The elevator always smells disinfected and the apartment is usually very clean. I lived on the top floor facing the freeway, and the noise cancelling isn't the best. However, it wasn't a deal breaker for me. I got a foot surgery and was disabled for a good 9 weeks. I lived here alone, and the kind team always offered a lot of help even when I was too shy to ask for it. The management is definitely a 5 star here. Peter in particular is so kind and such a gentleman always. I enjoyed the location since it is right next to the freeway, but you do hear the freeway (Give and take). The repairs were always done within a day and I really didn't have any major issues that made me feel uncomfortable. Give it a tour if you're looking for a nice apartment to stay in. Pre pandemic, the apartment would organize events for tenants to gather also which was really cool. I rented a one bedroom facing the freeway and I will really miss the view of the freeway.

The staff is stellar, and we were always happy to greet and be greeted by Peter, Maher and Josue. Whenever we needed something, the staff would respond immediately and provide the necessary service. The amenities are also great and always clean and well-maintained. Package delivery was well-oiled, and the staff was always handling deliveries to make sure people got their packages. Pre-Covid the leasing staff put together frequent social events that helped tenants meet each other. We enjoyed wine classes, yoga sessions, Super Bowl, happy hours, etc. We were able to make friends with some of our neighbors which was a huge plus.

From the beginning, Karen and…read morestaff have been extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating, making the move-in process smooth and stress-free. When we arrived, the apartment was exceptionally clean and well-prepared. It was equipped with the essential amenities needed for comfortable daily living. Having an in-unit washer and dryer is a wonderful bonus and adds great convenience. We also appreciate how safe, quiet, and peaceful the community feels. The property is well-maintained, and it is clear that management takes pride in keeping the apartment and surrounding areas in excellent condition. Overall, our experience has been very positive, and we are grateful to have found such a comfortable and welcoming place to call home. We would gladly recommend this apartment community to others.

I lived in this apartment for 10 years, so I know all the pros and cons…read more Pros: - Close to BART station - Some updated appliances - Some friendly staff, maintenance staff and hard working cleaning staff On premises Amazon locker inside the garage gates Cons: - BART trains are loud at night - Fire alarms go off often and fire trucks come even in the middle of the night - Trash bins are always full and overflowing. Residents tend to not throw away their garbage properly and leave it sitting inside the room with the garbage chutes. - Cigarette smoke smell comes into the apartment from somewhere with residents smoke -Takes a long time for hot water to come out - Elevators break down often, and it can take a long time to get them fixed. - Parking fee is extra (2 car tandem is about $150) - Other than gas and electric, have to pay most utilities shared (in the neighborhood of $150 so it depends on your neighbors' usage more than your own) - The last couple years the rent increases have been at the maximum allowed by the county - Get a lot of pigeons that end up on the balcony and poop there - A lot of ants, flies and roaches without any obvious pest control We finally moved out because rent increased to the point where it didn't make any sense to stay compared to buying a house, which we were finally able to do recently. Toward the end, the laundry machine's pipe apparently clogged up. It sounded like they wanted to open up the wall to get access to it, but since we were so close to moving out we used our new house's washer to do our clothes. This kind of problem happened once before also the apartment above us. The laundry machine flooded and we had to run the dehumidifier for 3 days. Things like window screens, blinds, etc. seemed to break or fall out fairly easily. That being said, because those aren't major issues, we didn't want to bother the maintenance staff to fix. They charged us for that when we moved out, even though they probably would have replaced it for free if we had reported it while we lived there. Above all else, they charged us for pest removal for a dishwasher we never used that was installed 11 months ago after they completed a renovation that we accommodated, and effectively forced us to do, threatening higher rent if we didn't allow it. During that they completely opened up the wall and the counter between the kitchen and living room, which feels like where they may have come from. There were also ants a lot and flies as well. When we gave notice that we were moving out, we were asked to choose a time for a pre move out walkthrough, which we requested a Tuesday about two weeks out, thinking that it might be easier to figure out what we would need to remedy once some of our stuff moved out. They basically wanted to do it about 5 days after we gave notice, the Tuesday before we wanted. We had very little moved out, and they seemed to concentrate on the carpet and a few other incidental things. We went to the office to talk to them about it, but they didn't want to change the date of the pre move out inspection. Since we left, we've tried contacting the office, "Equity Residential", where it seems to ring and the last two times we called, disconnected after ringing a couple times. We've also tried contacting one of their prior resident relations offices, left a voicemail with no call back. Also we emailed the office person "Amber" but she e-mailed us back saying she couldn't open the e-mail and just mentioning the balance we owe. It seems like it's easier to ignore us, because trying to withhold payment will do way more damage to us than any argument that we could make. It's been hard to get a hold of a person to talk one on one with, which feels irresponsible. We lived there for ten years, and would hope we could get a little more respect and consideration than that, rather than being just another transaction for them.

