Previously I was not able to order paint online and pay. However, this time I checked and the website indicated I could select the type of paint and color, pay online and I would be emailed when product was ready for pickup...which I did. I received an email shortly after placing the order. That email read "YOUR ORDER IS READY FOR PICKUP". Now, I know what that means but it appears Thornridge Ace does not. I drove to the store -- and by the way -- I chose this store because it is much closer to my home than other stores. In the past, I would order online from Ricciardi Brothers in Fairless Hills, because I can order & pay online and then just go in and my paint is ready TO BE PICKED UP. Anyway, I arrive at Thornridge and show the gentleman behind the checkout counter the email with my name and order number, which clearly indicates my order is ready to be picked up. He snarls that it is not ready -- and then goes to the paint center, spends three or four minutes trying to look up the order and then a young man says he has the order. To my surprise, instead of handing me the mixed quart of paint, the young man goes back to another area of the store, comes back with a quart of paint and then has to put the paint into the color distributor -- then put the can in the 'mixer'. At this point I have been in the store for over 12 minutes. I say to the older gentleman that I was surprised the paint wasn't ready and he snaps "well, what if you didn't come to get it" and walks away. WHAT? WHAT?? WHAT?????? The paint HAS BEEN PAID FOR -- YOU SOLD THE CAN OF PAINT. Who cares if I don't come in -- are you kidding me? So, after the young man mixes my paint and hands it to me I politely say to him all of the above. I was very nice about it, but said this situation was so badly handled that I could have driven back and forth to Ricciardi's three times for the amount of time it took me in Thornridge. He also said "well, if people don't come to pick up their paint, then we're stuck with it". I said - "BUT IT'S PAID FOR -- YOU MADE THE SALE!!!!!! Oh, and by the way, if people don't come and pick up their custom mixed cans of paint -- you can call Restore to give them a donation of paint and they will send someone over to pick up the paid for paint so they can offer it to their customers". I will never ever go back to Thornridge. They seem to have completely forgotten that they are a local retailer -- and in today's marketplace, the little retailers are struggling against all the big box stores (whose customer service is far superior!!!). Customers are your lifeline. It's a shame this is no longer important to you. And one more thing -- I will be posting this review on Google & Yelp -- where there are many other negative reviews about unfortunate and completely unacceptable interactions with the owner(s) of this store. Do NOT Rent a truck from them, they will charge you for tolls you from locations you didn't go to…read more They have now charged me for tolls from a location that would have required the box truck to go 145 mph to reach in the time the toll was charged, the store tells you to go to corporate and they tell you to go to the store. I was charged a delivery fee of $59.00, which I had no option. I was not allowed to pick the item up from the store to avoid this fee. The item was delivered as promised. When the item was opened to be insalled it was discovered to be damaged. Policy by Home Depot, must be returned within 48 hours. I spent $410.22 for a Samsung Microwave I cannot use this item!! I am basically being told, hey you purchase, we take your hard earned money and if anything goes wrong, work it out for yourself!! Your time and money are not of value. You as a customer, are not of value. I am writing this review as I am being put on long extended holds and several transfers. I have been on the phone for a hour and still running. I go there with a list of 5 things shown in the flyer. They only had one item in the store. Needing 10 gals of one specific item for a Sat. Project I called 2 other "True Value" stores. "We don't stock sale items, we're an independent store". I guess that "True Value"sign out front is a mistake. Just doesn't make much sense to me. If you're not a T.V. store, remove the sign on your wall. I guess Ace really is the place.

I had a window issue in my new home that I couldn't find anyone to help with. I contacted multiple contractors and different companies and it was clear my business was never important - I'd get ghosted for appointments, took months to get quotes, and more. I finally found Smart Shield and was contacted almost immediately after requesting a callback. The owner, Bryan, was so incredibly kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. He helped customize a plan for our home based on what would remedy our current situation and prevent future issues. The process to get started was easy (and very digital which earns extra bonus points in my book) and it was a few weeks until installation. The installation went great and I've never had an issue with the windows. It went so well, that we had Smart Shield come back and put in new doors for us, more window replacements, and replace our siding. While that was a bigger job, the process was just as wonderful. The windows and door all look great and are a huge improvement over what was there previously. Robert was incredibly helpful with figuring out what I needed and answering tons of questions for me (as I evaluated ten companies and rated them all to determine who was the best one for the job). Smart Shield came out on top and did a great job! The installation guys were all incredibly nice and polite, especially Steve and Jimmy who came back on Saturday to finish after storms on Friday kept them from completing the job that day. I am incredibly happy with my new windows which are all clear and open and shut so easily that I have to remind myself not to push them too hard. My neighbors were so impressed with the job they did (and my spreadsheet evaluation) that they hired Smart Shield to do their windows as well. I highly recommend these guys!
