First, the worship team is awesome!!! Second, everyone is super friendly, welcoming and caring. Third, and most important, the Pastor is amazing. He is extremely passionate about what he preaches. His messages will open your eyes to the Truth. He takes passages from the Bible and makes them easy to understand and demonstrates how to apply them to everyday situations. He stays true to the Bible, does not sugar coat anything and calls it as it is. If you are looking for a church that relaxes biblical principals to conform to the norms of this world, then this church is NOT for you. Aside from how serious he takes the Word of God, he is funny, easy going and just plain cool. He has a great wife and kids- and they all do so much for the church. The Spirit of God will hit you like a ton of bricks when you go there so be prepared! I guarantee that if you come to a few services, you will find the Answer you've been looking for or longing and come out a better, changed person.

I visited Christ Church over the holiday season and was immediately hooked! The people were so…read moreinviting and welcoming! I felt comfortable the moment I walked in. The congregation is beautifully diverse, and so is the ministerial staff. The music is uplifting, the message is powerful, and I always leave feeling inspired and loved. The Christmas show was absolutely fantastic, which led me to attend a regular Sunday morning service. It lasted just under 90 minutes, and I left feeling empowered, like I could conquer the world. I've been back several times since, and each visit somehow tops the last! Like others have mentioned, the only downside is parking. It's in downtown Montclair, which can get busy. I usually park at a nearby school a couple of blocks away and walk over which is not ideal for everyone, but it works for me. There's some limited street parking, but the best strategy is to attend the first morning service at 9 a.m. and arrive around 8:15-8:30. That way, you can usually snag a spot nearby. Overall, I have little to no complaints. Christ Church offers so much -- life groups, a children's ministry, a teen ministry, a marriage ministry -- so many opportunities to connect and grow. I truly feel at home here and look forward to returning again and again

They need to stop shining the three lights directly above the TV monitor on the stage of this…read morechurch DIRECTLY INTO THE AUDIENCES EYES. These lights are very bright and blinding and the church shines them directly into everyone in the pews eyes literally blinding them so that noone can even look towards the stage without going through eye torture and scarring. That is why noone in the pews (especially the center pews) can even look towards the stage without being literally blinded with blind spots immediately forming. That is why everyone has to look down that is sitting in the front or they look at the TV to the side rather than being blinded. It is absolutely absurd. Even the TV monitor in the q room is flashing and blinding. Noone should have to go blind to go to church. There is absolutely no reason for these three bright stage lights specifically to be shining directly towards everyone in the audiences eyes . The only reason I can even think of is so that they can see peoples faces for their video that noone consented to be in!!!! I will not be returning to this selfish church because I will not go blind its definetely not worth it. They could be doing a lot more for all the people that attend this church besides maken them go blind like some cops with three giant flashlights in your face for no reason. I have come to the church in good times and bad times, when I succeeded and when I failed, however my church was always family to me. They loved and supported me through it all and I would not be the person I am today without Crossroads Church. I love how there is people from all ages, backgrounds, countries in one place growing together, every single time we meet up. Even on days that I don't feel like going, I'm blessed when I leave. Even on rough days when things aren't going my way, I leave with a smile and confidence that I'm going to get past this. On my good days, its my turn to encourage those around me. There is a great children's program during Sunday services, teen program every Friday evening and Sunday morning, ESL classes during the week and Saturdays, food and clothing drives, and small groups anytime of the week.
