I've been coming to this location for quite some time now. Even with an appointment, the turnaround is horrible. My last appointment had to wait almost 4 hours and that's after a finally spoke with the manager. The mechanic was not good either! Spill the oil all over the engine and I got home is when I noticed it. Two weeks later my other car oil filter started to leak oil leaving a mess of my driveway! Had to come back on both occasions so then can fix the issue. Oh, still had to wait to have the issue rectified! read more

I'm not sure what all the bad reviews are about. Pep boys is the only service place where they let you use your own oil for your car's oil changes (because I only use Synthetic Motor Oil for my car). I made an appointment and only waited 10 minutes before the put the car on the lift, and I was gone in 30 minutes. The guy at the counter was friendly and even the guy changing my oil smiled at me. The only downside to my experience is that they didn't have any coffee or snacks for the customers to have while waiting, and they also reset my "Trip A" on my odometer (I guess the did it by mistake when resetting the oil life) read more

These guys trashed my car, broke my items, threw it away, used my crowbar and put it through the sunshield, and I got injured because they didnt even fix my car. On top of that the younger guy at the desk changes up his tone every time he talks to me. I believe he is the son of the manager there, he starts talking to me like he has no respect. Why type of man talks to a customer like that? One that doesnt make good decisions. The mechanics did not fix my car even though they told me they did, I had a problem with the brakes and I didnt know what was wrong. They told me they fixed the issue and they really didn't, I went on the road and got into a accident because my car couldnt stop. I called into Pepboys again to see what happened, the manager claimed he fixed the issue. That was a blatant lie, he did not offer me an apology or even a refund. I really should sue. read more

Covid had nothing to do with wait time...been here since they opened at 8 am it's currently 10:50 am and they have yet to even pull my vehicle into the bay for a simple oil change! I could have literally drove from homestead to Orlando and reached Orlando before I even got an oil change this is ridiculous!!!........ UPDATE: I had to grab my stuff and leave after 4 hours of waiting only to go elsewhere and realize Pep Boys never changed my oil filter when I got my oil change with them as I supplied them with a genuine motorcraft filter only to see a puralator filter just removed and mechanic telling me how old the oil filter was seeing that they never replaced it when I had my previous oil change from them! When little boys play with big cars sometimes it doesn't end well. So what do you do? Considering the car was pretty close to this place it got towed there. Now, we have a unique car, a little older and foreign so you know that its always going to be fun when it needs to be fixed. So car is there, and they figure its a master cylinder for the brakes. They try to get the part from all of their suppliers in the area and it can't be found. So what do they do? They are honest and tell me the most economical thing to do is get the part myself and take it to them. How about that? I get the part but seems this one isn't 100% right either. We decide to take it home and figure it out later. They were nothing but accommodating with EVERYTHING, kept me informed all of the time but best of all were honest about everything that was happening. Even though in the long run they couldn't fix the brakes because of the unavailability of this piece they worked with me every difficult step of the way. Especially since they only charged for the tow. Now that is service! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Called an made an appointment yesterday for 11:30 am the next day for tire instillation. The employee I spoke to stated they didn't have the tires in stock but they would have it in about an hour. I told them I would like to stick to the appointment time the next day. I arrived at 11:00 am and after Fernando the employee at pep boys tried to over charge us for the tires and service, which was brought back to the original quote after pointing out the discrepancy, he told us it would take 2-3 hours because they were busy. I said "ok" and walked the area and had lunch and came back 2 hours later. We sat in the waiting room and now it is almost 2:30 pm and come to find out they don't even have the tires in stock and the manager was leaving to go pick them up from another store. Never have I dealt with a more unprofessional business. All of this should have been explained BEFORE we turned over the keys to pep boys. Update: Anubis the manager went above and beyond to help us. Anubis really helped alleviate a rather unpleasant experience brought on by an incompetent employee. 5 stars for Anubis but not for his employees. read more

