Andy Construction gave us a very reasonable quote for removing what was there and installing the vapor barriers, replacing spotty floor insulation, sealing cracks and new access doors. The crew was courteous, on time, and left no mess. We haven't seen a mouse since and the ants are getting under control. Our floors and home are so much warmer! We heartily recommend Andy's Construction.

I highly recommend Andy Construction!…read more I've used Andy Construction several times over the years at different places I have owned. Andy has done a variety of work for me. At my most recent home, he did foundation work, drainage work including exterior drainage, and work on my sump pump. Andy always responds quickly to my messages. Some businesses always want to do work for you, regardless whether it's needed. One thing I've noticed about Andy is that his professional advice often includes telling me that I don't need something done instead of trying to make money off me. That's the kind of honesty people always wish they could find in a business and an individual. In fact, just today, I texted him with a concern I had about whether an issue needed any attention. I sent him some pictures and videos and he told me that there was nothing to worry about. No cost for that at all!

Over the span of three months, he oversaw the demolition of the house, removing two load bearing walls as well as all of the flooring and bathrooms (tub, toilets, vanities). I would give Simon a 6-star rating if that was an option. His demeanor as head contractor was always calm, respectful and considerate. He guided me through the process of selecting new floors, appliances, fixtures, and a completely new HVAC system. Simon's subcontractors were all very friendly and professional. It appears that he is very careful in who he hires for his remodels. All aspects of their work met my approval in quality. It with great pleasure and confidence that I recommend Simon and his crew to undertake any kitchen, bath and home remodeling that a customer might desire!

April 2025 Seattle, WA…read more Why we chose to work with Simon: 1) We gathered about a dozen estimates. Simon was one of two contractors who offered bids within our budget. 2) Simon spent a full hour exploring the space and asking questions. All other bids completed only a cursory look of the space, and failed to notice details that needed consideration. Simon pointed out a lot of things that were important for us to understand before moving forward with the project. Simon also said that estimate would take a couple of days to fine tune (versus other contractors who seemed to just throw out a number). 3) Simon immediately came across as a person with integrity and good communication skills. Our experience with Simon and his team: 1) Impeccable communication throughout the process. No leaving us in the dark, and always responsive to our questions. Simon responds to texts and emails right away. 2) Consistent work schedule. Once the project started, his team was at the house for 10 hours daily, 5 to 6 days per week. No disappearing acts. 3) Excellent team - Incredibly skilled with attention to detail. The team is also polite and conscientious. 4) Design skills - Rather than hire a separate designer, Simon and his team were meticulous in making sure the design details and colors were aligned with our 1904 house architecture. 6) Beautiful results -- We now have a renovated, upscale master bathroom that even has a custom vanity. I was so happy with the outcome that I also hired his team to replace our 120-year old wood floors. Our house has not only been transformed into an elegant space but we were able to keep both projects to a budget that was less than what most contractors estimated for just the bathroom project! We fully intend to hire Simon again for future projects!

You will need to get someone else to sort that out."), and once I had the permit, Scott sent over a contract. The contract included a clause stating "all claims and disputes between the parties arising out of or related to this Agreement shall be resolved by binding arbitration" which I didn't feel comfortable with. I suggested removing that clause, and Scott insisted on it remaining in the contract as written. I accepted and asked Scott if he would like me to sign electronically or on paper. At that point I didn't hear from him for one week despite multiple emails and phone calls. After a week, he emailed me saying the negotiation (despite my accepting the original contract in the end) was a "big red flag from me and I don't think we can do the job for you." Overall I found this interaction to be incredibly unprofessional, especially since we had been in communication for multiple months and intended to start contraction in just a few weeks.

Eric was incredibly patient with the deluge of questions we had during the planning stages. He has excellent foresight and advice for everything from layout to return on investment. Expectations were clear from the start. He's really easy to work with and talk to. Both of our projects came in within the (very reasonable) quotes he provided. He was punctual and left the worksite clean and safe every day. 100% recommend.

They finished the work on time, being early at crucial milestones, and completed it under budget. Eric, the owner and contractor met with us several times ahead of the remodel to discuss what we wanted. He explained his philosophy and in depth knowledge of his craft. He said that he dedicates his time to one job at a time and kept our budget in mind. He communicated well with us so that we could understand and was patient and very positive. He gave us multiple options for our design with consideration given to functionality and Feng shui. His design capability was excellent and he used his real estate experience to help us in this way. However, he allowed us to make our own choices. We got a schedule of the remodel and a detailed list of the products needed and presumptive prices. We were given the option of buying our own and a credit or debit would be listed in this case. Eric would purchase the material if we didn't, keeping track of our budget. We bought about 60% of the materials. We were made aware of the tariffs put on some of the products, and the sales in the future when we could save on some of the products. We were advised to go slow on the larger purchases like the cabinets. We chose to DIY the flooring and paint. Being novices, Eric was very helpful in advising us in these areas allowing us again to stay in budget and on time. Prior to construction, Eric pointed out some red flags, such as a popcorn ceiling which did have some asbestos, and a leaky water main. He arranged for two other contractors to remove the asbestos and apply drywall. He also replaced our water main turn off valve. Overall, having a contractor who devotes his time to your remodel, punctual, keeps within budget, and tailor to how you live, no matter how large or small the remodel, is an excellent one.
