QAS still charged me $700+ and actually erased one of the computers programing yet still only cost $400 at the dealer to fix the whole deal. I will always choose an independent shop on older cars as the dealers are not my cup of tea, but I also expect them to know when they are just wasting time and money and that's exactly what QAS did. to be good you have to know when you are out of your ability and they were way out of their ability on this one.

My 1998 Jeep needs the old coolant--the "green stuff"--because the metals used in the engine construction do not interact well with the new, universal coolants. I totally forgot to mention this to Denny when I dropped off the Jeep, but when I called him mid-repair to mention it, he responded, "Yep. We've run into that before, and we were aware of it. We're using the older formula coolant for this engine." He didn't try to upsell me a number of unnecessary services, and he was happy to talk to me about the two things his mechanic had noticed without pushing me to order additional work. Well after I get it back the first time my tie rods start eating away at the metal rim, the upper control arms weren't adjusted at all so the bottom of the tires sat inward and I had shaking. Well I bring it in for my free alignment and was told I was full of shit because it was only when they touched my truck that the tie rods starting destroying the rims of my truck and that only now did they see that I out my tie rods on backwards but some how missed that when having it for 2 days. And as soon as I brought up an issue they got defensive like I was the person in the wrong but I was treated horribly after spending over 1200 dollars with them. I know vehicles and I know mechanics but you don't catch a supposed issue for 2 days but then catch it after a quick glimpse of my tie rods again after I called them out so that makes me full of shit
