Ordered a Purple in Paris flower arrangement to be delivered as an opening night gift for someone in a show at Musical Theatre Southwest. Flowers didn't get delivered because no one was at the theatre at 2pm. I specifically stated in the delivery notes that it was for an opening night gift for an evening show and that late in the afternoon would be preferred so that someone would be at the theatre. Thankfully the delivery person was kind enough to call me and I had to go pick them up at their main location. No where on the website does it say that 3pm is the latest for delivery, yet that's what i was told when I called to find out why they ignored the delivery instructions. I could forgive all this if the actual arrangement was as fresh and beautiful as their pictures online, but the roses are already turning and withering and the hydrangea is also on it's way out. This was supposed to be a purple arrangement, but they called and said they were out of the purple orchids and asked if they could substitute pink or white orchids, I selected pink as that was closer to purple, however, they put in white instead. Will not be using them again. And when I called to find out why my delivery instructions were ignored I was told that the latest is 3pm (like I should know that) and they acknowledged that it doesn't say that anywhere online when you order. read more

The team at Peoples flowers was amazing from the initial consultation through delivery. My flowers were beautiful and the bouquets very very full! Weddings are huge expenses and Peoples Flowers was very reasonably priced! My bouquets consisted of white peonies with pink and white roses. Thankfully peonies were in season but the quality of mine were top notch. One bouquet was missing ribbon but we called and they had someone come out to us within twenty minutes to put the ribbon on. I can't say enough about how beautiful the flowers my husband sent from People's flowers are this year!! The photo doesn't even do them justice. That are much larger in person. In this photo they are 4 days old and have been blooming more each day. The Lillie's are the most gorgeous shade of bright pink and smell so good. I can smell them as I come down the stairs every morning my husband loves to send me flowers so I have become very spoiled and fussy about them over the years and these are the best quality by far!!! read more

I'm always happy with Peoples...until today. A few weeks ago I placed a Valentine's Day pick up order online. No problems. Today, I receive a call stating they do not allow pickups on Feb 13th or 14th. Whhhhaaat??? My options were to get charged for delivery or pickup the flowers 2-3 days early. Yes, I'd love to give my sweetie old flowers. Thanks. When I informed them I'd like to cancel there was no offer to deliver for free or make it right. Here's my suggestion, and I know this is crazy so stick with me, configure your website to block off pickups for those days year round. Not just a month before. our daughter recently got married. She was going to crochet her wedding bouquet so she could always have it. The week of the wedding as she was finishing it she got sick and could not finish it. we called People's Flowers and were desperate. while they do have some regulations in place to keep this very situation from happening, we were told that we would have to use flowers they had on hand and it had to be a free style bouquet because all of their wedding consultants were booked understandably. did I mention this was on a Thursday and the wedding was on the following Saturday. The people at People's Flowers were so great to help us with a wedding bouquet and a boutonniere plus flowers for the cakes and they were all perfect. She ended up not being home when they went to her house, so the delivery lady called and texted her and then called and texted me to arrange another delivery time. She was super nice and accommodating - I really appreciated her willingness to go the extra mike. They ended up arranging with my friend to deliver them the following day and my friend loved them- said it was a beautiful arrangement. Wow! Just wow! Amazing job Devon did on my arrangement for Adam. She was very helpful in choosing an arrangement that fits his favorite colors, orange and purple. I asked about including The Bird of Paradise, which she added three. Since I'm in California, it was difficult for me to see what the arrangement first hand, but I was sent a picture just before his services. What a beautiful way to honor a man of 38 years, who fought cancer for 16 of it, with such a beautiful arrangement as he's now in paradise! Thank you, Devon. You did an amazing job. I highly recommend NOT coming here for your wedding or any important event. The quality we were given was terrible. The experience was awful and disappointing for our wedding. The day of the wedding, we received our flowers and they were in the worst quality they could have possibly been in. Disappointingly enough, it was noticeable in our wedding photos and overall experience. Most of the flowers provided were dry. The flowers that were pink or white looked more brown than pink or white, the flowers had a brown hue to the petals and continued browning at the church, the centerpiece flower arrangement, and the flower girls bouquets were a lot smaller than what had been described to us, the boutonnieres kept falling off of the men, especially the groom. We contacted them to express our disappointment, hoping for a genuine apology and to request a refund that we felt would be fair. A refund was given, but it was not discussed with us or one we felt was fair. They tried justifying to us why they were dry by saying verbatim, "it was a warm day which would account for some of them drying a bit," which disappointed us even more. They didn't care to apologize, respond after that or be customer focused. Terrible experience for a wedding. If we could help a bride and groom or anyone for that matter, to NOT experience what we did, then I hope this review helps. Do better! Unable to post photos google, so I'll share here. read more

