Seemingly in the middle of nowhere, Hotel Golf was quite heavenly. There are many things to love…read moreabout it. Number one, the staff. The reception was friendly and helpful. I was able to check into my room an hour early once the room was ready and they helped me find key places on the map they give guests. The housekeeper was kind enough to show me how to use the elevator after I inquired, "Kde je vytah" in basic Czech. (See, learning a bit of the native language will go far.) Good thing, too, because it wasn't any elevator I'd ever encountered. She led me to what looked a door to a small room. You pulled on the handle and it swung open like a regular door versus pressing a button and having it slide open automatically. (You can also touch the moving front panel as the elevator glides up and down, so keep little ones away.) Once you reach your floor, don't wait for the door to slide open or you will be waiting a while. No worries if you do. Eventually, you'll remember since you had to pull the door open to enter, you have to push it open to exit. (Ask me how I know.) My room was surprisingly lovely! The bed arrangement was nice with an extra pillow tucked on a shelf and the mattress felt like heaven. There was a rotating fan (Don't really need A/C with the large window that opens all the way or tilts a bit for ventilation.), coffeemaker, mini-bar, in-room safe, and a flat screen TV with English language news channels. Now, the breakfast. THE BREAKFAST! It was heavenly, as well. The all-you-can-eat buffet had many options. There was more than one type of everything. There were several varieties of sausages, sliced meats, breads, pastries, cereals, fruits, spreads, and hot and cold beverages. The waitstaff was almost too attentive. They walked around clearing used plates, often asking whether or not you were done. You often had to work around one of the waiters as he stood and looked into already-full trays while guests were trying to serve themselves. All in all, there was something for everyone and you left satisfied. The only downside was the location. It was far from the city center and there was nothing around. It would not have been so bad if there was at least a grocery or convenience store around to purchase a bottle of water or snacks. If you got hungry or thirsty, too bad for you. Hence, the mini-bar I guess. They also had a full-service restaurant on site that opened in the evenings. The upside is the tram stop is right out front and it's a 20-minute straight shot into the center. A great find in a pinch, Hotel Golf was one of the best hotels I stayed in while traveling around Central Europe.

Ahh, Prague! Doesn't everyone love Prague? Whether you're young and after hip clubs to dance the…read morenight away in, or an old fella who's been there, done that and now more interested in historical architecture, there's a little, no, a lot, for everyone! Our long weekend began in Karlovy Vary, but then we spent a couple nights in Prague. And for you savvy travelers, you know that generally speaking, Prague offers a heck of a lot for not a lot of coin, er... Koruna. Now, when choosing a hotel, there's so much to consider: location, price, old school authentic vibes, or something modern with all the comfies of home. We opted for a combination of three of the above. Like I previously eluded to, prices are pretty dang reasonable in Prague, so with some advanced booking we were able to snag a room for 60 Euros per night here. In my book, that's an extreme value. However, for full disclosure, there was a serious glitch. The room would not accommodate two adults and two kids like the booking system implied it would. We didn't want to make things too difficult, so we offered to pay a little more if need be. The answer, two adjoining rooms at just a little more than what we were originally going to pay for the one room. So, needless to write, they took their accommodations beyond just the facility, they took it to the personnel level. In addition, we were granted access to the "Executive Lounge." Now don't assume that's some grand secret room exclusive to royalty or anything, but it was stocked with beverages and snacks 24/7, so that certainly came in handy. The breakfast buffet was spot on, and possibly the best aspect of this hotel was location. No, it wasn't situated in the heart of old town, but smack dab right next to a subway station. And it made it so easy to utilize Prague's public transit system to get around. Furthermore, the hotel sold the subway tickets. By the way, those same tickets are valid on all forms of public transportation; the subway, the busses, or the trams. Bang for buck, this hotel really packs a punch! I know we enjoyed our time here, and I'm pretty sure all of you will too. Cheers

You can easily take the metro to the center for less than 1€. They also offer a private limousine service to take you to the city center for around 13€. The Hotel is modern and clean. We decided to have breakfast in local cafes and didn't regret the decision, since we got to know Prague better. Parking is 20€ per day. Free WiFi.

