(Although they are responsible for training her and keeping her happy so she does not talk to me like that maybe?) I bought my car from here. My friend has bought two cars from here. In my phone calls previously with them, I did not find they were friendly so I took my car elsewhere for service (still under warranty and all). I had issues with engine symbol coming up as well as car doing a scary thing on the road (not even 1 year after buying a brand new c200). My mechanic who onkly specialises in MB said it's classified as urgent so I should be able to take it straightaway. I'm an avid BMW driver so I always used to get my BMWs serviced at rushcutters bay - and they are extremely helpful and amazing people there. I used to take the car with no notice if something urgent came up on the dashboard with no problem. This lady at MB Alexandria was plain rude and hostile. I could not believe how she was talking to me and just that icy tone got me to finally confront her and I said -she should not talk over me if I'm trying to explain the situation -she had no sense of customer service. She was offended (but she was already offended when she picked up the phone anyway) but refused to put me thorugh to her manager. I informed her that if she gives me advice and something happens to me on the road because they won't take the car in straightaway then MB could possibly be negligent for what happens to me. As a lawyer and former investigator I was probably doing her a favour. The car was indeed not driving very well, like something was wrong, but it was probably something I could control. Anyway I didn't want to risk it and was SIMPLY ASKING IF IT WOULD BE OK TO DRIVE UNTIL 5 DAYS LATER WHEN THEY WOULD TAKE THE CAR IN FINALY!!! :( I didn't have a chance to even ask for an "expert" as she talked over me and hung up on me. I know it sounds whimperish but I did get quite upset after that hostile conversation and cried a bit. So MB vs BMW - I'd go back to BMW any day. But then I got onto Tynan in Sylvania and they were happy to take the car in the next day AFTER ASKING IF THE CAR WAS OK FOR ME TO DRIVE NOW. So yeh I'm dropping MB Alexandria. One employee can do that unfortunately.

I took my car to KMart Tyre Auto & Service for a rego check, only to be told that my car needed over $2000 worth of repairs - a figure far higher than what the car was worth. Devastated that my trusty old Corolla (which had never once broken down) may have to be farewelled, I took it to Nathan (after a friend's recommendation) for a second opinion. Nathan, having worked for KMart Tyre Auto & Service in the past, was well informed of their opportunist hi-jinx. After looking over KMart's recommendations and over the car itself, Nathan informed me that yes, the car was in dire need of some work - but only half of what KMart insisted and at a quarter of the price. When I first met Anthony I expressed the sentimental importance of my vehicle (it was passed down to me from my Nanni and Papa). Since then, he's gotten to know me and understands exactly what my expectations are, which he exceeds. He's been fair, honest and truly cares about his quality of work. He's performed brakes, trans flush, tune up, drive shaft carrier bearing, door handle replacement and he has even had to realign my driver door that was damaged in a wind storm. Ive been more than satisfied with every service. He has recommended a few maintenance things that I will need to address in the future, but has never been pushy about doing the services immediately, if he feels they can wait. It is such a relief to finally have a mechanic that is trustworthy and honest. If you're in need of a mechanic, Anthony is the man!

I contacted them on a sunday afternoon and the phone was answered promptly the hours of availability for contact were quite extensive. Not only that but when I cancelled the inspection at the last minute, they were completely fine with it and did not charge me anything. Despite the fact that I cannot comment on the quality of their service, they offered quite a comprehensive check(including RTA vehicle check), for $200 which seems like a very competitive price.

The waiting area/office has some magazines to read, a small couch and foxtel (although not working on this occasion - no signal). Workshop is clean and appears well maintained. As lazy people are wont to do, I drove it until it got too bad for me to ignore, then called around for a few quotes. Ultratune came in cheapest by around a hundred bucks, which wasn't half bad, so they won my bidnizz. They serviced my car the very same day I called them up, which was super convenient. He did mention that my brake pads were 80% worn and I could get these replaced for another $76 or so, and initially I said yes but then checked my last service receipt (from another shop) and I'd had my brakes inspected a couple months back, I wasn't sure I really needed these done so I declined. Picked the car up that arvo and she drives as good as new. Is still probably scared of me though. Maybe I should wash her more.
