Super disappointed in the fall off of this restaurant. Maybe it's under new ownership, but literally every menu item has declined in the last year or so. I've always received good service at this location close to my workplace. I will go for the carnitas or beef rice bowl. They are usually really quick to get my order ready either in the drive-through or inside. Everything usually taste warm as well. The last time my guacamole was somewhat frozen but still tasted good. FAST!!! Is my first impression.... There were 4 cars in front of us and we had our 2 steak salads within 5 minutes! The order was correct which amazed me since they were talking faster then most car dealer spokespeople read their disclaimers on TV commercials. The food tasted great as it always does. My biggest reason for not giving 5 stars is the sadly my steak in my salad was barely warm and I did not feel like going in to have them redo everything. My wife said her steak was hot and you surely could see the steam coming of her to-go container. We picknicked in the parking lot for our "romantic" fast food dinner which seems to be our thing lately since only takeout is available. I witnessed shrimp being placed on the flattop to cook on the same surface as every other item on the menu with the same cooking utensils with zero regard for cross contamination not once but TWICE in the same visit. Instead of using the sauté pans as separate cooking vehicles they instead used them to cover the shrimp on the flattop with water to steam it. Pepperjax in Bellevue opened not too long ago. Finally got around to trying it out for lunch earlier this week. Thought it was only Cheesesteaks, but also rice bowls, burritos, salads. I went with the regular cheesesteak. You walk up and order at the counter and they cook your meal in front of you. Got my cheesesteak with mushrooms and onions and a side of fries and drink. Sandwich is good sized as well as the french fries. I variety of sauces to choose from to add to your sandwich. Flavor is okay, but NOT the best cheesesteak in America or whatever their slogan is. Price is okay as well. A place I would potentially eat at again, but not go out of my way for it. read more

My husband and I go to the other locations pretty often so I told what the quality and taste SHOULD be like so I was pretty disappointed in this visit. There was nothing special about this trip. The fries weren't crispy, the bread was faintly toasted, and the meat was covered in seasoning. My lips were burning because of all of the seasoning. I am hoping that once they are opened longer it will be better. I will probably wait a few months before I try it again. read more

Well they seem to mess up my order more times than getting it right. Service has constant turnover seems like few people care about what they do. I went through the drive through and got the wrong order again. In addition the last 2 times I was inside the cashier misted hated her job. I think. I am done going there for good. The last time I came through the drive thru they took a long time to get my food then 'didn't have my order' and gave me a random order they had for free because of the mistake. I came in a few days later and they have their meat portioned out into Pepsi cups next to the grill. Made it right in front of me and I was a little confused why my food was prepared with meat from Pepsi cups rather than the actual way where it's in a paper. I asked the cashier why my food was in Pepsi cups and he said 'what' and walked away then went up to the cook who prepared my food and told her what I said and what he said so he clearly heard me and played dumb. I'm afraid to eat my food just from this whole experience and I won't be back at this location or recommend it to anyone. I really enjoyed this place. During lunch hour they know how to keep the line moving in a timely manner but at the same time not lacking in quality. I got the steak rice bowl and a drink for around $8. What i like most was the huge variety of toppings and sauces to choose from. Your bowl is only as good as you create it. I ordered a salad for dine in, and when it came time for me to select my toppings the worker rudely asked me "Can you not lean?" I'm assuming she was talking about leaning into the protective glass by the counter, but in reality I wasn't trying to do anything bad. I am a very soft spoken person who likes to stand close to the glass like any normal person would as a courtesy so that the worker can actually hear me and so that I can see all that is going on my salad. She didn't give me any kind of explanation as to why I shouldn't stand close to the glass, nor did she say please or apologize in an attempt to be courteous or hospitable. She completely caught me off guard in a negative way due to her complete lack of customer service and communication.