These apartments are located right across from Westmoor High. There is a really bad rats infestation that they are taking forever to address. There are all kinds of insects sneaking into apartments including flies, spiders, and so much more. If you call for maintenance with issues they will take days to show up. We used to pay a handyman out of our own pocket to fix issues like water leaks, non working appliances, drain issues, etc. The hallways smell really bad, their laundry rooms are disgustingly dirty, and there are multiple issues with their roofs. Most tenants are complaining of water leaks coming from their roofs. On top of that they decided to charge for outside parking which was always free. Do not even consider living here. We can't wait for our contract to expire next month to move out.

Greg and the maintenance team are an asset to the property.

I understand there is the one reserved parking spot and the permit you can get, but there is still not enough parking spaces to fit everyone, and also we are threatened of being towed if we don't move our car with a parking permit every three days?? This was how it was over a year ago, hopefully they changed it by then or the leasing consultant just told me incorrect information. If we missed unintentionally miss a payment, we are locked out of the portal to be able to pay it. Then we cannot pay it in person neither, however we're being demanded to pay the rent but it is made to be very difficult. Overall our experience here has been pleasant. We enjoy the quiet and the privacy offered here, however the rent goes up every year it seems making it not worth it. We want to move somewhere more affordable, with nicer weather and get a change of scenery. If I were to list the cons, parking here is bad, the handling of missed payments is horrible, the washer and dryers are bad and do not work half the time. Be careful when you move out because they'll try to say you owe a lot of money for damages or renovations. The location was nice for privacy and being close to things.

I initially inquired about this apartment because the advertised rent appeared affordable…read more Unfortunately, after learning more about the additional fees and experiencing the leasing process firsthand, I was extremely disappointed. First, the parking situation is unreasonable. Charging $250 per month for parking is excessive, and on top of that, residents are expected to pay an additional annual fee for a parking permit without any guarantee of having a parking space available every day. Paying for parking without guaranteed access simply does not make sense and adds significant hidden costs to what appears to be an affordable apartment. My experience with the leasing office was equally frustrating. I scheduled an apartment tour earlier in the week and received multiple text reminders confirming my appointment for June 6 at 2:00 PM. However, when we arrived at the leasing office, we were informed that there was no apartment available to show us. When I pointed out that I had just received a text reminder confirming the appointment, the staff member blamed the issue on having no internet connection that day and stated that their phone system operates through the internet. This explanation did not seem reasonable given the multiple confirmations that had been sent. Instead of providing the tour we had scheduled, we were simply offered pricing information for one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. While we agreed to review the pricing, that conversation revealed just how many additional fees are attached to living here. The overall experience left me with the impression that attracting applicants is a higher priority than providing transparency and value to prospective residents. Between the excessive parking costs, questionable parking policies, and the mishandled tour appointment, this community is not a place I would recommend to friends or family.

They refused to give them to us, even though they are addressed to us and obviously misdelivered. Then they say "oh we don't have them" despite photographed evidence. Next is "oh we can't find them". They claimed to have sent them back, although we went to them the very next morning. Asking how did they send them back, they stated with a driver. This being with me going to when their package room opened for business hours, and no delivery came yet, and the delivery in question happened the night before right as they were closing. So did Santa come and get them overnight? Especially when I see several boxes marked RTS right there? Obviously very shady management and company. Not good people at all. Not even good neighbors. Probably keeping packages for themselves.
