Hi @Melissa penny lanes business director, Since I can't reply back to your comment on my review I'll just write it here. Nothing, I wrote is inaccurate information. I totally understand that these reviews are very important for penny lanes business. This is why I took the time to write out the review. For parents seeking child care for their children and wanting to make the best decision. Actually, some of the things that you stated in your reply was very inaccurate such as my reason to leave the daycare. We left due to having so many incidents occur and the lack of incidents reports being made and also lack of accountability. Most of the time my daughter was sent home from daycare with cuts and bruises. Teachers were unable to explain what happened due to them "not being around" or "leaving early for the day" so she was left in the care of substitute teacher and no one in the daycare could find whichever "substitute teacher "was in the class in at the time to explain the constant injuries. Also, on August 11th I was called into penny lanes due to my child having a busted lip and chipped tooth. I expressed my concerns to the director of the daycare Ms.Laura she responded back to me and let me know if I wanted my child to not have so many incidents I needed a nanny. Which I was completely token back by. I understand things happen in a daycare but as a director for that to be the response back to a concern parent is very insensitive. Also, to double back to the abrupt departure. Laura allow us to leave without putting in the 2 week notice due to not us moving but me being so uncomfortable with my child being enrolled under you guys care second longer. Her last day was that Thursday morning November 6th due to another unreported incident. My daughter was enrolled in for a year. I have never once received a weekly paper meal plan in advance. My child was there 5 days a week and 8-8.5 hrs a day. So I understand that health and safety is the utmost importance but it's seems like the ball was dropped multiple times with my child. Also, is always a lack of accountability. This is not the blame game. If I'm paying for a good quality daycare I expect the best quality health and safety for my child. Penny Lane school in Oak Lawn exceeds every expectation we had as parents. From the moment we walked through those red doors, the environment is warm, clean and thoughtfully designed to make children feel safe, engaged and genuinely happy. What I love most about this place is their staff, their level of care, patience, and attentiveness goes far beyond what we could have hoped for. Its rare to find a place that combines such high standards with genuine heart, but Penny lane (Oak Lawn) does exactly that. We are incredibly fortunate to have found them and would recommend them wholeheartedly to any parent looking for exceptional care. I have nothing but good things to say about Penny Lane. My daughter began Penny Lane when she eight months old, and had a great time well she attended. Pros: -Extremely welcoming atmosphere. All staff will learn your child's name and the second you walk in the door they greet them. -They use ProCare app which allows you to get notifications regarding your child (diaper changes, nap time, pictures, updates) -Laura (Director) is amazing! I have called a few times to inquire about something. She would call me back almost immediately and address anything I was asking. -The staff cares about your children. If you make a request they will do their best to fulfill it. -For security purposes you fingerprint your child in and out. -They work with your child to help them develop skills. My daughter only attended for a short period of time(due to personal health issues) but I could see a difference in her social skills since attending. Cons: -Depending on when you pickup your child parking is some times an issue. If you are questioning where to send your child I would HIGHLY recommend Penny Lane. Upon completion of the school tour I was excited for my little guy to attend this school. However, after enrolling him we only lasted two months. The school is super cute with good communication between staff and parents. It is clean and there are lots of activities for children to participate. However, after my mild mannered 2 year old was severely scratched in the face by another student twice and the management behaved and communicated with me as if I was crazy for being upset about the state of my child's face we decided to go elsewhere. Mind you it is now March, this occurred in October and you can still see the scar which runs from his eye to his chin! Poor customer service particularly to cash paying parents. Poor resolution skills on part of the management. Update: Thank you Melissa for your response however when you state "It sounds like you were very pleased with our center and we were sorry to hear of your departure." This statement is untrue. When I discussed my disappointment and frustration with the situation as this was the second incident that occurred in less than 1 month I was told VERBATIM "Maybe this is not the place for your son". If you saw his face for yourself