Pendleton has been around for a long time, but they are slowly reaching out with more direct retail stores. This store is located in the Napa Premium Outlets mall in Napa. Parking is decent on site, but the facility is a little difficult to access from the freeway with a few complicated turns. The mall is outdoors so prepare for the weather. Inside, the store is a little bland, but the focus is on the product. They have an extensive collection of clothing and home goods - mostly their wool blankets. Some of the product is on sale with most of their items at the same price charged online. I was able to score a great deal on one of their Native American style blankets. Buying a wool blanket on a hot summer day is interesting, but the quality and design are great. Plus, they are a lot cheaper than an authentic blanket! The clothing style is traditional, unique, and better for warmer climates. However, even in California we often need cold weather stuff for trips to Tahoe and beyond. Pendleton has a great selection of clothing and decor items for those cold cabin trips. The store is rather basic, but the helpful staff makes the process warm as well.

Kate Spade - Is that a $500 ( hope for an even bigger sale) tote? In nylon not leather? yup.

Is it my timing? I thought I saw so many more purses that suited me on my last trip. But I prefer…read morepurses that are better suited for work and the holiday purses were out in force. I saw quite a few cute holiday purses and I liked them. That's kind of unusual since I hate bling. I don't like little tiny purses and I can't stand unitaskers. The best bags for me were the nylon totes. I spotted one that I liked but it was $500 and even with 70% off possibly with an additional 20% off I don't spend that kind of money on nylon bags. Gimme leather. So I moped out. Next time... Unless Dooney and Bourke hits me with a fab sale before Kate does. Customer service was positively indulgent. I explained I was window shopping for the holidays and from the number of pleased noises I was making they know it just a matter of time. You see savvy retail staff will spot the Kate Spade purse on your shoulder even if you're dressed like a clown. And that is the reason why you should carry a power purse I subscribe to the Kate Spade emails but have discovered that Kate Spade Outlet has their own emails. If you try to compare prices it gets confusing fast. Suffice to say, there isn't much overlap. It is perfectly possible the item you want is on sale but only at one of the three options. Or maybe at the store. There isn't one convenient to me. I recommend you create an online account for Kate Spade outlet. They have great tools to help you figure out the right size and color purse. They list inventory online or in store. And the prices are posted clearly. Great timesaver!

It's very walkable, feels safe, and has that nice open downtown layout where you can let kids wander a bit. This was helpful since we were meeting our nephews there for part of the day. Everything is close together, so you can go from wine tasting to shopping to coffee or dinner. We spent the afternoon popping in and out of shops and had a great time. I stopped into C'est La Paire looking for comfortable walking shoes and Deb was so sweet and helpful. I also loved Tay & Grace and Kalifornia Jean Bar--both had a ton of things I wanted to take home. We grabbed coffee at Deuces, which is super cute and local-feeling, and I picked up a gift for my nephews and my dog at Hopscotch & Bark (honestly one of the cutest shops)! We wandered into Eiko's for happy hour, which was gold - great prices and really solid sushi. Definitely try the Ricky Ricardo on Vacation and, oh my god, the Bluefin Avocado Sashimi is out of this world. We were walking back to the hotel and happened to hear some live music down at Tonewood & Courage, which was such a cool venue. Overall it's just an easy, enjoyable spot to spend the day with a little bit of everything and we didn't even have to get in our car. Everyone loved it!

The wings (best everrrrr), the bahn mi, the pho... their pizzas. You can't go wrong. Same with Deuces Market. Great place to hang out outside. Love their chai. It's also a nice spot to grab a bottle of wine and relax. Just has a local feel. Eiko's has been a family favorite forever and one of us doesn't even eat fish - it has something for everyone... but you can't go wrong with any of their sushi rolls. We can't go to First Street without stopping at The Bennington and Copperfield's. My boys love picking out a new book. They have a great kid's section. And don't forget to climb the squirrel for 15 minutes, at least! :) Oh and we had the best date making our own candles/scents at Bougie. I highly recommend taking a class. Afterward, we had dinner at Hestan, and it was incredible! I highly recommend checking them out. Tonewood & Courage is such a local gem. I wish I could go to more of their shows, such a cool venue. I feel like locals miss out not coming to downtown often - we love it.
