This place... This place. I like this place. I took my…read moreparents here one weekend when I had decided that we had not yet done anything 'as a family' in a while. What do I mean? Well I come from a family that doesn't go camping or does many outdoorsy things besides walking or biking. So I decided, why not take everyone kayaking to see how it goes. The price for a the kayaking rental was affordable, but also they fit you and take care of you very well here. You're not really timed on the rental, its more of, "Hey let us know when you get to the pick up point and we will go pick you up." They are super friendly, and even launched my family and myself from the dock themselves. Of course, there is a safety video, life jackets, a map and kayaking accessories. But besides that, it was a great experience on the Mississippi. We brought food on the trip as well, so eating fried chicken on the Mississippi was great. I would go with Clear Waters Outfitting Co. again. The pick up was great, the driver was very sociable, and accommodating to our needs. Bottom line: Great place to rent from, and a great staff behind them.

There are multiple paths you can take so that both you and your hound get your romp on. If you are in the area, you already know this. If you're new to the area, you've got a great place.

We got there early and walked the path that does a nice loop through the woods! The dogs had so much fun with littermates and playing with other dogs! We will have to go back soon!

Overall it's a nice little campground near home. We stayed in a covered wagon and out was a very…read morehot weekend. The AC kept the place pretty cool but the fridge did not keep things cold. We even turned it down to the lowest setting but still didn't help. It was great they had a pool and splash pad but they didn't open until 10 and while the sign said closed at 8, the online policy you sign said it closed at dusk. We went just after 8 and were told it was closed. We pointed out the policy and was told they had to update the website. It was disappointing and not a great impression. The camping spaces are very close together and for the price to stay in the wagon ($175/night) you have to bring basically everything to cook and stay. Overall it's fine for a little getaway and we live close but I probably won't come back.

Dropped my AR15 off two weeks ago to get it cleaned and sighted in. Picked it up two hours later and it has scratches all over it, and on the scope. Called the store 3 times, talked to someone else each time. Nobody ever calls back. Manager doesn't call back, GM doesn't call back. They clearly do not stand behind their brand or business. If you buy an expensive gun, DO NOT bring it here to have any maintenance done on it. Take it to Cabella's where they're professional and actually address the situation to try to make it right
