I bought & paid instantly for a piece of vintage electronics, and then, as I do with every purchase I make, I asked them to "please ship securely." I simply reminded them, very politely & professionally, about the FedEx shipping requirements they are already expected to follow. No special requests, beyond reminding them that popcorn or crushed paper is never appropriate when shipping heavy items, something every knowledgeable & responsible shipper knows. Both mediums settle or compress during shipment, making them useless for actual protection, and only suitable for fill when shipping lighter items. Did they reply assuring me they always ship responsibly, or perhaps explain how they make sure this is not an issue? Nope, THEY REFUSED?! Despite me assuring them I had years of experience shipping the vintage electronics I bought, they cancelled my order without once trying to contact me, or even question why? So in other words, when they found out I expected them to ship responsibly, they ran from it as fast as humanly possible! They then piled on buy fraudulently cancelled my order without any valid reason, and then when I complained, they tried to make me out to be the bad guy! So you have all the worst things you can find in a business, absolute disregard for secure shipping; complete lack of willingness to learn and expand their current, failing systems, and failure to accept responsibility for their own failures. In essence they already know it all and no one will tell them different; and instead of interacting professionally, they use deflection, projection and just plain juvenile excuses to justify their atrocious behavior! I warn all prospective customers of Crazy Louie, through any venue or platform, RUN AWAY, HEAD FOR THE HILLS, GO ANYWHERE ELSE! However, it's also used to raise prices. Harry disappointed me! It all started a couple of months ago, when I complained about being overcharged for setting one stone in a ring for my one daughter. I was in the jewelry business for many years and know the pricing. My example is simple, when I asked about a price for a rhodium job. The original price was $65.00 from the manager.Then I was told it would be $90.00. When I received a call the job was finished and went to pick it up, it was $95.00. Harry told me 2 days before that it would be $60 something because I was a regular customer. When I questioned it and told them about what Harry said, I find out that was only if I spent over $700.00 on my next repair. They will never see me again. I will save all my jewelry work for when I go back home to Pennsylvania! My recommendation to all who moved to this area, is shop around and get the price in writing!

One of three locations, Pitts Street is the middle-of-the-pack both age wise between their three…read moreplaces (Pitts, Uptown, and Town Center) and building wise. Pitts had a very interesting feel to it with high ceilings (open) but densely packed vendors (crowded). Unlike Uptown, Pitts Street felt like there were more antique items (since the vendors really packed stuff into their booths) as well as non-Antique stuff like crafts or resale items. Pricing was all over the place, I think again by virtue of how much merchandise they've packed at this location. My suggestion would be, take your time and assess quality versus price. There's certainly great finds at this location, so it's just a matter of finding that diamond in the rough. Note: I noticed the folks that threw in the 1-Star reviews due to their concerns about the history and background of merchandise being sold and/or the comments made by an employee. One thing I encourage potential buyers to consider is that these locations are used by dozens of vendors. If one were to boycott the entire building, there will be sellers that may well 100% agree with your viewpoint but still lose out of sale due to the presence of objectionable items from an unrelated vendors or comments made by a cashier. Boycott that particular seller if you want to make an impact with your wallet, but to carte blanche rule out the rest of the inventory, keeping in mind that there's only so many places these sellers can afford to rent out booths at, seems unproductive to the whole support small business mindset these kind of shops promote.
