Just finished a 2 week closing on a condo in Lisle. We were only given a day by the seller to find an inspector and have it done the next day, which meant having to finesse someone's schedule (or pay more). Once I found Jonathan, he was willing to take on extra hours outside of his work schedule to get this done. We booked him that same say, however, we did not even know until minutes before the allotted time if we were able to go in or not. Regardless, Jonathan still showed up on time. Once we got in, he thoroughly checked everything in the space. He made sure to walk me through each aspect and had suggestions on what I could do to improve it/the price point of changing things. Also, did a full write up on basically everything in the house, and included annotated photos. Very very happy with Jonathan's work. I was accompanying my friend who was using them for his home purchase. I was actually in the middle of taking home inspection courses myself and wanted to see an inspection in action. John did an amazingly thorough job on our home inspection. We were unable to attend the inspection and his detailed notes and phone calls painted a picture of the house's status very well. Jonathan did a very thorough home inspection for us. I am one of those people who prefers to get my own home inspector rather than use agent's one to get a more independent review. I found jonathan to be (1) very thorough - he identified a whole host of issues large and small, (2) pragmatic - he prioritized which were the most urgent issues and which had the highest cost potential, (3) professional - he showed up early to get a head start on the exterior before anyone else arrived, then worked largely on his own, but stopped on each floor to show me the major issues. He was also balanced, while he identified a number of issues with the home he also identified its strengths like good brickwork and foundations. His report was likewise very thorough and included useful photographs. After the inspection he called me up to see if I had any questions. Jonathan was a great house inspectors and also generous with his time. He assisted us in inspecting our house that we are purchasing in Northbrook, IL. The home was a century old, a lot of inspection to be done. I was very pleased with his service and expertise. He reviewed with us his findings on the spot during and after the inspections in details. He climbed up in the big attic room and inspect it throughly to find some improper installation of things that could jeopardize the structure of the house. Also, he uses drone to inspect the condition of the roof. I would highly recommend him and use his service again in the future. His price was slightly more than the competition but worth the money. Jonathan and his drone fly high. Pentagon inspection is as good as it gets. I have no hesitation in suggesting Jonathan to any prospective buyer. He was right on time on the day of inspection, got on with his work and inspected everything thoroughly-right from the light bulb in attic to the wiring of the washer/ dryer, to draining in the bath tubs and to the slope of the steps in the entrance. Finally, Jonathan took his drone out and flew it over the roof to see if there were any broken shingles or debris. After his inspection, he walked me through the house again to explain me all the issues. He also gave us a 30 page detailed report within the 5 business days outlining all the issues that he had pointed out originally, with pictures and also explaining how it could be mitigated. His inspections were very detailed, and he took the time to explain every detail (and answer each question we had). His report includes pictures and verbiage, along with recommendations on how we should take care of our home. Basically, his home inspection report has become the basis for a manual/checklist for all of the items we should stay on top of as we maintain our home.
