I don't know how this office has such a low rating. There is rarely a wait to see a doctor. If there is it's written on a huge board so you're well aware as soon as you get there. Note..in all the years I've been going I've never had to wait. The lab gets crowded. Don't go there without an appointment. The staff is amazing trying to get through everyone, if you don't have an appt you will keep getting bumped back by people that do. Lots of free parking too. read more

Since I'm going to die because Dr Dougherty was inept in understanding the prostate and PSA I'm have stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. He watched my PSA climb every year in my early to mid 40's. You should have a PSA in your 40's and increasing every year , even doubling twice. Yet this moron didn't refer me to a urologist till it was almost 5. When I first seen him in 2017 I didn't have a PSA. If he was a good doctor he would have recognized a problem sooner before metastasis. He's a horrible doctor and I hope he meets the same fate as me. I see many of the staff here and have always had good experiences. I never feel like I am being rushed through my appointment. They let me explain my issues and concerns and always listen. They hear my concerns and have always provided the best care and concern. I feel heard and helped. They use a textbook "let's match patients' problem to a solution" approach. These doctors don't go out of their way to actually SOLVE a problem, even though they're supposed to be the best. They might have been the best academically, but that actually means that they think "in" the box, instead of outside of it. I my experience, these doctors have been nice people, which is great, but also ineffective for me personally. We deserve doctors who are willing to really grapple with a problem, even if it presents differently than exactly how the "textbook" says it presents. Textbooks need updating-- a lot of the knowledge that drs rely on is old!! And it doesn't account for every possible way in which something can look -- simply because the drs who wrote the textbooks hadn't traveled the entire world and they didn't know absolutely everything. read more

My Aunt is a long time patient. She called me Friday Feb 1 EXTREMELY upset. She called the office at 7777 township line road the Penn bucks county family practice and a women named STAS or STARR ? was so rude argumentative abusive and hung up on her. My Aunt had to call back and she spoke to a lovely women who took care of her urgent issue immediately. She was soft spoken, efficient, caring. I would like to speak to the director on my complaint. The Providers there are exceptional and need to be aware. I don't want to talk to some staff there hiring such. I want to bring my complaint higher. Why is this person employed by Penn ? This location of Penn Medicine on Township Line Road in Lower Makefield, PA, is close to home, so when I needed a follow up X-ray this was the place to go. There are many Penn doctor offices there, but I was only interested in the Department of Radiology on the first floor. Turned out that this office was very well run. I made the appointment online through mypennmed.com for the same afternoon. On arrival I signed in and was seen by the intake person within five minutes. After showing my photo ID and insurance card, I went to the waiting room until I was called for the x-ray. In less then ten minutes the technician walked into the waiting area, called my name, greeted me, escorted me to the changing area and handed me a gown needed for the picture. Once done, we went to the radiology room and took the shot. I was dressed and out the door from beginning to end in no more than 25 minutes. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, accommodating and totally professional. I love going to Philly for best medicine at Penn, but getting an x-ray at one of their satellites make so much sense, especially with the digital images going directly to my doctor for his review. Nursing is outstanding. You push the button, an intercom says "what can I do for you? You say "may I have my pain meds" usually within 5 minutes, you got em." It's magic. Plus my dr, Dr Wen Chao is one of the best foot and ankle orthopedist surgeons in the country. She's also nice. I'm happy with my choice and the outcome. read more

I was humiliated and mistreated by Dr. Landy. She broke patient confidentiality by saying to me angrily while we were leaving the exam room, in the hallway, where everyone could see and hear "Now we're going to have to pull everything out of this room and have it sterilized!" I was so embarrassed that I did not check out and went down the stairs rather than walk through the lobby to the elevator. This woman acted like a 13 year old child the entire visit. I have never seen such immaturity and lack of professionalism. If it weren't for my regular Physician, Dr. Huang, who is a gem, I would never return. I initially thought I was going to be in good hands being connected w Penn Medicine through Penn Family Medicine. Had a great experience w Dr. Schorr in Endocrinology. He is an excellent doctor. Unfortunately it has been a very frustrating experience w Penn Family Medicine. I will NEVER put my health in their control again. They give you the runaround. Dr. Lee and Nicole Caby. A total waste of my time and a disgrace to the Penn Medicine community. I have been very sick and they refuse to do lab work to help me see a specialist. Because they say they are not the specialist, but interestingly, the specialists won't see you without more bloodwork to help determine who you should see. It's a disgrace and a complete disservice to the patient. I bet they wouldn't hesitate to go the extra mile for their loved ones, but obviously their patients don't matter enough. Run as quick and far as you possibly can. I started coming here years ago, I was very loyal and loved their practice. I will NEVER go back again. I mean just look at other reviews of what's become of this place. Their new doctors-clueless. Dr. Wilson was great as was Dr. Sullivan, both gone. Their receptionists used to be great wonderful people, now they're, as you can tell from every other review, the most miserable people on the planet. This is a consistently great facility to get medical care at. The building is new and comfortable and they have plenty of parking close to the entrance. The doctors are all great here, and if the appointment is made on short notice and you can't see one of the doctor's, the RN's are great too. I'm so glad I found this branch of Penn Medicine. This place is OK. Positives: They have late hours as well as Saturday hours, so getting an appointment without having to take time off work is usually doable. Most of the staff there are very nice and helpful. They have a lab and radiology downstairs. Good location. I like their online portal where I can see my labs, exams, prescriptions, medical record etc. Negatives: It is difficult to make an appointment. You're typically on hold for quite some time. The online scheduling has never worked for me. They only do two physical appointments a day (I believe per practitioner) so if you make an appointment you'll probably be seen a month or so later. The biggest issue I've had is that I've never seen the same doctor or nurse practitioner for more than a 2 year time frame. They all seem to leave within one-two years. Very high turnover rate, which is concerning. Only one or two physicians have been there awhile, but they do not accept new patients. I'm on my fourth practitioner since going there. I just recently had a physical with one of their new NP's. She was very nice, although I was disappointed in the very short exam. I've had more thorough physicals with other practitioners there. read more

