When the 2 young men got there, they were very nice and apologetic, which was all well and good.. and appreciated but..... When they finalized the on-site quote, it was $828!!! FAR different than I had been told. I told him never mind (although then wasn't sure what my next plan was!) and he was able to juggle the price with his supervisor.. still no where near what I had been quoted over the phone, but better than $828. The team was very professional and took great care hauling things from my basement.. All in all, I was satisfied with the work.. it was the drastic cost difference that tainted my view.

Our very large and very heavy cabinet/bookshelf was starting to come apart, so they could not move it, but the lead guy showed me how to disassemble it, so my friend and I were able to move it later. The movers were fast and efficient, the lead guy was mature and very helpful, and the others were cool and did a good job. The most important thing though was that one of our dressers, heavy stylish with a large mirror attached to the back, had one of its legs come off. Quick and Careful Moving repeatedly went above and beyond with their efforts to remedy the situation. They bought some wood glue, let it set, and then attempted to repair the wood part that was stripped by age, and being bumped during the moving. It would not re-attach, it was difficult with the age and style of the dresser. So they offered to return another day to try and fix it; similar issues though. They offered to hire/pay for a furniture repair service to solve the issue. They ended up taking off a portion of the moving fee to help pay for the dresser repair. Success! Not only that, but the owner was the one who actually helped to try and fix the dresser leg initially, and was very helpful throughout the process, and very understanding. I cannot say enough about that; very thankful. Movers may seem similar - one company to the next - for the most part, but the owner truly showed he cares about his company, the work, the performance, and the customer's true satisfaction.
