The installation team was excellent--efficient, respectful, and careful to protect our existing lawn during the process. We really appreciated the attention to detail. We ordered quite a few trees from them this year (and even more from another local nursery). We had money down on trees that were due to arrive within 1-2 months from deposit. As it got closer, they did not notify us the date had changed, so by the time we were notified, others go to come and make a pick before us (instead of picking two from about a dozen, we picked from four). In the end we were happy with our purchases, but they could work out some of the logistics and followthrough with regular customers (we sensed the contractors got a little more attention). Also, I will add that years ago we paid for someone from Johnsons to come and give us ideas for our yard. I think we paid about $150 to get the lamest "sketch", but Johnsons was good about refunding the amount as a credit towards future purchases. It just was a bummer that we wasted time waiting for the person to come out and then a month for them to give us a photo of our yard with some pictures of 2 plants awkwardly pasted over it. If the person had take us seriously, they would have gotten way more business from us. Still, we recommend this place for its large inventory and quality of products.

We had a specific plan that was a bit "outside the box" from what the typical customer is looking for in design and foliage. Our goal was to use only unique native Wisconsin plants that came from nearby nurseries to reduce our carbon footprint, without any shrubs, bushes or evergreens. Also, wanted species that would thrive without the use of chemical fertilizers or herbicides. The representatives from the first 3 landscaping companies that came to look at the project seemed confused and unsure on what we were trying to accomplish. Then we came upon Eco Harmony! I mentioned to Mike that we love to explore the trails at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center and were going for that type of vibe. He followed up with a plan and design we loved. Aside from coming up with a design that matched our vision, what really impressed us was how Mike went out of his way to meet with us at less than convenient hours. I typically don't get home from work until 8PM. Mike met with us several times in the later evening to finalize plans. His patience and easy going approach were much appreciated as well.