Have been going here for Primary Care, Endocrinologist and Rheumatologist since mid 2010. At that time, was a great facility, easy to get appointments, have Radiology and Blood Labs all at one location. Was quite happy with the care I got here. For a while. About three years ago, my terrific Rheumatologist, Dr. Gandhi left, then 18 months ago my Endocrinologist left. The facility now has no one in these specialties here, they were never replaced!? Instead the facility now has Bariatric and Neuro surgeons on staff, specialties that are much less needed. The facility needs a Rheumatologist and an Endocrinologist on staff, not on site one or two days a week, and as I mentioned, they now have neither. Penn Medicine billing is a nightmare, they insist that TriCare is a second commercial insurance and refuse to bill, and now have decided that my Humana Medicare Supplement insurance is no good as well. Apparently, unless you're a high roller with primo insurance, you're too much bother. Had to file multiple complaints with TriCare to get Penn Medicine to honor my TriCare coverage a few years back. Apparently the TriCare folks put the billing in line, but I now refuse to come here for any Labs whatsoever, Blood or Radiology. As other reviewers have observed, scheduling appointments is now quite difficult, nearly impossible except through the website. The phone never answers or you have to wait 60-90 minutes on hold. Obviously this is unacceptable. It's like they let go 80% of their staff. This does not bode well for the future of the facility. Am only seeing my Primary care doctor here now, but she is booked weeks in advance, since she is one of the few good primary care doctors remaining here. Am now forced to go to the Urgent Care facility a few blocks away for sick visits. Avoid this facility like the plague. I expect it to fold sometime in the next year or so anyway. read more

I've had multiple bad experiences here. One doctor actually treated me like I was a horrible person because I came in for an STD. A very common one too. He still prescribed me medication but was very short with me and rude. This man shouldn't even be a doctor. He let his religious beliefs impact how he does his job. Some people are nice there but as a whole I can't stand this place. I request an appointment and no one got back to me until 2 days later. I had already gone to an urgent care. I had been a patient at the original Yardley Practice, Dr. Eberhardt. When Dr. Eberhardt retired I transitioned to Dr. Dougherty who is the consummate professional. When the group became part of Penn Medicine patient service declined precipitously. I continued to be treated because of Dr. Dougherty. I recently experienced a medical emergency and following my release from hospital care I contacted Penn Medicine to schedule a physical examination and to seek Dr. Dougherty's guidance on several specialists. I was told by a very rude, inconsiderate, condescending women on the phone that because I had not seen the doctor in three (3) years I was no longer considered a patient. This was shocking in itself and the way it was explained was even more shocking. The women on the phone suggested it is Penn Medicine's policy to drop patients who have not visited in three (3) years. It appears their position is if you're healthy, you'll be dropped from their roles. Have they resorted to a "subscription model"...pay annually by showing up or we'll penalize you. Is this not the healthcare business? Dr. Dougherty knows my history and I am generally very healthy. I now need to find a new family physician. This is shameful. read more

