I went in to get my dip removed, not even get my nails redone there, and she shaved down my nail so much I have a divot in it, I asked if we could soak in acetone instead, not even sure what kind of chemical she tried to use but it wasn't wasn't acentone and didn't work whatsoever so I just paid for the half done service and left. pictures are attached. You need to be licensed to do this kind of work because it can lead to really painful damages and I have a hard time believing that nail tech had any license. read more

I got a pedicure over a month (5 weeks) ago and my nail polish still looks good!! I'm on awe because when I get my nails done at other places, you can tell it's been a while. I feel like my nails are still looking "fresh". The appointment process on their website was so easy and I actually prefer this method. I absolutely hate making phone calls. When you make an appt, you'd get reminder emails and texts which is super helpful. Also worth mentioning: I had to prepay for my service when I booked the appt. I didn't mind doing this. I just ended up getting cash for tip for the day of. The location is fairly easy to find with GPS even though I drove past it and has to make a u-turn but that was my fault for not paying attention. So I called on really short notice and they were super kind enough to get me in. Then to make matters worse for them , I got stuck in traffic and was 20 minutes late. I get it, I was way too late for a full pedicure. I didn't expect a massage or a parifin wax, but I did expect at least a good polish change. While the more experienced of the two technicians (possibly the owner or manager) sat there the whole time focused on her cell phone, the obviously new and very nice nail tech tried to do what appeared to be one of her first pedicures there. The picture is two days old. The owner charged me $45 for a spa pedicure, even though it was a sport pedicure. I was happy to pay it for their time. It was a super cute location. read more

I had the CBD facial which is unlike any facial I've had. It is very relaxing and not a true facial. You get steamed and then a number of different "masks" some warm some cool. Hand and feet massages are done while you "wait" for the masks. Very relaxing read more

So glad I found Tanya at South Sister Skin & Nails! I've tried a few places around Bend for pedicures over the last few years but never really found my go-to salon. Until now! The salon is clean, cheerful, bright, and cozy without feeling crowded. The pedicure chairs SSSN uses are super sanitary with disposable liners so no worries about bacteria hiding in nooks and crannies. Tanya had TONS of polish colors to choose from and she even keeps your pedicure kit in the salon for you! Prices are very reasonable, especially for Bend. She was blotting blood from my hand. I asked her what she was doing, she told me that I was bleeding. No apology for cutting me with her cuticle clipper. I had a pedicure with regular polish and a shellac French manicure. No massage for feet/legs or hands/arm but it took TWO hours. Perhaps because when she did the shellac she did one finger on one hand, then under the lights, while she did one finger on the other hand, etc. rather than doing one hand then under the lights while doing the other hand. All this while humming and dancing her shoulders to the music. I won't be back. read more

I SO wish I could double or triple the star rating. My love for receiving services from Tanya multiplies every time I see her! I originally saw Tanya for a facial. I left a wonderful esthetician in the previous state I lived in and was certain I'd never find someone as amazing; I was totally wrong. My facial with Tanya was SUPERB... like the next morning you wake up and notice how amazing your skin is superb... and then days later you STILL notice it superb. I could immediately sense her passion for skincare, her impressive knowledge, her willingness and patience to answer all of my questions, and her overall enthusiasm that is absolutely infectious. (Seriously.) She is one of the most genuine people I've ever met, which is important for me when choosing an esthetician. I really want to know I can trust them and I trust her implicitly with my skin... and now my lashes and eyebrows. The facial inspired me to give lash extensions a try. I'd been curious for years and my confidence in Tanya inspired me to finally do it. I cannot express fully how much I adored them. I adored them so much, that I recently visited her again for more lash extensions! Both appointments were consistently WONDERFUL and exceeded my expectations. She gave me thorough information on how to take care of them. I followed her instruction and the lashes that were meant to last 2-4 weeks, lasted almost 6. I think this is largely due to with how meticulously she applies them. She is just really, really, REALLY good at it. During my most recent visit I actually fell asleep during our appointment! She is so gentle (and has the best energy to be around) that I relaxed to the extent of waking myself up snoring on her table. Yep. And I'm so not someone who does that. Ever. She just kept singing (she has an incredible voice) and made me feel super comfortable about it. Really, I think that's my favorite part of seeing Tanya. She really makes you feel comfortable, relaxed, and taken care of. I leave feeling pampered and beautiful. Also, she is an eyebrow wizard. I don't let anyone touch my eyebrows and I decided to give it a shot this time. I emailed her that evening praising her for the eyebrow WOW I was experiencing. She really shaped them p-e-r-f-e-c-t-l-y for my face and really listened to what I wanted. I highly recommend scheduling services with Tanya, especially at this time of year. I felt like I got a revamp for Spring. I already can't wait to see her again. Tanya is wonderful! I had a very relaxing facial and it made me feel peaceful and it made my skin look fresh and glowing. Tanya was a great communicator. I love how she let me choose what kind of music I wanted to listen to during my facial. Out of all of the facials and massages I have had, I have never been given this choice. I love it!
