Kids meal - Scrambled eggs, hashbrown, and sausage patty
    Karina O.

We came here on a Saturday morning to celebrate my husband's birthday and had such a wonderful experience. We arrived early to beat the rush and were seated right away, which was a great start to the morning. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive the entire time, making us feel very welcome. This location is beautiful inside. Very clean, bright, and full of natural light from the large windows. It created such a warm and inviting atmosphere. I was craving something sweet and ordered the Brioche French Toast. It was absolutely delicious and tasted so fresh. My husband ordered the GE Omelet and loved it (he literally left no crumbs!). For our toddler, we ordered the classic breakfast from the kids menu with scrambled eggs, hash brown, and sausage patty, and he enjoyed every bite. I also really appreciated that the kids menu included a dry erase marker so he could color on it. Such a fun touch that kept him entertained. Since we were celebrating a birthday, they surprised us with a fresh pop tart of our choice. We picked strawberry, and it was AMAZING. Honestly, I'm already looking forward to going back just to try another flavor. Overall, such a positive experience. Great food, excellent service, and a very friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend for breakfast or brunch!

Met my law school bestie for brunch. Waiting time was decent on a Saturday morning. We both grabbed egg Benedict's. My egg Benedict was Mexican based with a chorizo sausage patty. We enjoyed our entrees. In addition we had mimosas to accompany our meal. The mimosas were heavy on the juice for the price. The venue was cute. The bathrooms were clean. I really enjoyed my side pancake until I found, two hairs. I was sad about that as the pancake was delicious. Even with that hick-up I would go back. Dinged the score as the server was rushing us and not very friendly. His opening line after water was if we were gonna continue to talk or wanted to order. Kinda rude. Then rushed at the end so we ended up going across the street to bar to finish having cocktails.

I come to Good Evan's quarterly to get their strawberry poptart. The cinnamon poptart is a close second! The rest of their breakfast menu is good and they have GF pancakes that are delicious (per my gluten-intolerate friend). The staff are always friendly. They get 5 starts because their poptarts are truly fantastic!

First time going to a location in Omaha, but have always been a fan since I lived in Lincoln! Such great space with a great menu! Tons of options for everyone but definitely more than just the basic breakfast foods! Wasn't too busy morning of a game day so everything came out super fast!

Overall a good brunch place. I am not usually a sweet tooth person but this time I decided to try something sweet on the menu. Tried the brioche French toast with strawberries and bananas. Wish it did have more strawberries on it though. Good portion size. I definitely could not finish it all by myself. Service was pretty good especially with how busy they are. Great place to grab brunch with friends. Make sure to reserve a spot before hand so you're not waiting so long.

I went to Good Evan's for breakfast with my mom. I was surprised because it was a Sunday before 10, and we were seated right away. Our server was so sweet and kind; she made it such a pleasant experience. We split a blueberry lemon pop tart. This thing was huge and delicious. My main meal was the breakfast sandwich. This was very flavorful, albeit a little messy to eat as far as sandwiches go. My mom had the Southwest omelet, and the meat swimming in salsa verde on top was incredible. This is a great spot for a delicious meal!

Staff service and atmosphere were great. Very tentative staff making sure coffee stayed topped off and one of the better sized chicken fried steaks I've had in the local area.

I am picky about brunch and breakfast places because so many of them are lackluster. Even so, GE earned four out of five stars because their dishes were tasty, and the interior was modern, comfortable, and inviting. The brioche French toast had a nice flavor and came as a huge portion. One complaint I have is that there are no combos on this menu. A lot of people like to have something sweet and something savory for breakfast. If this is the case, you have to order from an over priced list of a la carte items. Perhaps it's part of the strategy of the restaurant, but I felt like I didn't need three pieces of French toast, but would rather have eggs or bacon or something on the side. Just be aware of this as it may increase your overall spend. The other issue I had here was the slow service. We waited at least 10 minutes at our table to get greeted, and none of the week staff seemed to be moving around with a sense of urgency. If I had just been with adults, it wouldn't have been as noticeable, but with a small child who was impatiently hungry, we definitely noticed. On a positive note, I really enjoyed the interior. So many breakfast places look kitschy or cheesy and just not that pleasant to be inside. But this just looked like a modern, neighborhood restaurant.

