UPDATED REVIEW: I am…read morereceiving notifications that individuals associated with the school have attempted to have this review removed. For clarity and documentation purposes, I am updating this review and will be adding supporting photos. PARENTS, PLEASE READ: This review reflects my personal experience regarding an incident involving my first-grade son while attending Belleview Christian School. My son attended Belleview Christian for a short period of time. During that time, an incident occurred that was deeply distressing for him and for our family. The restroom where this occurred did not have traditional solid stall doors. The stalls were separated by fabric-style partitions rather than full doors. While using that restroom, my 7-year-old son was in a stall, pants down, using the toilet. A much older student entered and physically assaulted him. He was repeatedly hit and pushed into the toilet. Only after my son screamed at the top of his lungs did a staff member hear him and come into the restroom. He was then sent back to class. I was not notified at the time of the incident. I learned what had happened only after my son got into my car after school and immediately broke down crying, shaking, and visibly distressed as he described the event. I documented his condition that afternoon. An incident report later stated that I had been contacted by phone. I did not receive a phone call. I reviewed my phone records from that day and have documentation of all incoming and outgoing calls. There was no call from the school. After I requested documentation, the school provided an incident report stating that my son was injured by a "toilet handle" and that there was "no visible swelling or bruising." Immediately after picking him up from school, I took him to urgent care. Medical professionals documented visible bruising and swelling across his back. When I requested that the report be corrected to reflect the medical findings, I experienced what I believe was resistance and a lack of transparency in the process. Because of that experience, I began documenting all subsequent communications. Since this incident, my son has struggled with using school bathrooms and has experienced ongoing distress. This occurred when he was in first grade. He is now in fifth grade, and he still speaks about what happened. He remains in therapy as a result of this event. Based on our experience: * I did not feel there was adequate supervision. * I did not receive timely parent notification. * I did not feel the response was transparent. * I did not feel there was meaningful accountability regarding how the incident was handled. My intention in posting this review is to share our experience so that other parents can make informed decisions. This is a truthful account of what occurred, supported by documentation. I stand by the facts of our experience. Your child's safety depends on leadership you trust. Based on what happened in our situation, I did not feel confident that my child was protected or that the incident was handled in a clear and responsible manner.

So far they have delivered the goods: our kids are making big strides on the reading / writing / arithmetic basics which were missing at their previous secular private school, and have a Christ-centered curriculum where kids will learn a lot and be academically and spiritually prepared for life. We love the teachers, the thorough communication, and the price-value.

We requested an tour visit online thru Cornerstone Christian Academy early Dec. 2017. Quickly received scheduled date in writing via email Jan. 25th, 2017 @ 9:30 a.m. with Kathy Young Enrollment Director (That's funny). We both took time off work schedules in hopes to bring our son with us as a family because we do everything together as a family our intentions were to get a feeling of the school together as a family... As we entered the school the front desk lady had no records of any type of tour visit scheduled. Took the lady 5 to 10 minutes finally we pulled up the email from our mobile phones that Kathy Young originally sent us to confirm the scheduled tour visit. We were told the school tour visit was changed to Feb. 8th, 2017 without notifying us, Kathy Young had out information and sent us confirmation email when we scheduled/requested a tour visit of the school. Completely unacceptable being this is supposedly a Christian School, whatever happened to the commandment "Treat others the way you would like to be treated". Guess this simple parable isn't practiced and/or simply to difficult to comprehend at this school. After speaking to my wife we decided to not to ever return to this school EVER!!! "RED FLAG" If we can't be taken seriously as future client with our son simply as communicating out of respect to notify us of the change would have been a lot better than to enter an expected meeting scheduled set in writing to arrive and find out school tour visit was changed. Completely Unacceptable at the highest level. This is not how you operate in the "Spirit of Excellence" Flag #2 Another simply parable not practiced at this school neither. Maybe this school took at look at our names and dropped us from the list on purposes. Go figured it hasn't been the first people treated us poorly by our names and appearance in Colorado. Maybe this is the schools agenda in silence! We'll never know the truth. World we live in now. Doesn't surprise us neither (New Normal) If I was able to give zero stars I would have but the review on this website doesn't allow it. I'd give this place Negative -5. In this day principle and respect has more value that money and credit. If this so called Christian Organization can't honor the simply aspect of scheduling a meeting we can't EVER TRUST these people and most definitely will never TRUST Cornerstone Christian Academy ever in this life time... Poorly Job Cornerstone Academy; You dropped the ball on DIVERSITY!!!