The staff is professional, friendly and helpful. Our room was in a very good condition and was about 20sqm. Given that the hotel is at the river its quit easy to find, even if you gonna be blind drunk. By feet it is about 10 minutes to the charlesbridge and 15 minutes to the old town. There is art work all over and you can purchase it if it speaks to you. My room on the fifth floor was and upgrade and it was wonderful. Spacious and with a view of the river and city (which I think most rooms have as they seem all to face out. ) The toiletries were upscale and smelled wonderfully. The other bonus is you have a smart phone in each room free to use. So you can use it as a map, to make any calls, reservations or just contact the front desk if you have a request. (I didn't use it but it's a nice touch if you want to save roaming costs) Short and very pleasant (along river) walking distance (20 min) to old town and most of Prague but since it other side of the river it's also short walking distance to much less touristy areas. Areas where you can mingle with more locals, have incredible food and spend significantly less too.

Situated directly across from Mosaic House (and under the same management) Moo excels in all the details. First off, the host with the most, Eric -- what a gem. If you looked up "genuine hospitality" I'm sure his name might appear. He is well presented, very friendly, communicative and wants to make your stay feel right at home. He surely does this. The apartments themselves are gorgeous. Recently remodeled and brightly shining, the apartment I stayed in was stylish, comfortable, roomy (a living room! A real kitchen! dishes!) and flawlessly cleaned. There was a big huge swish bed that I sunk into each night wishing I could spend more and more hours in it. The shower is hot and the water pressure great. The building is beautiful. The location is grand, a short distance to all the sites but tucked inside a little alcove that keeps the noise at bay. There's a bakery in the ground floor, a corner shop a few meters away and all the sites of Prague at your fingertips/footsteps. At 90 euros a night, this is easily the best valued room I've stayed at in quite some time. I enjoyed every moment and couldn't have asked for anything more. Quirky, fun, enjoyable and lovely. If you are planning a trip, don't hesitate to book!

We took the opportunity to go on a walking tour of the city with one of the hotel employees, Vaclav, who was enthusiastic and super friendly. The hotel is located in Prague 5, within walking distance of Old Town. It's very close to Mala Stranna and there's a tram stop just a few minutes away. The building itself is old, but is tastefully decorated and our dwelling bathroom had been completely remodeled. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the hotel restaurant served very good traditional food.

The boat was easy to find and there was a good amount of parking right in front. Parking cost $7 a day. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They offer currency exchange at a very reasonable rate and everyone spoke perfect English. The boat was located in a prime spot. It was about a 20 minute walk to the touristy part of Prague or there was a transit station 3 minutes away. Our room, which was a suite, was very large and included a king size bed, a sectional couch, a flat screen tv, and a large marble bathroom with a full size bathtub, double vanity, and bidet. There was a very small mini fridge but no microwave. There were only a few downsides. First, it appeared our room had not been used in a while. While it was clean, there were spiders and spiderwebs in nearly every corner and window. While we're not frightened of them, I have family members who would have fled the boat. Secondly, as others warned in their reviews, the pillows were quite flat. Third, the breakfast was pretty lackluster in the morning. Finally, while the honeymoon suite has an air conditioning unit, it simply wasn't doing enough to combat the September heat. And we could not open the windows because a) they were covered in spiders and spiderwebs and b) they had no screens to keep flies and mosquitoes out. None of those problems were enough to keep me from staying again but they are worth keeping in mind when planning. Overall, we would absolutely stay again. For the price, this simply cannot be beat. It's got a great location and is such a unique experience.

Also, if you combine it with the fact that you can rent a room after having a dinner and some nice drinks and the other day wake up with a stunning view of the river, it's a five. I have a couple of times booked the room here and then surprised my boyfriend with the key that was brought to him instead of a dessert and we always had great time in here. I love to be coming back, but when it comes to the level of service and the meals, it's rather four stars. I can highly recommend this place but sometimes you have to get ready for minor flaws :)...