DP ordered Lemon Berry Pancakes, a plate-filing short stack of goodness. I'd like to say it tasted as good as it looked, but I couldn't tell as DP chowed down like a hound from hell. In a good way, of course. She did allow me to share her Maple Braised Bacon (meaning that I was able to snatch a piece while she wasn't looking). Really, really fine, something I'd definitely order again. For me. Not to share. I had the Schnitzel Bennie with tart cherry jam and lemon hollandaise. Sound unusual? Tasted great! My only gripe was that the pork cutlet was a bit small and could have used a bit more seasoning in the breading. Would I order it again? You betcha! Service was fast and efficient. The decor was quirky and inviting but the space was loud enough that it was really hard to carry a conversation. Overall rating: yahoo!

We said first available seats, which ended up being at the end of the bar. More about that later... I ordered the vegan standard and hubs ordered the banana bread French toast. The server was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner, considering the place was packed. Regarding the vegan standard, it seems they have cut back on the amount of tofu scramble and increased the amount of hashbrowns, which was a little bit disappointing. As usual it was very tasty though! I tried a bite of the hubs French toast and it was VERY unique and tasty! II will be getting that next time. I was disappointed to hear that they haven't brought back the vegan biscuits and gravy, but maybe once again they will! So the food was great but our experience, not so much, based on where we were sitting. I feel like they should not even use the last spot at the bar to seat a patron. Right next to where I was sitting is the place they bring the clean silverware to dry it off, then they would toss it into the silverware holder. The noise was very annoying and they did nothing to try to even be quiet about it. The other thing about that location is the register is pretty much right in your face, like 15 inches directly in front of me and someone was pretty much there the whole time. Other areas of the bar wouldn't be quite so bad, but next time we will wait longer to get a table or sit at the bar top that looks outside instead of at all the workers doing their thing and talking to each other. Other than the location of where we sat this visit, this is still one of our top spots for a yummy vegan breakfast, and we will be back!

The dinner service manager is knowledgeable and passionate about the dining experience. When we ordered the radicchio salad, I was skeptical that it would be bitter, but was curious to try it. My husband and I could have fought over it--it was that good! The cauliflower was roasted perfectly, and sat upon a sweet and spice infused puree called mahummara with crunchy pine nuts. The complexity of spices compelled us to try another bite, and then another... Roasted carrots are tender and sweet. Paired with cool yogurt and chili crunch, they ascend into another level of deliciousness. A tear of fresh bread across bits of remaining sauce, and then (not a minute sooner) "we are satiated, thank you!" and the server can take the plate. The chai was house made and it was SO great, like Christmas in a mug, just phenomenal. The food is different from other breakfast spots around Omaha. The croque miss was the breakfast sandwich special and it blew all other sandwiches out of the water. Thick bread, Dijon mustard, ham, and topped with 2 eggs! WOWOWOWOWOOWOW!! They were fairly busy, and honestly our food took a bit to come out, but I am still giving a five due to the overall experience and quality of service. Our server Melannie was fantastic and always present. We did the bottomless mimosa deal (3 out of 4 of us) and she was always coming around asking us what flavor we wanted next when our current was still half full to make sure we got our moneys worth. The champagne might not be the fanciest, but for $20 bottomless mimosas I'll take it. They have fun flavors in addition to the basic ones like strawberry, mango, etc. which adds an element of fun. For food--there were several things I was eyeballing but landed on the spicy chorizo Benny. It was really good, eggs cooked perfect, and came with hashbrowns. Another at our table got the poutine which also looked yummy. I'd say the food portion could have included a bread/toast option, however If brunching in Omaha i'd return to try several things on the menu. The vibe inside is chill, would be more fun sitting outside once the weather warms up. Since I was the one that booked the reservation, the tab got a bit confusing. At first they were taking it off my total, then the server said that hold would come off so I paid for my meal/drinks there. I did end up getting double charged (for both the reservation hold and my meal) which was cleared up with a quick phone call to their establishment---apparently it is a new process they are trying. I do understand though why they wouldn't want to just deduct the hold as then people that don't know how to tip wouldn't tip on the total, which hurts the server.