you know that I am being generous when I call it a 'scratch' even his pediatrician, Dr. Raynor, was taken aback when he saw his face. My Son who is 4 is wrapping up his first year at Penny Lane school. This was his first class and we felt very safe leaving him with them. They were always available when we wanted to check up on him the first few days. The facility is clean and the atmosphere is eccletic. Very cool looking place. The teachers are very hands on. Ive seen first hand how the teachers interact with the students participating in field trips and other events. They really do care about the children. My son hugs his teachers in the morning and when he leaves. My son was having trouble putting words together and now he is speaking fluently. My 2 children attend this school and we couldn't be happier. Front office staff is so welcoming and the teachers work hard with the children. I have seen my daughter grow so much over her time there. I've dreamt of my son going to Penny Lane since I was pregnant because I have family that attended their Chicago Ridge location and it always felt like a warm environment and academically, students would strive. After over 1 year, I have decided to transfer my son into a different daycare. This decision was very difficult because my son has made lots of friends and he loves the staff. However, my husband and I are no longer able to take the anxiety and stress of his health and wellness. If it were up to my husband, we would have been gone months ago; I repeatedly convinced him that "this is supposed to be the BEST daycare in the area". I've finally decided THE NAME is not what it use to be. The first month or so, we had a wonderful experience with only minor issues, however, it changed quickly and escalated to the point that we met with the director, Laura. After that meeting, it seemed like our issues were valued but we didn't like the overall feeling of the meeting and how the staff were treated when confronted with our issues. So, I refused to bring issues to the director after that, I only brought issues to the assistant directors. Pros: The overall appearance of the building is beautiful and well maintained. I love the playground and it is divided for age appropriate activities, and when there is inclement weather they play in the gym. The calendar is ideal for working parents, open 6AM-6PM & only close for major holidays. They fund raise all the time and therefore can bring outside organizations/entertainers to come to the school for the children's entertainment and enrichment, Diane at the front desk works really hard but always finds time to try and make parents happy. Diapering is done well and my son stayed rash free. Even after he was potty trained, his underwear would be clear of feces. Every staff member knows my son's name and greet him by name. A few staff love my son and have gone above and beyond for him. Themed events occurs frequently and students enjoy dressing up and attending. Children are learning life skills to make them more independent. Cons Hygiene of children at pick-up. Multiple times a week I pick my child up and his hands are dirty (almost black at times), snot running down his face, and a few times he peed himself (potty trained) and they didn't know. Most recently, he comes home with marker all over his legs and dot art on his arms. I appreciate the use of multiple supplies but question the supervision during these activities. There is a huge inconsistency from classroom to classroom with routines, academics, and friendliness of the staff. Also, the sincerity and commitment of personnel varies greatly. You can go long periods without seeing the teacher assigned to the classroom or not see them at all depending on your work schedule. Additionally, the director has a schedule that only accommodates late drop offs or early pickups. At drop off, your child can move through two additional classes before heading to their actual classroom because of staff schedules. I don't feel this is appropriate social emotionally for younger children. When a complaint is made, things are fixed for a while but then the issue continues. Complaints to the director are dealt with harshness, creating an unhappy work environment. Staff retention and moral is terrible. Therefore, their issues result in inconsistent care of my son. . My son consistently comes home with marks and bruises on his face. Most times, I am called and given a description of the incident and the care that was provided. When I complain about 2-3 accidents a week, the accident reports stop. But he still comes home with marks and bruises but staff is in denial about his accidents and accident reports are not filed Parking is not the best during heavy drop off and pick up times. Notices have been given to parents about safety and respect. Knowing this, the director chooses to take the spot directly in front on the door. I've even seen her go inside just to come back out to move it up a few feet after a parent leaves. This to me is inconsiderate because all parents have infants and small children whose safety during entry should be the priority. I have never seen the director in a classroom. However, she watches the staff from her office and sends 1 of the 5 assistant directors into classrooms. Ratios are usually at the max. Students are shifted regularly so any extra staff can be dismissed. Notification of severe illnesses is posted at the classroom entry and no other notification is given to parents. I spoke to many other parents and busy drop off and pick up results in unseen information. I have not witnessed proper protocol after a child puts toys in their mouths during the day. Having my advanced son pushed academically was done with only 1 of 3 teacher. This would be a great school with better management. read more

