I've stopped into Peper & Parlor so many times over the years, but the high prices always kept me dreaming. I love just looking around because the pieces are very cute and on trend. But just out of my budget for the most part. Stopped in AGAIN over the weekend and discovered the most amazing little treasures on their sale rack. This sale rack got literally all of my attention after it was found. Walked out with two amazing dresses that I unfortunately need to wait until Spring comes to wear, but who cares I love them! Both dresses were just over $150 combined while full priced were each $200+. Whatta deal. The staff was so helpful and I never felt like I was trying to be sold. They were honest when something didn't fit right, which is so refreshing. Although I still can't afford most full priced items in the shop, I'm definitely going to continue to stop in and peruse my new favorite sale rack in Hoboken. read more

I absolutely LOVE shopping here!! They carry the best brands and the cutest accessories. The jeans here always fit and the sweaters are the coziest! The lingerie collection here is awesome too! I started buying all my undies and bras here. So comfortable! Rachel makes shopping so easy for busy me. She'll send me pictures of things she thinks I'll like and pick. This place is great! I spent my lazy Sunday in Hoboken enjoying brunch and doing a little shopping/browsing at some of the stores in uptown. I wandered into this great boutique and was so excited to check out some super trendy brands and some quality clothing. From clothes to knitted hats and scarves, to some great jewelry and of course shoes, this place has it all. Everything is pretty pricey but, the style and the brands (mostly independent boutique brands) are definitely what the retail price is so by no means do I think this spot over charges. And to highlight, most of these brands aren't easy to find. You have to go into a store like this to indeed buy 'em. So definitely some great unique pieces. I didn't see a sale rack, which I'm a thrifty gal and I always like to find a bargain especially when I'm paying full price for other items so, c'mon now, hook some sistahs up and beef up those discounts! read more

Great collection of fabulousity! The buyer is on point and I find style inspiration every time I walk into the doors. Personally I like when sales people aren't in my face while I try things on. But if you need a helping hand while you shop, this place may not be for you. More seasoned fashionistas will do just fine. Every time I have ever been in this store, the customer service is the WORST:(((((( Pricey little store where the product value definitely does not match the price at all...but the Most embarrassing thing isssss how discourteous the sales reps are...they don't acknowledge the customers, they seem to be more interested in there Facebook then they do the customer! The sales rep actually rolled her eyes when I asked her about a skirt!!!! Looked like something a grown up Holly Hobbit might wear... Soooo Much for Peper and Parlor!!!! Pros: this place has a really nice, unique selection of clothing, shoes, and accessories Cons: expensive (average price of a shirt is $200-$300); staff is very indifferent. Usually I am not bothered by this, but today I went there to looking for jeans, thinking it would be nice to buy them at a local small business vs. Saks. However, the sales staff could not have been less interested in helping me. They literally ignored me when I clearly wanted to try things on and later was confusedly trying to figure out the difference between the jeans they had on selection. They didn't even give the standard "how did it go" after I tried on the jeans. And I was the only customer in the store! I definitely would have bought a few things there today if the salespeople had been even the slightest bit helpful, but I I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I have to limit my visits to Peper / Parlor, because I know I'll find something I suddenly can't live without. The owner's eclectic and exquisite taste is reflected in every corner of the store. The only thing keeping me from heaping five stars on this great place is the price point, which is somewhat out of the reach of your fashionable 20-thing, but well worth it for the quality. Love this store! It's becoming my go to when I'm in the need for new denim. Also their website makes it so easy to pre shop. Yes, it is a little pricey but I found that if I spend a little bit more on basics they will last me a lot longer. read more
