Both crews knew exactly what needed to be done and were quick and efficient. They took care to not damage the emerging Spring landscape plants and flowers. All debris was removed. I'm starting with this because anything relating to doing Plumbing or Electrical work, or installing egress windows in a basement requires permits. Why....because there are a lot of unlicensed contractors in Wisconsin that do bad work and by pulling a permit, the city inspector has to come out to check the work to make sure the contractor charging you money knows what he is doing. Next, this guy, quoted me $11000 for a job and wanted $8000 up front.....huge red flag. Why you ask, because and I quote Stefan, I'm a small company, I cant compete with multi million dollar companies. Right away this made me think, this guy is going to take my money and run, 2, this guy may do work, but has no money to pay his guys, so the project will be in limbo forever, and lastly, because he has no money, he needs to have multiple projects going at the same time to have any money. Stefan, was at my condo when I told him over the phone I was not going to give him $8000 up front. I told him I will give him $2000 up front, and make progress payments based on his work, he argued with me for 10 minutes, whining about how hes a little company and has only been in business 2 years. He was doing demo on my bathroom, he removed the shower, toilet and vanity, but only disposed of the shower, he basically left after I gave him the $2000. Because he was supposed to do plumbing work on my condo, the hoa requires a weeks heads up to shut down the plumbing stack in my building. He did the week notice, but never showed up. My wife called an texted and he gave us numerous excuses ranging from he was sick, to my wife didnt pick out materials.....which he was supposed to meet her for, and never showed. The last excuse that he didn't think the H.O.A needed notice because he can shut off the water inside the unit. This is when it dawned on me he's not licensed. There is no water shut off in my unit, you have to shut off the water supply to the unit to change the plumbing. I called an emergency plumber that I was referred to that same day, the first thing he said was I need to pull permits for this....awesome, lets do it. Stefan never mentioned permits.....because you reading this are as licensed as Stefan is. I checked the Wisconsin License Bureau, there is no contractors license under AAA General Contracting. As I write this, he has ignored my wifes wishes to get the fob to our building, keys to our condo and the balance of the deposit back. Stay away from this guy, he will be out of business and will not be able to warranty his bad work in years to come. For basements I would recommend Total Basement Finishing's, for plumbing Hagen Plumbing and for General Construction, Classic Carpentry.

He let me know his first available time and arrived on time ready to go to work. Absolutely Avoid - Unlicensed, Unskilled, and Completely Irresponsible…read more I strongly advise anyone considering this company for roofing work to look elsewhere. They advertise themselves as "roofing experts," but the truth is appalling: surely only one individual on their team, maybe the "boss" is actually licensed for roofing. The rest of the labor is subcontracted to unlicensed, untrained workers - individuals they seem to pick up from street corners or Home Depot parking lots, South American migrants, with no verified experience in roofing or skylight installation. The crew that came to replace my roof was in junk trucks that collect trash items, with no company logos; they spoke no English, the tools they used were a duck taped 2 ladders into one so they can get to the roof and duck taped electric cables to play Latin music while "working". Before leaving the block they collected some of my neighbors trash chairs and baby crib. One of their "bosses" proudly stated they are from Guatemala. Regardless where they are from they had no clue of the job to be done or work ethics. A side note: they ruined my flower beds and plants I had just planted in Spring. I hired the company to replace my roof and skylight because the 2 American gentlemen that came to my door to get my business seemed thrust worthy. I did not go out looking for them, there were other companies coming as well since we just had hail. However, due to their subcontracting, the job was clearly botched. As soon as winter hit -- the first winter after the roof replacement -- the skylight started leaking around the corners of the skylight. Water damage stained the bathroom ceiling, completely ruining the paint and creating the perfect conditions for mold to grow. Despite multiple calls and three return visits where they applied sealant around the skylight (and proudly showed me the caulking tube as if that's a professional solution), they now deny any responsibility. Instead, they're absurdly blaming "temperature changes" -- despite the fact that I've lived in this home for over four years and never had a leak before they touched the roof. They also said it is practically "impossible" to file claim with the skylight manufacturer- no explanation given. Their customer service is dismissive, evasive, and frankly insulting. One of the guys offered me $100. They refuse to fix the damage their shoddy workmanship caused, and it's clear they never intended to stand by their work in the first place. Their practices are shady, their professionalism nonexistent, and their concern for client satisfaction is zero. Clearly, hiring them you get zero warranty on their labor. This company is a textbook example of what happens when you hire people who cut corners, use unqualified labor, and run from accountability. Save yourself the stress, expense, and water damage -- hire a licensed, reputable roofer who takes their craft and clients seriously. I'll be taking legal action.

What I noticed with Chris's approach to work was that he completed the project professionally and to the specifications intended. Chris senior and his son showed cooperative teamwork, working as efficiently as two adults, as such the project was completed early. The work site was kept clean and well organized. The original masonry project was for $500. This included the contractor paying for materials (the…read moreconcrete and the "parge" materials). I then asked him if he can do a railing with the understanding since it is not his expertise that I was buying the railing and the screws. This project was originally quoted over a phone call for $300 which he then tried to ask for more and I told him if he was not sticking to his word that he could take the railing project out and continue on with work on the chimney only. The remainder of the chimney (his expertise so materials like the first job should have been included in the job quote) was to be $500. He stated he would stick to his quote to complete the requested job (railing and chimney) for $850 the 50 extra for the concrete screws needed to complete the install of the railing. Once he completed the railing he requested to be paid $500 now $300 for the chimney. I agreed to this with the understanding that the chimney would then be knocked down to 300. He then back tracked multiple times trying to get more money for the chimney by sending materials costs to me (which any contractor should already have factored this into the quote and like was previously factored into the original quote). I then declined services after calling out the inconsistencies. He then proceeded to text me again to apologize for not sticking to his word and "being a good guy" would complete the project as originally stated. Which I then refused again. He proceeded to send a long message trying to justify all his actions and lack of sticking to his word. I would never hire this company again as they clearly are not professionals with quoting out jobs and blaming the consumer that they didn't do things properly.