This was my experience at the location on southwest highway. My child started at this daycare at age 6 months and everything went well until they moved up to room 1. Almost every night when I'd get my child they were screaming and crying with snot coming out of their nose. Every other kid in the room would be crying too while the teacher was trying to hide being on her phone. Doesn't that sound like neglect to you? To me it does. This assistant was awful and should be fired in my opinion. All the other staff and director were great. Once my child was out of this room and went in to the next I had no other issues. If your looking for a daycare for your children PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Long story short, this daycare installed cameras in their classrooms February 5, 2019 WITHOUT getting the parents consent. They claim that I gave them consent when I signed up for the Teachers Strategy Gold..YET when I asked Ms. Diane for a copy of my paperwork to be put into my kids files on Thursday February 7th to show proof that I gave them permission she didn't do so. Heres where it gets good and you can see the true colors of PENNY LANE SCHOOL ON SOUTHWEST HIGHWAY. Then after I got out of work on Friday February 8th and arrived at the daycare at 4pm Ms. Diane informed me the daycare wouldn't allow my children to return to daycare Monday morning! When I continued to ask for my paperwork she said she couldn't give me anything. So basically because I asked for documentation that they clearly DON'T have they decided to just kick my children out of the daycare since I was the only parent apparently that KNOWS MY RIGHTS! ANY DAYCARE THAT KICKS CHILDREN OUT BECAUSE THEIR IN THE WRONG DOESN'T DESERVE TO STAY IN BUSINESS. My childrens teachers were great and you deserve better! After several things had occurred while my daughter was attending this daycare, I wanted to write a review each time. She was in one of the 2-3 year old rooms. After reading some of these reviews, I've noticed that other parents were having the same issues I was having. Let me begin.... Almost every time I picked up my daughter, at least 2 other kids in her class had wet boogers dripping down to their mouth. My daughter always had dried up booger's all over her face. The teachers obviously weren't wiping or helping the children. I knew my daughter was having discomfort, because since the teachers weren't helping, she would constantly be picking at her nose, scratching and left herself a little scab under her nose. You always want your child to be comfortable, NOT having to be constantly picking at their nose or irritating it because their teachers do not care enough to help. I addressed the situation, & STILL it was the same. NEXT..... I go to pick up my daughter & once I arrive, I pick through the door and see her running around. I come in, and feel that she has poo in her diaper. I address the teacher and she says "Oh yeah it's changing time" but they didn't even have a child on the changing table. So it didn't seem like "changing time", I had arrived there around 4:45. She then begins to change my daughter and it's taking her almost 10 minutes, as I'm watching her, it seems like she does not even know what she's doing. Finally, she starts to put my daughters shoes on, I see her stuffing her foot into the shoe, I get closer to see what the issue is, and she's putting the wrong shoe on the wrong foot. She then starts to put her other shoe on, AGAIN, she is stuffing it in the shoe and struggling. I see that the tongue of the shoe is bent all the way in, so of course my daughters foot is not going to go in. I then tell her to stop and that I will take care of it, because she simply did not know what she was doing. This is only the beginning... THEN I get into my car, my daughter says "Mama" and shows me her hand. There is a SPREAD OF POO ON MY 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTERS HAND. My heart drops. I start to cry because of how aggravated and disgusting that is for my daughter. WHAT IF SHE PUT HER HAND IN HER MOUTH? BUT WAIT, that's not it! I get home to check her diaper, there is STILL POO IN BETWEEN HER PRIVATE AREA, after it took this lady almost 10 minutes to change her diaper. I call the day care to address the situation, the lady at the front desk answers and says "Oh the teacher was suppose to wash her hands" I come in the next day to speak to Laura. Her solution was a WRITE UP. She then said that the teacher