My first time trying this place was very good! We ate our food so fast that I didn't have time to take a picture. The free bread, absolutely amazing and easy to pull apart. The big bowl of butter was used generously on the warm bread. I ordered the shrimp scampi and it was slightly oily, but well seasoned in pink sauce. My husband got the shrimp Florentine, which came with Alfredo sauce and handmade noodles, and I think was way better than my dish. I think the pricing is very fair for the giant portion that it comes with. I have leftovers for the next few days probably. Overall, great service and a cute family-friendly restaurant. I do, however, wish that it was available on DoorDash pick up.

Can't remember the name, but this was a sampling of 3-4 baked pastas including manicotti, lasagna and Cannelloni

This is a great Italian restaurant. Good food, large portions for a great price. This is a gem in Omaha where you can afford to have a an appetizer, salad, meal and dessert and even wine with your meal all for a bargain. The crème chicken was excellent! The lasagna was great too. They bring you bread for an appetizer with your meal. We saw some people with salads and they looked excellent with lots of toppings. Will give that a try with the meal next time. I highly recommend Roma!

I wanted to bring our boys here after an appointment one night because of the huge portions of delicious food. I went with a seafood pasta. That was really good, but I wish I had gone and ordered the special after seeing my son's dish. Service has always been nice, but we did have to wait a little bit longer than normal for food that night. Everything was worth the wait though, and our boys commented how awesome it was. Huge portions of food for a reasonable price.

Delicious Italian food! That sums up our experience at Roma Italian Restaurant; but it doesn't say enough... Service was superb and the atmosphere was pleasant too. We relaxed while listening to Perry Como and Vic Damone -- a nice improvement from the last several restaurants we have visited. Meals come with a salad which is nicely chilled and includes tomato, onion, etc. The house Italian dressing was delightfully tangy. The Garlic Rolls were warm and very tasty! My wife chose the Pasta Combo and I had the Spinach Ravioli. They looked so good that we started eating before I remembered to take the attached photos. Flavor and temperature of both were excellent! In order to try a dessert, we elected to take home a portion of our entrees. The Cannoli was a picture of perfection... and tasted just as good! (So good that I didn't even stop to snap a photo.) Trust me, or better yet, try this place for yourself -- everything was very delicious!

They weren't lying when they said portions were huge! Holy cow...my husband and I split "The Special" and had a full portion to take home as well. The special was loaded with sausage, chicken, and ham, but the sauce was the best part of it in my opinion. Our dish was loaded with meat, sauce, and noodles. Plus, the garlic knots served on the table were fresh. I can't want to come again and bring our boys. I want to try the chicken Alfredo next.

They do not take reservations but we just beat the rush Friday at 5:30 pm and got seated right away. Parking lot is small but ample free street parking close by. My wife started with cosmo classico martini which she really enjoyed it was tasty when I tried it. They bring bread for the table which was soft and warm. I had the Napolitano and added shrimp. They definitely didn't skimp on the shrimp or the portions in general are big! The mixed sauce was great and the Italian sausage was the star that brought everything together as well. We got our toddler the fettuccine Alfredo which we all enjoyed as well. My wife got the capellini I believe which was also very good. Our friends got a shrimp fettuccine Alfredo and the other got the pesto. Both enjoyed. They also brought more bread on request to soak up the extra sauce and it was the perfect end to the meal. So we thought, I got a small cannoli and our friends got the tiramisu both were big hits. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The vibes are good with interesting decor. The prices are great for the quality and quantity of food. We will be back soon and so should you!

Don't ask me how to pronounce it. No one seems to know…read more There is something about Spezia that is so welcoming. No wonder it's always packed. Friendly service, comfy setting, and oh yeah - the food! Unfortunately for me, there is too much seafood on the menu but there's always something. People rave about the seafood dishes so I'll trust them and say it must be good. I'm just not into it. On this visit, we each ordered a cocktail. I decided to try the lemon martini which I never order and OH MY GOODNESS. It was awesome! They nailed it. The limoncello brought it home. My dining partner had a dirty martini and was satisfied as well. We enjoyed a Spezia salad which featured mixed greens, prosciutto, tomato, Kalamata olives, and a house vinaigrette. It all combined so well. The lettuce was wonderfully fresh, no need to pick out rotting leaves like some places. The dressing was simply light and delish. We shared a plate of spaghetti. You get several options to add to it. The grilled spicy Italian sausage sounded good. I'm not sure which was better. The sausage or the marinara sauce. Both were soooooo good!! The sausage was truly grilled and spicy and just amazing, and it was not greasy either. The marinara sauce challenged my own that I make at home. We devoured that plate of spaghetti which was big enough to share. I forgot to take a picture as it was served so I am sharing a tight shot of half the order after we divided it.

Spezia, you let me down!…read more Our waiter struggled to keep up with the dinner rush. We arrived for our reservation and were seated at 6:40 where we weren't greeted by our waiter for quite awhile. It took a long time to get our drinks and I had to ask for bread so we decided to skip appetizers and go straight to our entree. When ordering the entree our waiter said "and which salad would you like?" And then listed the salad options. Normally when ordering a main and the waiter says which salad do you want that's because the salad comes with the meal. Nope. We were charged $11 per salad that we didn't even really want. The salads were your average side salad, but thankfully had good dressings. We hadn't brought up salads, the waiter did when we ordered our entree. So we were disappointed to have $20+ in salads that we didn't request until the waiter offered them. Our salads were finished for at least 15 minutes before our main entree came out at about 7:30, nearly an hour after we had been seated. My shrimp scampi was good, the broccolini was a touch under cooked but the flavors were still good, and the shrimp was surprisingly large in size and cooked exactly how it should be. Had we been served quicker and not offered things that didn't come with our meal when ordering our meal we may have been happier, hard to say. The table next to us was sat about 10 minute after us and had a different waitress. They received their entire meal (including bread & apps) and left before we were offered dessert. The food is good, I won't discredit that at all. But when coming to a restaurant like this you are expecting a level of service that we just didn't get. I'm sure we'll try again in the future and if service is better I will definitely update my review but for now, this was a let down of a birthday dinner.

I was delightfully introduced to this cozy corner by the ever busy Shannon, and she wasn't kidding when said her (Nicola's) Lasagna Mediterranean was to die for. I was gifted a few bites and let me tell you... what ever magic Nicola sprinkles on it, was DELISH. I'm hardly a red sauce fan but ok now.. I see you. Snagged their Tiramisu Martini... and it was just.. perfect. No where near burnt (martinis seem to trick a few up), with that cozy warm Kahlua kick on the back end. A definite will do again in my book! I was feeling a little appetizer-ee this evening so I chose the Bruschetta and Prosciutto e Melone as my meal, and it was plentiful! The sweet (melon) salty (prosciutto) combo, mixed with some tangy asiago was out of the park. I may even dream about this appetizer if I'm completely honest... never mind the pieces of delish bread, topped with finely diced tomatoes. Just everything paired really, really well and it's such a great summer eve meal - peep that patio folks! Not pictured, was a few bites of their Lemon dessert that was incredibly light, airy, fresh, the slightest hint of lemon (it won't smack ya in the face) and the best sponge to her cake. A LOT of love is included, and you can tell.
