The congregation is beautifully diverse, and so is the ministerial staff. The music is uplifting, the message is powerful, and I always leave feeling inspired and loved. The Christmas show was absolutely fantastic, which led me to attend a regular Sunday morning service. It lasted just under 90 minutes, and I left feeling empowered, like I could conquer the world. I've been back several times since, and each visit somehow tops the last! Like others have mentioned, the only downside is parking. It's in downtown Montclair, which can get busy. I usually park at a nearby school a couple of blocks away and walk over which is not ideal for everyone, but it works for me. There's some limited street parking, but the best strategy is to attend the first morning service at 9 a.m. and arrive around 8:15-8:30. That way, you can usually snag a spot nearby. Overall, I have little to no complaints. Christ Church offers so much -- life groups, a children's ministry, a teen ministry, a marriage ministry -- so many opportunities to connect and grow. I truly feel at home here and look forward to returning again and again

These lights are very bright and blinding and the church shines them directly into everyone in the pews eyes literally blinding them so that noone can even look towards the stage without going through eye torture and scarring. That is why noone in the pews (especially the center pews) can even look towards the stage without being literally blinded with blind spots immediately forming. That is why everyone has to look down that is sitting in the front or they look at the TV to the side rather than being blinded. It is absolutely absurd. Even the TV monitor in the q room is flashing and blinding. Noone should have to go blind to go to church. There is absolutely no reason for these three bright stage lights specifically to be shining directly towards everyone in the audiences eyes . The only reason I can even think of is so that they can see peoples faces for their video that noone consented to be in!!!! I will not be returning to this selfish church because I will not go blind its definetely not worth it. They could be doing a lot more for all the people that attend this church besides maken them go blind like some cops with three giant flashlights in your face for no reason. I have come to the church in good times and bad times, when I succeeded and when I failed, however my church was always family to me. They loved and supported me through it all and I would not be the person I am today without Crossroads Church. I love how there is people from all ages, backgrounds, countries in one place growing together, every single time we meet up. Even on days that I don't feel like going, I'm blessed when I leave. Even on rough days when things aren't going my way, I leave with a smile and confidence that I'm going to get past this. On my good days, its my turn to encourage those around me. There is a great children's program during Sunday services, teen program every Friday evening and Sunday morning, ESL classes during the week and Saturdays, food and clothing drives, and small groups anytime of the week. According to them, anxiety and depression does not happen to strong believers. I was told if I pray hard enough, I'd be able to "throw all my pills away". I understand that God can heal us and all, but it has to be right for HIM and not just for us. I felt a lack of spiritual community here (Acts 2:42-47) despite attending twice a week. Also, they need to understand that everyone faces trials and my young adult years were among the most difficult of my life!! Trials make us stronger in our faith and we should not get discouraged when they come. (James 1:2). I was told some harsh things here and have since forgiven them and moved on as I know that they came out of lack of understanding of mental health issues. I hope since I attended there about 20 or so years ago that things are better, but I just wanted to share my personal experiences.