is handicap, ummmm well why is she changing diapers? That is not an excuse for my daughter having nasty stuff on her hand. My daughters grandmother picked up my child the next day and addressed the situation again. As a CONCERNED GRANDMOTHER and a HELPFUL PEER, She has a right to ask an other parent for their opinion on the day care & to let them know what happened. I then had Laura call me the next day saying how it was not right for my daughters grandmother to go up to a parent. OR was it just upsetting to have an other parent find out what had happened? I stopped taking my daughter to that day care. They then called and I said my daughter will no longer be attending there. I then kept receiving voicemails asking if my daughter was okay or why she hasn't been coming in, AFTER I HAD TOLD ONE OF THE LADIES AT THE FRONT SHE WILL NO LONGER BE ATTENDING. I then received a voicemail from the financial office saying I owe money for 2 weeks, in which my daughter did not even attend, BECAUSE I HAD TAKEN HER OUT of that day care. My account was then charged for those 2 weeks that my daughter did not attend, even after explaining to a lady on the phone that I will not be taking her there anymore. PARENT TO PARENT, please do not send your kids here. They need to shut this place down! Maybe if you guys were as concerned about your children as you were about collecting money from parents, you wouldn't be receiving such bad reviews. I was basically charged for horrible diaper changing, a scabbed nose, & no attendance. read more

Let me start by saying how reluctant my wife and I were to send our daughter to daycare as an infant. But working full time jobs with family who all have full time jobs we had no other options.. The front office staff and teachers all made us feel comfortable from the moment we stepped foot in the center!! They provide the socialization and education that our daughter needs. There is nothing more comforting than knowing your child is in the care of qualified and passionate individuals who treat her like she is a part of their own family while helping her grow and educating her for future success!! I highly recommend Penny Lane School- Oak Lawn to anyone looking for a quality school with staff that have the children's best interest at heart!! I have sent 2 children to Penny Lane so I've gone there almost every day for 5 years...I have been very happy overall with the level of care my children receive. The teachers are attentive and always greet everyone by name and my children are happy to see them. I love that they have a nice size playground and a gym! I also see them being careful about cleanliness, using gloves while changing diapers, wiping noses, washing theirs and the children's hands, and having a "sanitize" bin for toys that inevitably go in mouths. I was inclined to write a review after seeing some of the bad ones...however I have never had an experience as negative as what some have described. I am and have been a teacher for 17 years. This is a solidly run school. As far as reviews concerning money - not to be blunt, but it is a business. With a business such as this, they have to be strict with money. All of them are. That does not bother me. Be responsible and pay on time. But, back to the school. My daughter has been attending for over 3 years - she is well ahead of kids two years older at the school I work at. I am a long time parent at Penny Lane School. Both of my daughters have been in attendance since they were babies. My girls have grown so much here in every area, from learning Spanish, sign language, letter renegotiation but most of all their language and social skills are above and beyond most children their age. I know this starts with home but I can honestly say Penny Lane has a huge part in this and I'm and very grateful to them and all of their staff. It's a good feeling when you drop off your children and you're welcomed each day with a friendly face and warm smile. This makes it easy for me to start my day to know my children are well cared for. I was excited for my son to begin here... until a week prior to his start date. When I originally reached out, I had asked whether his school was within the radius for the pickup/drop off option. They continued to tell me that they would look into it, but assured me not to worry as it shouldn't be a problem since they have 2 locations. A week before his start date, I called to follow up on when a good time to drop off his paper work would be. she THEN told me that they did not offer the service for his school. I thought this inconsiderate of the daycare to do, as their services are specifically to accommodate parents when they are in need of child care but also because they did not even bother to call me to notify me of this. Not only did it cause a lot of stress for me to figure out an alternative.. but this was a waste of my time and money - since they took the registration fee I paid & didn't bother to even follow up from there. My daughter has been going to Penny Lane on Southwest Highway since July 2015. She started in Room 3 when she was 5 months old and is now in Room 1 (20 months old). It's