This is an excellent school! The teachers are all kind and patient. My son attended here from two to four years old and is now in kindergarten. He was able to learn, socialize and have fun all during Covid with mask and all. My son also has food allergies (pre-covid) and the school is allergy aware having kids keep good hand washing hygiene and good communication with the parent regarding food activities and parties. My daughters is attending here and will be here for one more year before she starts kindergarten. The kids have time to get use to procedures and attend specials such as library, science, and, music. All three of my daughters have attended Pender Hill Preschool and we have very fond memories of their time there. We have formed long lasting friendships with both the staff and other attending families. They have put a lot of heart and effort into cultivating an environment that IS FAMILY! The teachers are warm and loving, and you really feel like you are putting your child in the best of hands during their time there. The kids get plenty of socializing, playing, practice with fine motor skills, learning their letters, months, numbers, seasons, etc. The list goes on and on. The children get music class, science lessons, library time. I mean, it's the perfect prep for elementary school! They also have a couple of wonderful programs that other preschools don't often have. A Mothers Day Out program for the one year olds that give the kids some fun time with friends and the Moms some much needed time to get errands and appointments in! They also had an extended day option that was available on some days for some of the ages that gave them an extra two hours of time there. I absolutely LOVE Pender Hill School. My daughter attended here from the time she was a little over 1 until this past spring when she graduated at the age of 4. Pender felt like more than a school to us, they became a family and home away from home. My daughter literally cried about having to leave the school because of kindergarten and made me promise her that we will go back and visit. The teachers here are wonderful and have so many years of experience under their belts and the directors are wonderful and truly care about the children and their well being as well as emotional/educational growth. We loved our experience here. Our daughter attended for a year from age 3 - 4 years old. Great learning environment and staff who cares and loves what they do! Our daughter learned how to spell her name and identify letters in this school. We enjoyed our time there. read more

My kids both attend here, and they love it. The teachers are wonderful, kind and patient. The kids do a variety of activities everyday. They get to pack lunch and eat it there so it helps to prepare them for the day when they go off to kindergarten. The tuition is not at the high end, and the education provided is clearly worth much more. read more

Excellent program. My oldest child attended here for 3 year and 4 year class and my youngest will begin here next year. We drive out of our way to this school because it has been a wonderful experience all around. We have been thrilled with the teachers and the administration. As far as contacting the school and not getting a response, that would likely be because school was not actually in session when other reviewers posted here on Yelp. This is not a daycare that operates 10 hours a day year-round, so if you are contacting in the summer, it will likely be quite a while before someone responds, and I find that very understandable considering this is a part-time program late September to early June. read more

I also tried calling, emailing, and leaving messages to inquire about openings for my daughter and never heard back. I wouldn't want to send my child to a achool that's so poorly run that the person in charge of admissions can't even be bothered to reply to an email. read more

I've tried to contact them by phone, voicemail, as well as email and they were not responsive over a course of several months (I still have not heard from them). It's unfortunate that a Christian facility has such poor outreach and witnessing ability. read more

I have multiple children at this school and they love it here and thrive. The teacher are so warm and loving, and my kids love going to school every day. There are programs for babies as young as 1 year old all the way to pre-K for 4 and 5 year olds. The person below who gave the school a low rating said they never got a response to enquiries is unfortunate. I wonder if the calls happened in the summer because they are not there in the summer. Also, like most preschools, registration occurs in Jan or February for the following September, and most spots are filled by summer. I highly recommend this school and to schedule a visit if you are looking for a loving preschool for your kids. read more
