Very good coffee with a fair offering of baked goods; also very good. Great place to hang out on a foggy morning with your furry buddy.

The bread is really dry and I thought the sandwhich would be pressed for some reason, but it's not horrible. My only complaint is that some of the staff was rude. After paying, I heard one of the girls sarcastically complain about how much I tipped. The 2 girls then proceeded to complain about another customer that came in and complained about how little she tipped. I find this very rude and awkward af; like why are you talking sh- about customers when you're literally standing in front of multiple customers. I don't know if she thinks people can't hear their conversation behind the counter, but the entire restaurant can lol. The girl who rang me up was really nice though. Just an FYI, I didn't even tip low, I'm not sure how much she was expecting me to leave for making some smoothies and a sandwhich lmao. But I don't think I'll be coming back here just because of them. Felt like mean girls in high school talking about other people. They also kept giving weird looks and just had an off putting attitude; weird vibes. I would give 1 star but that smoothie alone is worth a star, so good!

I got one with coffee and chai and it wasn't too sweet... it just hit NICE. It was perfect kismet to find this little haven of clean eating in between major stops on the road. You could tell a lot of love and care goes into the food here. Food came fast... our 'server' was super nice and patient (I couldn't decide between the burrito and açaí bowl)... glad I went with the burrito. I'm jealous of all you Asheville locals!

We arrived during a staff meeting concluding and fortunately we were welcomed in. I ordered the Harmony Bowl, while SCW got the Rueben. I ordered a local pilsner while we waited and enjoyed it. Our order came out about 10 minutes after and we were on our way. I was struck by the weight of our take out. Only a few items but yeah, it was heavy. I really enjoyed the Harmony bowl. So much fresh veggies, great tempeh, and yes the veggies! Really good, not salty, not soaked in oil. Really, really good. SCW oradered the Rueben. Really good as well. Great vegan rueben that wasn't soaked in oil. Laughing seed was awesome. The people were great and so welcoming. Give Laughing Seed Cafe a chance. I'm sure you'll enoy it.

I got the miso eggplant and the Thai coconut curry, both of which were so delicious. The entire staff was so nice and all had great recommendations and the restaurant was very cute and comfortable.

The fish patty was cooked through and the other ingredients plus a warm bun were successful. The spinach was actually more my speed than the lettuce would have been. The fries had a good crisp, but could have used a little more salt. Overall, this is how to get a well-balanced lunch.

Out of stock items: watermelon (take down the special advertisement!), beets, strawberries, and bananas. I was not informed that the strawberries and bananas were out of stock until after being served my incomplete bowl. This next part is on me but I expected their fruit (blueberries specifically) to be fresh, not frozen. Their "ciabatta" bread had zero characteristics of real ciabatta bread. I would've much rather seen it described as "homemade bread". The positives of the experience: it's an inclusive cafe, the staff was friendly (they may forget to mention oos items), and there was a clear effort to provide a sustainable experience. Overall, I would not make an effort to visit and spend money here. Other customers seemed to enjoy it, so I hope I just ordered the wrong items. To the business: please work on your inventory management! There is no excuse for running out of ingredients if they are frozen.