Worst experience I've ever had. I blew a tire and luckily I had another new tire. I brought it in to the store to have them swap the rim onto the new tire and install it. I was told it would take 2 hours before getting to my car, it would also take another hour for the work, $52. I don't know how it takes so long or it could possibly cost so freaking much. After an hour, the manager whose name starts with a U, says that he can't get my car on a lift. I ask why and he says that he just can't. I tell him that my car has been serviced there many times. He checks the computer and it shows it's been serviced there plenty since 2008. I let him know that I want the paperwork written on my car and to have him write that he's refusing to service my car. He says he's not refusing service. He just won't put my car on the lift. Mr. Tire Automotive / Mr. Goma Tires swapped the rim onto my new tire, balanced it, and rotated all of them within 15 minutes and for $20. Thank you for nothing Pep Boys and you can thank your manager for being a condescending jerk. read more

Horrible service! I Had an appointment at 10am I was told that the wait Time would be 40min to INSPECT my brakes. Nothing needed to be done JUST inspected. Waited almost 2 hours walked to Starbucks & back with my vehicle still to not be looked at just a waste of time!! I always go get my oil changed at this pep boys. They've always topped off my fluids and put air in my tires whenever I've gone. This time they just advised me I had 2 bad tires and my coolant reservoir had no coolant. They said it was dry. I asked can you top it off for me. They said they didn't carry it but they'd see if they could find some. When the car was done and I went to the cashier I asked if they were able to find some coolant and he said "No we don't carry the coolant your car requires". I got in the car and saw all my lights on. They didn't put air in the tires, nor topped off any of the fluids like they always use to. I stopped at auto zone to purchase coolant but when I got home the reservoir was in fact half way full. I don't know if they did in fact put some in or if it already had some to begin with. But they told me they had not put any when I asked. Also when reviewing the inspection report they indicated different tires that were bad from the ones they actually showed me in person. read more

Anubis assisted me on the Saturday of my flat. He inspected my tires and recommended all of them change due to the dry rot. Normally I would have thought of this as a sale ploy, but I do look at my tires frequently and did notice the cracks in the rubber. Anubis provides a sincere estimate on the process since other people were there before me. My explorer is running beautifully now and I'm very happy with the service I received. The only reason I provided 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the fact that apparently Pepboys doesn't top off your wiper fluid. The times I've done services at other places they have done this topoff liquid service and it's nice. Just a recommendation. Also, I had buy 3 and get 1 free, the rotation for that free tire should've been included. But these small details aren't deal breakers. read more

After spending thousands of dollars to have my Jaguar repaired at the location in Cutler Bay, and having to return my car for the FOURTH time, I will find another shop to service my vehicle. They keep my car for a week at a time, only to tell me its ready, and I drive it for less than an hour only to find out the same issue. No phone calls, you can call the shop continuously for days on end, and no one will answer. I know this shop gets busy and there is usually a long wait. All I needed was an oil change so I made an account online with my car's information and an appointment for 11:00 am. After finding my appointment on the computer the employee still had to take down information and said it would be 1 hour. An oil change does not take that long. If they can't take my car at 11:00, the appointment I made is meaningless. I didn't wait, told the employee I would come back at 2:30. When I came back there was a two hour wait. I called JR near Marlin Rd across from BJ's and they took my car in right away and cheaper than Pep Boys with their so called "discount." read more

Horrible customer service by the so called MANAGER. I brought in my car for them to install 2 tires that were delivered to them. After about an 1hr I received a call stating that 2 wheel studs needto be be replaced so I approved work. It's 3 days later and a strange, vibration and noise is coming from the RF tire. I brought it back and for some reason the service advisor that was helping me decided to go and test drive the car and bring into the shop and inspect it himself. All of the sudden the manger comes out puts one finger on the tire and decides to tell me it's a tire issue!!? I asked how can you tell it's not part of the repair that was done earlier if you haven't removed the tire from the car. What a JOKE!!!' This is why places like this need to close for good. These so called managers are a joke. How can a Service advisor and Manager that don't work on the cars on a daily basis are going to diagnose my car with having 2 mechanics in the shop doing nothing??! What an experience. I took my Jeep in after Kendall Dodge disappointed me again, as I only wanted an oil change. I wish I had gotten the name of the guys at the service desk because they were awesome. After leaving Kendall Dodge and not being acknowledged for a half hour, I called this Pep Boys and they told me my oil change would take about and hour and 15 minutes. They got it done in about 45. Worst service ever!! I came to get my high beams replaced and left with a head light that was previously working, not working. The work order that had been written up for my car was incorrect and they never gave me a copy when they admitted that they should have when i originally left! This showed me that the workers are careless with their work performance and my car. The work order stated that I had my low beams replaced, this was incorrect, and if it was correct that means they didn't do it properly in the first place. The workers at this pep boys are unreliable, confused and do not provide the service I was looking for. When having my car worked on I like to know that my car is in good hands. I did receive a free oil change for my next visit for the inconvenience but still, the service is very poor! read more

