Not only do they have full floors of fully decked rooms and work out areas, they also have a rock climbing wall, a pool, a game room, a humongous basketball court and is super clean! We came from another YMCA in King County and were greeted at the front and registered as a guest member of the location. When we worked out, there were tons of machines and we were never waiting around for somebody to finish up their routine which was really nice in comparison to some of the smaller work out areas. My fiancé and I played a half court game of basketball and the space looked like it was really made for a professional game of college basketball. Another perk I thought was really nice was that they had bins of clean towels all over the place which you didn't have to pay the usual $2 for. Overall, it was really fun coming here and seeing the school spirit scattered throughout the different floors. There is tons of Husky art and even though it is super close to the actual school it isn't over populated on the weekends. Will definitely be back to play some volleyball and basketball with my friends getting ready for our summer bods!

I've been here a couple times... despite living fairly close to it but I usually prefer the parks on the waterfront more. I participate in the Tacoma Rocks movement which is a group of people in town which paint and decorate parks all year around and hide them in Easter egg fashion for kids and adults to find... and hopefully to rehide but if they love them it's fine to keep. You don't have to stick just to rocks and this past Easter weekend I hid rubber Easter ducks for kids to find in this park as well as painted rocks. I announced in the group on Facebook and could tell that the rocks and ducks were found quickly from the response I got. There are lots of nooks and crannies to hide stuff like this in this park which makes it fun. During monkeyshine season which is around Chinese New Year some people in the community hide handmade glass orbs. I'd love to find one of those... maybe someday in this park?

The parking lot shares space with a police substation so it feels really safe and everything seems really clean and nicely upkept. The park appears much larger on the map than I have checked out and appears to include a skate park as well. There are tables available to enjoy a picnic, or to simply sit while you watch children enjoy the playground. I did find the spray area to be a little underwhelming, but the playground equipment seemed newer and unique. The pool is a very good reason to come to this location. They are currently doing limited sessions due to lifeguard shortage, but its only 7$ for 2 hours. Best of all the wave pool is heated and feels amazing on a hot day. There are some water squirting things and one of those large buckets that dump water on everyone's heads. Lifejackets are available for use. On the day I visited there was plenty of room for everyone to occupy a table or lounger. It appears that the grassy hill next to the wave pool is a good location to set up and bring your own chairs, blankets, etc. There's a 1 ft wading pool that I mistook for a hot tub and was a little disappointed by, but likely great for smaller children. I also really liked that they have children complete swim tests and give them a bracelet to tell others what areas of the pool they are allowed to be in. My 7 yr old nephew insisted he could swim, but it was nice to have someone official reinforce that he needed to stay with adults or before a certain point.

Great dog park. Wonderful dogs and friendly people. We've…read morebeen taking our chiweenie and our German Shepherd mix there for nearly a year and enjoy the laid back atmosphere. I haven't seen a dog fight or aggressive dog in the time I've been going. The restroom is clean and open year-round. The do turn off the water inside the dog park so we usually bring some.

We love this park!…read more Parking is along the street just outside of the park. There are a few different play structures, a field, a walking track, and some basketball hoops. Picnic tables are in the sun and shade. My 3 year old likes the play house (we bring kitchen toys from home so she can "make" food using wood chips and imagination). All the structures are in good shape. The bigger ones keep my older kid occupied for a bit. Only real downside is the lack of bathroom. We like to come here with some snacks and stay about an hour. I like that it's pretty quiet and easy to keep an eye on kids.

There is a nice circle of sidewalk around the park so you can go on a nice jog, a big enough field to play ball in and playground equipment for the kids. The park is in a very quiet area in town and is relatively clean compared to other parks around town and is maintained nicely.
