the trash. Would never recommend this establishment. read more

This is the best vision center in the Bronx. It is extremely clean and well put together. The doctor is very sweet and caring. I am very picky when it comes to choosing glasses so I was not easy to deal with. Silvana was wonderful and so patient with me. I will definitely go back. I came here a year ago for contacts. They had some of the cheapest prices i the Bronx. This year I got contacts and glasses. This is the on;y place that has been able to accommodate my prescription in a pair of glasses that I enjoy wearing. Broke my glasses on a Sunday. Fortunately I had kept a pair of old hard contacts to get me through until Monday. On Monday afternoon, I walked into Pelham Parkway Vision Center with no appointment really just hoping to get one later in the week. Instead, the gal at the reception area said, "Wouldn't you rather see the Dr. Today?" So shortly after walking in with no appointment, I completed one of the most thorough eye exams in recent memory, was fitted with a 90 day supply of contact lenses, and experienced the best in professional and friendly service from Dr. Diana and her team.