When I make a 7:30 AM appointment for new tires there is an expectation that the tires will be present for the appointment too. I was 30 minutes late for work as a result. Came here yesterday after needing a tire for the rear, saw Ray from our previous visit & was assured we would be in & out in 1 hour. We let Ray know that we'd be grabbing lunch & will look out for his call, 2 hours later as walking up to the business we saw our car still had donut on!! Informed Ray that we'll be spending our cash elsewhere, yet again. All I want to know is what ever happened to consistency?? Haven't found the answer to that but went to a mom & pop place south of Pep Boys called JM Tires & we were in & out in 10 minutes & saved $20!! I didn't mind waiting four hours for my new breaks and tires to be done. What did it for me, since it did take long , 4 hours to be exact when my car was ready. I had to go straight to pick my 7 yr old up from school. So I did not inspect my car when it was finished. When my husband came home he noticed a huge yellow dent and scratch on the rear driver side bumper. That was not there when I arrived for service. Since the store had closed already that night. I went first thing in the morning to speak to the store, they showed me video and said they could not have done it. They did drive my car off and it was off camera for 15 minutes which they could not explain where it was. They did go step by step what was being done while the car was on the lift. When the car was driven off, supposedly they were taking it to align it, but the car never returned for alignment either. So, even though I could not prove they damaged my car. They never did an alignment that I was charged for. I did not have a good feeling. Not very honest in my opinion. The explanation the mechanic was super busy and forgot. They did offer to do the alignment then. Which since I already paid I accepted. will not take my car ever again for service. read more

Surprisingly this time around, I chose a different location. I had a different service. I didn't purchase anything online because of past experience. I contacted customer service and created the order and schedule the appointment. The only reason why they got a 4 is because they didn't have the tires I wanted. I was charged $25 more for the next best tires they had. But I was ok with that. Other than that, the service was quick. And I also have a 50,000 mile warranty, which allows me to come in every 5,000 miles and get my tires rotated and balanced. read more

Shoddy automotive service and terrible customer service. Took my car in one day to have the tires rotated and balanced as part of the maintenance package I purchased with my tires. The tires may have been rotated that day but were never balanced (as evidenced by my car severely shaking as I drove it on the highway). I took it back and explained that I had just brought my car in for a tire rotation but they didn't balance the tires. I proceeded to get a lecture from the service rep (who never pulled up my record or checked paperwork to see what was actually done on the car) that the tires weren't balanced because I didn't expressly ask for the tires to be balanced when I brought the car in for the tire rotation. I have been bringing my car to various places (including this pep boys) to have the tires rotated for years and have NEVER had to expressly ask for the tires to be balanced when they were rotated....that's just part of the service. Additionally, the tire balance was ON THE ORIGIONAL WORK ORDER!!! But never the less, the fact that the tires weren't balanced was MY fault because they claim I didn't ask them to do it. Later I called and asked to talk to the service manager who tried to tell me the same crap....that the tires weren't balanced because I didn't ask for it (again without looking at any paperwork to see what actually happened). He couldn't begin to explain why I had a work order and receipt that showed the tires were supposed to be balanced, but they never were....just kept saying it was my fault and making excuses. At no point did the service rep or manager ever actually look at my paperwork or records to see what the mistake could have been, apologize for not balancing my tires when they were rotated (which cost me an extra hour and a half of my day and two uber rides), or admit they could have possibly made any mistake at all. Now because of the tire service package I already purchased, I'm stuck with them till I get new tires unless I want to pay to have them rotated somewhere else. I would avoid getting tires here at all cost. Quick PS in case PepBoys is reading this...this could all have been avoided the minute I brought the car back to have the tires balanced, if your service rep had said something like "oh I'm sorry ma'm that should have been done when your tires were rotated, let me get that done for you right away, I apologize for the inconvenience" instead of "let me explain something to you.... Tires have to be balanced every 6 months....and you didn't ask for that when you brought the car in....if it's not on the paper we don't do it..." now you have one pissed off customer....a little customer service goes a long way....just saying. read more