I beg you not to go to this cardiology group. Dr Janet Zhang has no idea what she is doing. I was told I had 3 major issues with my heart and it turned out to be nothing. Dr. Malik is one of the best doctors that I've ever had (not limited to best specialists)! The entire staff has repeatedly been incredibly accomodating to me (despite being a new patient, they were able to move up my appointment to be seen withing a few weeks!). Also, it's refreshing that their front desk staff actually treat you with respect and EMPATHY! Overall, the staff are top-notch and the Doctors are, too! After my first appointment, I was able to schedule an ultrasound for the very next day and a stress-test and echo for the following week! Oh, and did I mention that I received a call about my ultrasound results within 24 hours of having it done and the nurse that called me on Dr. Malik's behalf was extremely pleasant to speak with. How about that? A medical-based phone call actually putting me in a good mood simply because of how wonderful the person making the call was! It was also an incredible feeling to get my results without even having to call them the next week wondering if the doctor looked at the report yet (which is actually the more common situation with any Doctor's office)! Overall i give them an A+++ for the staff's overall demeanor/professionalism, positive attitudes, obvious capacity for empathy and respect, and even more so for their extreme competency! read more

This was the worst choice for a pregnancy ultrasound and I'm glad I only used them once. Between the unenthused ultrasound technologist, and the horrendous billing errors (I continued to receive incorrect bills and collections phone calls at home for over a year), I would never return here or recommend this facility. AWFUL Online appointments are terrible. Hold on phone until your phone goes dead. My primary will vacation for a week and no one will cover for her. Getting medicine that is needed is like pulling teeth - if you get it at all, on time, or without major hassles. My doctor is new and took over for a former one. My 20 y/o son had an appointment for a physical with Dr. Sullivan today. He said his vitals were taken and the Doctor asked some questions but NO physical exam was done. Dr. Told him that since his vaccination records were not released he would have to come back and see the nurse for any vaccinations that are needed, but no mention of coming back for an exam. Dr. Sullivan did not do a head and neck exam, did not palpate his abdomen and did not do anything else. This is not what I would consider a full exam and was surprised when they wanted to bill the insurance company for such. I'm really disappointed. Will not go back. read more

I went to Penns radiology for an ultrasound. My first ultrasound ever. They instructed me on the phone that I had to drink 32 oz of water before coming in. When I got there I thought I was going to burst. I asked if they could just give me the cup to go (assuming that they wanted me to pee in a cup) wrong. They never explained to me I had to have a full bladder for the ultra sound. They said I could pee a little but not to empty my full bladder. I went but not all the way and I sat outside the office crying so bad because I needed to pee. A woman came out and very harshly asked if i empty your whole bladder. I told her no (but obviously that is why I was crying from being in pain and almost humiliated because I thought I might pee my pants). She went back inside. They made us wait another 15 minutes- during this time I took matters into my own hands and peed another 3 times. When I went in for the ultra sound the tech barely spoke to me and when she did she was rude. She finally said she had to do a transvaginal ultra sound and that I had to completely empty my bladder..... afterward I was sitting on the table and told her again about 10 minutes later that I had to pee very badly and again there was no sympathy or even comfort coming from this woman. She printed out 2 pictures of us, both horrible and I know there were better ones because I saw literally every picture she took. I called them back as soon as I left to figure out how far along I was, the girl on the phone was rude until I yelled at her saying this had been the worst experience I've ever had at a doctor's office and I wanted a number to call and complain. She then put me on hold without knowing my name or the tech who did my ultra sound, came back on and said I was 7 weeks pregnant, meanwhile my doctor told us I was 7 weeks pregnant 2 weeks ago. She refused to give me a number to complain as well. I will NEVER go back there. They have no idea how to treat their patients let alone a pregnant woman. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! read more

I received very unfriendly and rude treatment by someone in Penn Yardley Cardiology. Since I was a prior patient at that office in 2014 with Dr Zhang, I asked to speak with the doctor for clarification of a test I needed. Woman said NO! I asked for woman's name and she refused and hung up on me. I think the actual stress test in this office is contact with this receptionist who managed to raise my blood pressure substantially. My husband and I scheduled physical appointments at Penn Medicine in Yardley to establish ourselves as patients. We were satisfied with the service and the convenience of having blood work done at the same location. However, since then, the service has been terrible. We have each called for a sick appointment at separate times and been told that there were no appointments available for at least two days! We ended up having to use a phone in referral service we have through our employer for service which is ridiculous when we have a supposed primary care doctor right down the street. After couple days (when I thought they have just ignored it), someone called me back, verified all the information I have entered online and transferred me to exactly the same phone service I didn't have time to deal with in the first place!! Long time patient, but consistent decline in medical care over last 18 months has left our family looking for another provider. This is a poor excuse for a Level 3 PCMH - I'd suggest the AHRQ conduct an audit before approving their renewal. A family member with MDD called while obviously in crisis due to change in medications (medication management - no follow up over two months), was advised that next appointment not available for over 48 hours (provide same day sick appointments), and to suck it up or go to emergency room (reduce ER utilization costs). This patient is not a frequent flyer, not a pain management patient, and has been stable on meds for 10 years. read more