My out of state children sent me flowers for Christmas through People's. Their website says they deliver to my area, but apparently that's a lie. Instead they called another florist who is located closer and transferred the order to them (taking their cut first, no doubt). The arrangement was butt-ugly and the flowers were not terribly fresh and contained a variety of flowers the orderers know I particularly dislike, and would never order for me. Horrible customer service. Went in to get some flowers for some table arrangements I was making and upon walking in was greeted by a young woman and after explaining what I needed she rudely showed me to the refrigerated section and told me get what I needed. After picking the flowers I proceeded to check out and then asked if I would be able to put my vases together there, at which time a lady from the back shouted that no I could not do that. After leaving I called the store to leave a complaint and the supposed owner called me back and argued with me and told me I was wrong. All the employees at this store need some serious customer service training. My family and I have been coming to this flower shop for years but will never step foot in their store again. read more

We were looking for a reputable florist in NE Albuquerque so as to send family members an arrangement. We opted for a succulent garden, but were surprised and disappointed in the one our family received. When we contacted People's via email and sent photos they went out of their way to help us and even delivered a new larger garden. They were very accommodating and we feel went out of their way to make the situation right. It is difficult when you live out of state to be able to find good customer service. We just moved from the Bay Area a few months ago and found People's Flowers nearby and we are really pleased! Shopped here at this location a couple times and also at the main site for Valentines day. From my experience these folks know how to run a good business in a tough environment, with sometimes demanding and unrealistic customers. My experience was very positive in spite of the realities of running a flower business in today's climate. The flower arrangements and settings from existing designs are really well done (great job flower designers!) and if you want a custom arrangement they do that very well also......but plan ahead for the best results. And the staff were pleasant and accommodating. They sent me a nice thank you card in the mail including a proffered customer number account and a discount on future purchases. I will be returning again for sure. read more

My Best Friend is an RN who is retiring from the VA Hospital after 41 years of providing compassion, comfort and care to her patients while performing a high stress job. A flower arrangement was ordered for her retirement party as a gift. They were delivered Friday around 12pm. By Saturday morning two out of 5 roses were drooping and all of the open lilies, about 4, were limp and shriveled. I called the florist and spoke to Roselee. I gave her detailed information on the sender and the recipient, yet she could not find an order. Extensive food preparation had been taking place and the receipt was somewhere among the future compost which my friend had to dig through to find the receipt. Rosalee was provided with the order number and located it on her computer. I asked why she could not find the order before; she said the name was spelled wrong. The name on the receipt was spelled exactly right and I asked Rosalee why she required our honoree to excavate trash to find the receipt when clearly the information was available to her all along. She promised to send a larger bouquet with live flowers as a gesture of apology for the entire episode. The flowers were delivered, an exact duplicate of the first arrangement. Lesson: do not expect to get what you paid for, do not expect the florist to be honest when searching by name, address and phone number, do not expect the florist to follow through with their promise, do not expect honestly or integrity from People's Flower Shop on Montgomery NE. read more

Terrible, messed up my order on Mother's Day. Couldn't get the arrangement right and sent my fiancé the wrong flowers, on her first Mother's Day. It was over priced to begin with and I trusted them to do the right thing. Went because it was close to my house but will happily be driving elsewhere. read more
