They wasted your time, all they do is talk, when you asked them how long oh we waiting on parts, I came to this location because the one in Stockbridge does the samething, and now I see why the front counter man who came from Stockbridge is here all he does is talk on phone, he's rude acting like he's not at work, I came in at 9:05am and it's 1:19pm all I asked for is a oil change and head lights, I seen the parts come in at 12, no body is working he's on his phone, the works in the back sitting down talking, and I asked him how long he said waiting on part and looked at me crazy like I was asking something wrong. We went for an oil change. Apparently this included a tire rotation that they didn't mention. Our back tires are bigger than the front, guess they didn't notice. And while changing tires they broke my wheel bearings on two tires. Our regular mechanic checked it out and said it was completely their fault. Only replaced one after "Karen-ing" them. Tried to say it showed up like that. Go literally anywhere else but here. I'd rate zero stars if I could. read more

Horrible horrible service! Walk in no acknowledgment. The counter guy continues non vehicle related conversation with prior customer for 10 minutes now 2 more customers have walked in ... no one was greeted or acknowledged. Once I had the privilege of service I was assured with many excuses why I couldn't have a battery installed prior to closed at 3pm in the evening. I will never go back to this location! He mentioned he just got a promotion so apparently this is the pep boys standard of service at this location. Happy to add I went to the pep boys located at 7000 hwy 85 Riverdale ga . First let's set the story. Boyfriend and I are on an 8 hour car ride to go camping. The car is loaded completely, and we're are super excited. We've planned this trip for over a year with our friends. We are now halfway through the trip and ready to meet up with everyone for lunch. We are 2 exists away from dwarfhouse when suddenly I run over something, and my tire goes flat. Then we wait 2.5 hours for a tow truck (at no fault to our super nice driver). We are hungry, tired, and sadden by this delay in our trip. We are towed to pep boys, who I called ahead to determine they had the tire I needed. We get in and being female I'm slightly nervous they will try to say I need extra things that I really didn't. They were honest though and gave me exactly what my car needed at a very reasonable price. They also told me it would take 2 hours, but they completed the job in 1 hour! They were fair and honest, and they went above and beyond for me. Sean was amazing and really helped to turn this vacation setback around! Let me start by saying I would give no stars if I could. My whole car servicing experience has been a nightmare. I took my Acura to them back in September of 2015 because I was having issues with my power steering. They checked the car and said I needed to replace my rack and piñon. So fine, $1300 later the rack and pinion was replaced and the car was working fine or so I thought. Shortly after that, I had to take my car back in December because the power steering still was not right. At this time they asked me if I had my fluids topped off recently because the fluid in the power steering area didn't look the right color. I explained to them that they were the only ones who had worked on my car and I do not top off anything myself. They flushed the system replaced some (plugs I think) and refilled it with power steering fluid. Fast forward to 3 months later and my power steering is still not right. Now at this point I'm thinking I should stop using them and go somewhere else. However, I have already paid 1300 for my power steering to be fixed and it should be fixed right without me having to pay any more money. So....I take it back (let me note the first day I dropped it off they couldn't even look at it because they were short staffed but no one told me this) and they say the rack and pinion needs to be replaced and it will take 2-3 days to get. Do you think they call to let me know it has arrived and to schedule me an appointment? Of course not. So I call to check the status and set up an appointment for Monday. It is now Monday and I dropped my car off at 8am (the time I told them I would) so that it would be ready by the time I had to get off work. It is now 5 pm and my car is still not done. When I called to check the status I was informed it won't be ready until 7pm. When I asked why it wasn't ready they indicated that they did not know I was coming in and so the technician has been working between my car and another. It's just ridiculous. My car should have priority because 1. It's a redo and 2. I was told to drop it off at 8am. Now I have to stay at work 2 hours later because they had piss poor scheduling. After my rack is finished I will NEVER be back. EVER. 3 times for one repair? It's inconvenient and unprofessional. Take your car to real mechanics. pep boys is not worth the hassle. read more

I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and a diagnostic because my check engine light was on. I dropped the car off first thing 9am. 5 hours later I called to get an update. The man on the phone said to give him 15-20 minutes and he would call back with a quote. 30 minutes later I call again and get the same response. By 6pm I go to pick up my car and nothing was done, not even the oil change!!!! When I asked the guy, " So you've had my car for 9 hours and nothing was done?" Ahhh, yeah he says we needed a air filter..... The worst customer service of 2014, he offered no apology for the inconvenience, showed no empathy or ownership for anything. I will never give this location two pennies or anymore of my time. Don't go there if you actually want your car serviced. read more

Although the people that work the counter are super nice, I always go in there wanting a simple oil change and tire rotation and somehow end up spending around 300 dollars. How does this happen?! Well, I feel they are always trying to up sale me and recommend services that are not needed. I don't trust myself when I go in there because I know I have a tendency to be too gullible. I think it is bad that I need my husband to come in and play hard ball. My tip: make sure you aren't able to get what you need at auto zone beforehand. I would have gone there, but had already been waiting 2 and a half hours for my car to get a routine oil change and check-up. They will act like they are doing you a favor by relieving you and wave costs, but they charge for everything. Labor costs were more than half of my bill. read more

This is the final email i'm sending to customer service and I can honestly say, never darken these guys doorstep - EVER. I want you guys to know that I am completely and utterly disappointed in this company and will make sure to let anyone who will listen exactly why. I have been trying to get someone to deal with this for over 2 years now. It took you guys over a year to even give me a claim number. The car had to be junked so I could get a down payment for another vehicle so I could GET TO WORK, and nobody told me that i had to hold onto it. Which didn't' seem to matter because it took forever just to get an initial response. Now i'm being told the claim was denied, because I called, not because ANYBODY at your company informed me of this. I am told that a letter was supposed to be sent, and obviously, it was not. There's a reason why me and my family no longer go to pep-boys to get anything taken care of, despite the warranties in place. I am appalled at the lack of customer service for this issue, and the lackadaisical way this entire event was handled. It took a year for a general manager to call, and even then all I got was the run around. Then it was, you need to take the car so Craig (the then manager) can look at it, then Craig was out, then Craig was sick, then Craig was unavailable. Then a total run around for ANOTHER YEAR. Then, I finally get a claim number, and I'm thinking "finally, a resolution." But it turned out you guys only opened a claim so you could deny me on paper. It was just another way to shut me up about this entire thing and stop contacting you. You never meant for there to be any resolution other than this outcome right here. Way to show how you feel about your customers. I know you don't care, but you've definitely lost a couple customers behind this. read more

The employees that work here were extremely nice. I was in town on business and my car had a flat. Pep Boys was the closet to me and the only name I recognized on my google search for places that can help me fast. When I called in the manager assured me that they would take care of me and they did just that and exceeded my expectations. A lot of people can write a nasty review but it takes a special person to take time to write a great review for something. Today at Pepboys, a woman came in irate about how the mechanics ruined her car and now it is leaking oil all over the place non-stop. The guy at the register decided to actually argue with her and threaten to call the police instead of working towards a solution. The next customer was a man who came to ask a few questions because he came for a rotation and to have his fluids checked and the tires were not rotated and one of his fluids were empty ( I don't know much about cars but I'm doing my best to go off of what he's saying so excuse me). The same guy that argued with the woman, argued with the man as well, asking him how does he know if they didn't rotate the tires or check his fluids after the customer had already explained how he knew. I'm nervous to see what they've done to my car now. I wish the customers would have come before they started on my car because I would have left. Do not come here people.
