Unfortunately they told us we needed a new transmission, which would cost $9000, and it would take at least two weeks to repair it. My brother-in-law checked with a friend of his to find a local mechanic who could give us a second opinion. He recommended Dan Riley, a transmission specialist who owns Reliable Auto Repair in Wyoming, PA. Dan listened to us describe the issues, took apart the applicable areas of the car, did some needed adjustments, and the car is now working fine. We took the car to his shop on Blackman Street around 2pm, by 4:30 we got a call that the car was ready.
