People in central Oregon don't know how to do volume. Leah was rough pulling out my eyelashes. First time I've ever had eyelash extensions that hurt. I've been getting my lashes professionally done for years now. And this parlor had some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Not only did my appointment get cancels upon my arrival, but the owner told me she did not recommend who was going to do my work anyways. So why would she let her do my lashes in the first place?? I had my lashes done by the owner, the work was clean and done to perfection. Though the lashes looked great, her need to build fans perfectly made for quite the lengthy procedure (2 hours or more). Which is usually normal, but my lashes were not full and well done. Not only did all those things happen but my lashes were falling off in a few days, due to low quality glue and sealer. If you want your lashes to look great for a week and cost you a fortune, go here! But if you want quality long lasting, and market price work. I'd recommend elsewhere. read more

Quaint, clean, studio in NW Bend, look for parking behind the building in the alley - there are just a handful of spaces for this business. Front desk didn't seem to be staffed by a dedicated front desk employee. Maybe there isn't one? The employee that was there was on her phone and not particularly welcoming. I went here for lash tinting and a brow wax. The aesthetician who did my lashes and brows was excellent. She listened to what I wanted. She listened to questions I asked and provided excellent advice and service. I really do appreciate it when industry experts have honest conversations with clients about what will and will not really work with your hair color, skin tone, shape of your face, the amount of eyebrows you actually have to work with, etc. I felt the services were reasonably priced and left super happy. I've worn lash extensions for a few years, but was concerned about finding a capable lash technician in a small town like Bend. I scoured Yelp, Google, and even called and interviewed different salons. I was specifically looking for a lash technician that had more than a few years experience, and that had Asian clients, because my lashes are particularly straight and sparse. I found Rebecca through a referral. Rebecca is extremely professional. She discusses what would work best for you, based on factors like your lash length, growth rate, thickness, and the look you're going for. She also discusses care of your lashes so you get the longest wear time possible. It may sound crazy to go into that much detail on something as small as eyelashes, but if you've worn lash extensions, you know they are a time and money commitment/investment, and you will appreciate her perfectionism. She's also easy to work with, talk to, and punctual. Since you'll be lying there, not moving, with your eyes closed for up to a couple hours, it's important to have a friendly technician! You're not going to get the price breaks you'd find in a metropolitan city, because there are very few places in Bend that are experienced with lash extensions. However, the cost isn't prohibitive, and I'm happy to pay for Rebecca's level of quality work. read more

This is horribly hard for me to write such a review. To be fair the first time I came in, I loved the end result. This time was horrible. I understand she told me she wasn't on her A game today, but to let me leave with a huge chunk of wax in my hair, tint barely off my eyebrows and now my right eyebrow is slightly shorter than my left, ARE YOU JOKING? Then the icing on the cake, when she used her calculator in from of me 46 is my total but magically the price I paid was 50. She up charged me and let me leave looking like a clown with the eyebrows and wax in my hair. My husband also laughed uncontrollably when he saw my eyebrows. Please please save your money. read more

To say I was blown away is an understatement. I LOVE how my lashes turned out. Christine made sure to ask me a few questions about my lash preferences, how I prefer to do my makeup and preferred lash length etc. And then we got to business! At Penny they don't just slap on extensions and call it good they make sure to style your eye; meaning multiple lengths and great care to accentuate your eye! I felt comfortable the entire time and had great conversation as she carefully crafted my lashes. When the two hours was up she didn't rush me out of my chair, she took care to double even triple check her work to make sure it was flawless. And when I was finally able to see the big reveal I almost cried out of happiness! Lol Needless to say my flat lifeless lashes were now full and gave me the "I woke up like this" vibe. I love the lady that did my lashes but the owner and her policies are down right ridiculous and dangerous. She will force you to pay 100.00 even though you have no control over the weather, and can not make your appointment. I gave a 3 day warning that I may not be able to make it due to three winter storms, back to back. My driveway is a sheet of ice. If I were to try and leave my car would slide right down the Canyon, that's off my driveway!! I'm so disappointed in the owner. I have been seeing Rebecca for years, first as a wax client and more currently, as a lash client. In that time, I have moved from Bend to Portland and have yet to find a better lash artist than RP. She is - without hesitation - the best in Oregon. Even after trying a few well-respected estheticians in PDX, I didn't received the quality of work that Rebecca consistently produces. Not only is she knowledgeable and up-to-date, she does an excellent job customizing your lashes to compliment your eye shape as well as your lifestyle, and she is always thorough explaining care and maintenance - even being two years into wearing extensions, she keeps an eye on my natural lashes and gives me advice on how to keep them nice and healthy. Rebecca also uses incredibly high-quality lashes and adhesive to round out her work - from my experience, this makes a HUGE difference in wearability and general lifetime between appointments. People ask me almost daily if my lashes are real. Even living three hours away, Rebecca is absolutely worth the trip. She has a growing and very loyal clientele which should speak for itself.
