Been coming to Pennant Coffee for a while. Even before this location. The coffee has always been top notch and they have always had good pastries and treats. I do miss their mini cookies though! They were my favorite at their old location. Everyone who works here is friendly and they make time to remember a face or your usual. It's a great place to hang out inside or outside. It is not super loud and there's tons of space to find the perfect spot to catch up with friends or work on homework. If you're not a coffee fan. They have great matcha drinks and tea! Staff are warm and welcoming - and make excellent lattes! The seasonal menu has interesting flavors and I appreciated their approach towards melding flavors. I was there in the morning, but the bar did appear to be well stocked. The space is light and welcoming, and it's clear that they have many return customers. read more

We've been here twice and both times I've been super impressed with this cafe. First the food. The goat cheese with tomatoes on sourdough is delicious. So is their blueberry muffin. If you like spicy go for their spicy egg sando. Everything is delicious. For drinks, we got the oatmeal pie latte and blueberry latte with matcha cream. Both were delicious. Get the matcha one with oatmilk to bring some color to your day. The people at the counter were great. There was plenty of seating even though there were a lot of people. We went to the back room and it felt like a private space. Highly recommend coming here. read more

We had no destinations for our journey around Wichita today. We honestly didn't even know this gem was in the area when we walked by, but it looked so inviting we just had to go in. I (not as adventurous) tried the hot choccy and she (much more adventurous) tried the Pink Pony Club. My was delicious as expected, but hers was probably the most unique coffee shop drink we've ever tried. It was most definitely light, bright, and sapphic. *I don't know what sapphic is. I'm so glad we made a point to stop here during a recent trip to Wichita! First of all, what an innovative space! Shipping containers-turned boutique business plaza? I love that. From the moment we arrived, the cooperative efforts of the businesses who call this space "home" was clear. We came on a Sunday morning when the only thing open was Pennant. During that time, the bar next door was available as indoor seating for Pennant (that is, if you didn't want to take full advantage of the gorgeous patio/bonfire space in the courtyard or one of the 'balcony' style patios). The coffee itself is excellent - we tried a cafe cofe, a specialty drip and a cortado. All delicious! In particular, we were blown away by the breakfast sandwiches though! I highly recommend pairing one with your morning caffeine fix! We loved every minute here - the barista was super friendly and eager to get recommendations, the space was incredible, the breakfast was quite a hit, and the coffee was exactly what you would hope for. read more

What a way to ruin a morning!! The parents of the bride ordered coffees and pastries to start our morning and the fake hipster moustached (so shocked I didn't get his name) manager (I am guessing) asked us to wait next door because it was their busy day. We were in a small room separate from the main area. It wasn't even full. We hadn't even finished our coffee. I asked him if our hosts hadn't spent enough money? He didn't respond. I am not sure if it was ageism or just plain rudeness. Maybe we weren't cool enough. But, I was embarrassed for our hosts and I honestly shocked at the rudeness. If this employee represents the tone for this business, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Seems to be a theme with other reviews. Needless to say, we dumped our order!! read more

Yet another visit to one of my favorite local coffee spots. This time I went for a simple Carmel oat milk latte and grabbed a mochi matcha cake. The dessert was subtle, not overly sweet, somewhat dense but not dry. On this particular visit I discovered they make a few of their syrups in house! As always will come again! read more

We decided to go to Pennant Coffee to try it out! We were very disappointed first off we were not greeted nicely or friendly. The girl who took our order seemed annoyed and was on her phone as I was waiting to get my change back. Not sure if she had a late night out but it was 8 am but needless to say you shouldn't treat your clientele that way. We got two matchas and they were not good. We got honey in them as well which you would think would have been a great choice however you couldn't even taste it. I would hate to know what it would have been like if i wouldn't have gotten honey. It tasted almost watered down. Just really disappointed! read more

I got a cappuccino, & it was delicious! This is a walk-up coffee shop with seating outside. The mini cookies were tasty too! (I prefer the snickerdoodles.) The people were very friendly and offered to bring us a glass carafe with some glasses for water. I look forward to visiting this cute coffee shop when I'm in Wichita next time! read more

This flash brew "coffee" that I drank had to be some of the most utterly disgusting garbage I have ever tasted. Don't even get me started on the food, that shit was unfit for human consumption. They tried to go for the simple "artsy" style with the food but it was just disgusting. I had the nasty ass "breakfast sando" with the beansprouts it was disgusting. One more thing that I disliked heavily was the names on the menu. For example, "hot choccy" "breakfast sando" what the fuck? Are you fucking 12? That had to be some of the cringiest shit I've seen in a while. In addition, the service was horrible and the barista was rude and slow. An awful way to end my awful trip in this awful city. read more