pretty pretty amazing to see her grow within the environment and structure that the staff put in place. I continue to be impressed each day by her development! The staff have been amazingly accommodating and supportive as well as informative - which helps. In each classroom it seems that she bonds with at least one teacher who (it seems) goes the extra mile to help her to succeed. I'll be honest that I was very nervous about picking a daycare for my child (my wife and I work full-time so having her away from us for 9 to 10 hours each day is hard), and the experience had a Penny Lane has been fantastic. My daughter has been attending Penny Lane School's Oak Lawn location since she was an infant. My wife and I feel very fortunate that she was at this location during the uncertain times of a pandemic. The incredible staff have always mad us feel at ease, but throughout these times it has made life easier knowing that she is in a safe and educational environment. The front office staff has always been there for their families and I applaud the job the director has done making sure the families and staff are all safe. I know this time has been uncertain for all of us, but if you are looking for quality education in a safe environment don't think twice give this location a call. My daughter has been going here since she was 6 months old and always had the best care. She was breastfeeding and formula; they were always very nice about saying if I ever needed I could sit with her a feed before leaving to work. All the teachers talked with me about her transitions to every room. Any phone calls during the day to check up were also welcome. The whole staff is very understanding and personable. We're practically a family now because my daughter still goes to their for preschool program. She's learned so much and is very independent for her age; while knowing what is safe for her or only adults. I love that they offer parent teacher conferences too! Pictures and progress reports on a user friendly app is always a plus in any school/family relationship. read more

I have been sending my son to Penny Lane in Oak Lawn for almost two years now and do not have enough nice things to say about the place. The staff is exceedingly friendly and caring. They give my son all the care and attention I would give him if I were able to stay home instead of having to work. I sent my daughter there over the summer for their summer camp as well and she had a blast. She will definitely be going back next summer. Everyone there knows our names and we are greeted with a big smile every time we walk through the door. My son has been in three different rooms now and each one of his teachers has been great. He loves them all so much that every time I pick him up he insists on stopping in each of their rooms to give them hugs. This place feels like more than a day care center. It feels like an extension of my home. I highly recommend it. read more

I have to start off by saying my children and niece and nephews who some are now in high school attended Penny Lane and haven't had as many issues as I am now with the daycare. 1st and foremost is how the daycare has now tried to implement and fingerprint scanner in order to pick up your own children! 1st off everyone knows how dangerous it is if this type of information gets hacked and seeing how Penny Lane doesn't have a tech person on staff I don't feel safe with that type of information in their hands. I work at an elementary school for over 5 years and we have never once or would be ever ask a parent/ grandparent etc for their fingerprint in order to pick up their child. Especially when I spoke to a woman in the accounting office that said if I refused I could just do a pin code( which is what our school offers for our extended day program) makes sense/ it's safe each individual I have listed to pick up my kids has their own unique code and it gets changed as frequently as I would like to ensure it's security! Another thing that really pisses me off is how they installed cameras in ALL the classrooms WITHOUT consent! Just because I told teachers they could take a picture of my child and send it to me DOES NOT by any means give you the permission to have a live video running in their classroom that can easily be hacked since it's over an insecure WiFi! Some parents might say it's good to have cameras and I get it their intentions might have been in the right place but then don't half ass the procedure and pay the 10,000-15,000 dollars to house your servers in the building! I am beyond disappointed in this daycare and have already begun the process of a lawsuit, I will NOT sit back and allow a daycare to invade my privacy or my child's! I go to great lengths not to have social media like Facebook or instagram and keep them off the internet but then a daycare makes the decision to install cameras and then DOESNt have the mordacity to tell me about it! We have 3 children. All three started as infants. On top of it being a safe, clean, and friendly environment the real gold is that we are able to enjoy that our children have been introduced to early learning with fun