Great pour of wine and a wide variety of interesting goat cheeses! Not your typical wine tasting - 10 small pours and cheeses for $25, unbeatable price but you do have to bring your glass inside and wait at the bar in between each pour. The service was friendly and welcoming especially to our senior dog. Note: lots of flies in the outdoor patio area. Not their fault but it made the cheese sampler a bit less appetizing. We took home some frozen ziti with goat cheese which was a nice big portion. Nice pit stop on the way up to Mendocino!

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We did the wine and cheese pairing, which was very affordable and a great way to try what I might not otherwise have picked. I'll be back!

Our family (with 4 kids) stopped here and loved it. The kids loved checking out the garden, feeding the goats, and exploring their beautiful property. We did a cheese and wine tasting and it was delicious. They also have a few other food items: we tried the pretzel and all liked it as well. This is a perfect place to stop and get fresh air between the windy roads. The staff was also very accommodating to our family!

Pennyroyal Farms is a must visit in Anderson Valley! As the name implies it is a working farm and they offer farm tours and have some farm animals out front. When walking in I was impressed by all the cheese options and grab and go cold case section. In addition, they have a kitchen on site and make some tasty looking fixings. We didn't try any of the food besides some cheese samples but next visit trying the food is a must!  They offer a wine and cheese pairing for $10 each. We opted for just the wine tasting, which included 10 wines and a great variety of whites, rose and reds. The Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir's were my favorites. Honestly, all the wine was really good though!  They have a tasting room bar located inside as well as outside. They have plenty of seating outdoors overlooking the Anderson Valley hills. It's such a beautiful view and very peaceful!  The staff was very warm, welcoming and knowledgeable about the wines and property. I can't wait for a future visit!

Loved every minute at Pennyroyal! Marisol provided wonderful service and led us through a fantastic wine and cheese pairing with 10 wines and cheeses. Of course they were smaller samples but it gave a really good sense of the varietals and different cheeses. Then walking the culinary garden and taking some time to visit the goats! Very laid back atmosphere- beautiful grounds. Will absolutely be back again.

We stopped in for a quick look to see what was all about. Im so glad we did!! We ordered the charcuterie board and a wine tasting. It was such a great experience, the staff were knowledgeable and took the time to explain the process and the pairings. The wines were exceptional and the cheese was amazing! I would highly recommend anyone looking for a great experience to stop in. The property was beautiful and outdoor seating was very enjoyable. We will be coming back!

Their cheese is so good! Not only have we seen the laychee (soft spreadable goat cheese) in menus at local restaurants, but also at Chez Panisse! We also subscribe to the cheese here. It's $300 per year for 5 deliveries of cheese. Each delivery is about 1.5lb of cheese with several varieties. Tip: you can feed the retired grandma goats at the far end of the parking lot!

Lucked out at this quaint farm for cheese tasting while driving on 128. The board most unique explosion of flavors and the staff is very helpful and explain each and every item on the board. The cheeseboards have 2 options - 1 with cured meats and another with freshly made jams. All the cheese are also made in-house from the sheep and goat that are on-site. They also make wine and grow vegetables onsite.

We had the best time at Pennyroyal Farm! We had reserved our wine and cheese tasting in advance, but probably didn't need to since they weren't very busy on a Sunday afternoon. The (dog friendly) patio was beautiful, with plenty of both covered and uncovered seating. We chose a table in the sun and had a beautiful view of the goats running around in the distance, as well at the rolling hills beyond that. Our host was welcoming and very knowledgeable. The tasting included 5 different wines and 7 different cheeses! He walked us through each one and advised on how to pair them. We were a bit worried because the flies were very attracted to the cheeses, but he brought over a few fly fans which solved the issue! All the wines we tried were fantastic, but the Eye of the Needle was easily my favorite of the bunch. We also got to try the Sauvignon Blanc at the end, which was excellent. The cheeses were equally impressive and I was blown away by the variety. The tasting was only $25/person, which I thought was pretty reasonable. After our tasting, we visited the "Grandma Goats" in the retirement pasture by the parking lot, and got to feed them out of our hands. Overall, this was an amazing experience - would happily return!

Wines are great and affordable (a bottle for non members runs ~$25-45ish), and their cheese pairing was delicious.