I have been attending churches for over 20 years and this is the first diverse church I have been to, so many are like "you need to look like us" "run in our circles" and "have the money and community standing like us"; NONE of that was at Victory Church! I will be coming back for sure!

I even used to be a youth pastor for almost 4 years. The reason I'm leaving a 2 star review is because for my profession and I would even say calling on my life, I'm a Fitness Trainer with Camp Gladiator. A week ago I reached out to Victory Church, being it a large church, to see if they'd be able to help me out by renting indoor space from them. I know they have the space. Our mission with Camp Gladiator is to impact the physical fitness and ultimately the lives of as many people as possible. That's very similar to most Christian churches. Well, Victory Church denied me indoor space without even listening to what we do since I don't go to their church. The reason I asked this church is because I teach outdoor camp literally minutes from them. I thought it would be a great spot that would also bring health and fitness motivation to their congregation. Well, just today on 10/30/18 I stopped by. I was like, well they denied me space, but I'd still love to share a promo with them to give all their staff and church members the rest of this year free if they commit to their health in 2019. I walked up to the church building and a lady was walking in. I asked her if this was the correct entrance and she looked at me and just kept walking. I come up to the door and I press the call box. I introduced myself and said I'd like to share with them this deal. She said, "you have to make an appointment. I respond, "an appointment to leave a flier." She responds, "just leave the flier on the mailbox with a rock or something." I told her it was wet because it's clearly raining and gonna snow tonight. I just told her never mind, thanks. That all said, for a mega Christian Church, I wish you would have more awareness on how to be more welcoming. Twice, you have shut me out without even looking at me face to face. I hope you're not like this with new guests. Feel free to respond to me Victory Church.

Ok, I'm an on-again off-again church goer. So you know my "as good as it gets" has a lengthy list…read moreof qualifiers I need not go into just yet. Sometimes I just don't like crowds, sometimes I need to get something done - like work, sometimes I just can't stand people. Then there's the time when my frontal temporal lobes are craving that God thing. Maybe I just need to hang with others. The Journey Church (of which there are a number in the Denver metro area - this one has been meeting at Front Range Community College - Westminster for over ten years and has no affiliation with the others) is a small to moderate sized group of people who let you be you. That is my idea of church. But its way more different than that. Sure there's free food and coffee, etc. Yah, they've got chairs facing front and a band - really cool, honest Irish drummers, etc. The 3 leaders - Jackie - yes, she's a woman, Rob and Michael are down to earth - good people. Married with children. Yah, sometimes there's some yapping at the back of the meeting room - hey, it's a college - people get up and get coffee in the middle of whatever is going on. There's always a movie clip - something new and relevant to the topic of the day. For a moment, you're not in "church". You're in your living room, watching a clip from a movie you really enjoyed. The leaders are humble and admit their frailties - now that's a bit different. Also people do other stuff in this church. Dive - that's the food bank work. Theology on Tap - love that one - we meet once a month at a bar and talk about just about anything. Feeding the homeless and helping those in the Journey who need help. The Vault - women talking women stuff. Other things haven't investigated. Sundays, of course at Front Range Community College in Westminster - two services - 9:30 and 11:00 - child care at both - dress is casual, and of course, coffee! Anyway, after growing up Catholic, marrying a Protestant and neither of us going to church, Journey is where I meet good people, get that God connect and my wicked donut fix. Oh, yah, I feel loved here.