games, organized structure, and understand how to interact properly with others. My husband and I have noticed that communication skills have been the root of positive interaction both with others and at home. When others comment on how bright and good our children are and how lucky we are, sure we take credit, but both of us know the credit belongs mostly to Penny Lane and the outstanding work they do behind the scenes to ensure each child's development. Penny Lane is a great school my son has learned so much by going here. The staff and the teachers are always polite and very aware what's going on in the school. I fell very safe talking him here. If something happens they notify me right away shows they care. I highly recommend the school for any child and it's very clean. Do not send your kids to this shrewd organization. Not only was my child hurt there, but they took no responsibility. If your late picking them up, it's $5 a minute. If you do not pay on time they will not let you drop off your kids on a weekly basis. They are very greedy and a run a cold operation. I'm sorry that my kids went there, but it's close to the house. Oh, and don't go to the 4527 Southwest Hwy Oak Lawn, IL 60453 location either for day care. It's run as a 24/7 operation. My child caught the Scarlet Fever there! I LOVE Penny Lane! I am actually shocked to see any negative reviews about this school. I am a teacher myself and have very high standards and expectations for anyone who is taking care of and educating my children. When my oldest needed to go into daycare i went to over 20 facilities (some close to home, some close to my work and others by my husband's work). This was the ONLY place I would trust to take care of my child. Each one of the teachers my son has had is attentive and caring, my son has had Ms. Britt twice and has been an amazing asset to my child's development. They provide me with weekly lesson plans, menus and activities to do at home to help foster his learning. They are great with communication and are very well organized. When I had my second child, he had to go right into daycare at 3 months, I had no hesitation trusting Penny Lane to take excellent care of my baby. I am just sad that my boys will have to leave there when they are ready for "big kid school" Seriously, if you have any doubts just go in and check it out. I LOVE this school. I have an 8 month old and am a first time mom. They always know exactly what is going on with her, give helpful suggestions and keep her smiling. I always feel my daughter is loved and cared for. Even if it is not the "main" teacher, staff is always able to give me anecdotes about the day. If she has an "accident" and they have to change her, they always make sure she has a clean pair of clothing even if her supply of clothes is out. I have 100% confidence in them and know that they know my daughters needs and care for her as a person. As with all children, bumps and bruises happen. Even for the smallest incident of her taking a tumble, I get a call home. They let me know what happened and what they did to help remedy any little injury. Luckily, that has been rare, but they are never afraid to let me know anything which gives me piece of mind that they are aware of even the smallest things. read more

As a first time parent, I initially called and requested updates more than normal, but everyone I talked to has always been pleasant. I've slowed down with the phone calls, as my trust grew with his care. I receive a phone call whenever anything happens (bump, scratch, scrape), and they tell me what happened, what they did, and how he is doing at the time of the phone call. I can't say enough good things about this place. The teachers are wonderful, kind, and responsive. The supportive staff is courteous and informative. I'm grateful to have found this place for my son. My daughter currently attends this day care. The teachers are great and all but every time I go to pick up my daughter from in her class, I see about 3 kids who have snot running down their nose. I would think that the teachers would at least help them out and wipe it off. I wanted to grab a tissue myself and wipe their noses. The next day I come to drop her off in the morning, and again there was a kid with snot running down his nose. Then the next day, I pick my daughter up and she has dried up boogers all around her nose and cheeks, obviously from having to wipe her own snot, spreading it all on her face. Kids are having to wipe themselves with their own hands, then touching the toys, and playing with one an other. It would be nice for the teachers to obviously understand that a 2 year old does not know how to wipe their own nose. It highly frustrates me knowing that the teachers are letting these kids run around with boogers coming down their nose and not doing anything to help them out. I'm sure they see with their own eyes but I guess they do not care enough to help wipe their noses. I understand that there are already germs, but things like this is what causes even more germs to be spread, which can obviously be prevented by simply wiping a child's nose. read more

My children attend the Penny Lane on SW hwy and I can say out of the 3 previous daycares we have been in this is by far the best. The staff there are very well trained and my children, I feel, are developing much faster than my friends children who are at other daycare centers. I would highly recommend penny lane school to anyone who is looking for their children to have a premium daycare experience. read more

An absolute great experience for my kids. I have two children there. The teachers are very loving and caring. My children have become attached to their teachers. I believe its a safe environment, with engaging teachers and other parents are wonderful. I believe the school is racially and economically diverse. The school celebrates the diversity and an added plus is they teach Spanish! I would highly recommend the school if you can afford it (a little on the expensive side, but I have no regrets). read more

All three of my children attend Penny Lane Oak Lawn. We love it here! The teacher are supportive, attentive, and there is open communication. I am amazed at the growth that I see within my children. They teach them sign language and Spanish. The teachers and director are so welcoming as well. I often hear them addressing the children by name in the hallways. They go above and beyond to make sure that the children and parents feel safe and comfortable. I love that there is an outdoor play area and an indoor gym space for the kids to enjoy. The school often has special event for the families as well such as family breakfast. I appreciate those extra touches that show they care. I feel that all of my children are in the best of hands and will be well taken care of while there. In the classrooms, the children are constantly having fun and are engaged. The teachers plan great activities! The school documents this all for parent to see and know what is going on. I receive daily sheets and pictures of my children on a regular basis. My children have been at Penny Lane for 12 years. Penny Lane has been an excellent experience for them. They have learned to be independent, how to get along well with other children, and even have been taught spanish! The school has taught them to take pride in themselves and in their work. This daycare is the biggest ripoff ever. People shop around there are other day cares in the area that are not only cheaper but much nicer. Also, they like to rip people off as my friend went there and gave a deposit but had a relative that decided she would watch her little girl so shen called for a refund they were very rude and told her Sorry we don't do refunds. I sent my daughter to this daycare and ended up quitting my job over it. She has milk and soy allergies and since it was always different staff in and out, my daughter was always getting formula she was allergic to, despite the special formula I sent with her. She had a doctor's note that she needed rice in her bottles for her acid reflux. For weeks, no one could figure out why she wouldn't drink bottles there and would cry all day. It was because they weren't putting the rice in the bottles and would get horrible heartburn from them. She was on breathing treatments while she was there due to the reflux and allergic reactions. Since I quit she hasn't needed one treatment. They basically tortured her there. I even had to fight with the staff and call the director because they would only give her sweet potatoes for baby food. So 5 days a week, 2 meals a day she got sweet potatoes and I couldn't get them to give her anything else. One whacko even told me it's all they had for her! It took me about 4 months to figure out what was happening with the milk. They just kept sending her home sick and I ended up taking more & more days off unpaid. They would call me in because she was "projectile vomiting" and say she couldn't come back for 24 hours. I called the director one day and said she was projectile vomiting because she was given milk and it was out of her system and I needed to go to work. She then allowed me to bring her in and the teacher scolded me in front of everyone because rules are rules, regardless of why she had vomiting. She was diagnosed with several disorders and delays but it appears it was all allergy related because she is catching up leaps and bounds now. Now she is scared to death to be with anyone but me. I wonder why. Thanks a lot Penny Lane. I haven't been able to leave the house without her in 6 months. She trusts no one. Not even grandparents. When she was with a babysitter prior to Penny Lane, this was not the case. They seriously did damage to our child and our lives. If I had any proof about the milk, I'd sue them so they couldn't do this to anyone else. Horrible, horrible place. Should be shut down and the staff should be force fed whatever they are allergic to. read more

i did not like this organization at all. my son went for about 2 or 3 weeks when he was 3. the other kids had bad behavioral issues, i caught one whipping a chair, another jumping a kid and punching and mind you they were under 5. the teachers are useless, just there to make sure no one gets killed. read more
