I knew this place just when they started off because some friends of mine invited me to go and eat there and I loved the food right away. The soup is very tasty and the service has always been really good as well. The staff is very kind and thoughtful all the time. I always order the beef + shrimp pho and I never get disappointed, it always hits the spot. I have been a regular client of theirs ever since 2013 and I don't think that changes soon! Okay so I was craving pho cause it was a little cold and I found this place. Not bad at all. The broth has so much flavor. BUT was makes or breaks Phó for me is the hot oil, I know I'm sorry. They didn't have any!!! Prices were US prices for sure. We spent a month in a half in Mexico and I was paying 2-3 dollars per meal lol so paying 8 for a large (smaller than I thought) was a lot. Pequeno Saigon is a lifesaver for us vegans and vegetarians. Not only are their vegan options plentiful and delicious, but they're even open late! Despite this area being full of craft breweries and having a hipster vibe, there are surprisingly few restaurants that offer vegetarian options. There were few options beyond pizza and fries. We tried going to Tury's which was a few blocks away (and according to Yelp was open for dinner), but it was closed as was the other veg-friendly spot in the area. And it was only 8pm. We asked around and were directed to Pequeno Saigon. We live close by to a bunch of great veg/vegan Vietnamese restaurants so the idea of going to a Vietnamese place while in TJ wasn't all that exciting to me. However, PS's great food and friendly service quickly won me over. I was in the mood for something healthier after drinking beer and eating snacky food so I ordered the tofu spring rolls. My husband got the tofu pho. Both dishes were delicious, full of flavor, and totally vegan without needing any modifications. My spring rolls were bursting with fresh ingredients and were surprisingly filling. My husband declared his pho to be as good as what we can get in Little Saigon. As an on-again off-again vegetarian I really appreciate when a restaurant takes the time to perfect the meat-less options, which are almost always limited. It used to be really hard to find decent vegetarian options in Tijuana a couple of years ago, I'm glad to see that's not the case anymore. The Pequeño Saigón is a great addition to the list of amazing restaurants in town. It's a Vietnamese restaurant, so if you are down with pho and spring rolls this is the place for you. Personally I'm a fan of the veggie pho (Pho Vegetariano) , it's quite delicious and full of veggies (duh) and tons of noodles. I also tried the fried tofu (platillo de tofu) which was seasoned perfectly. The great thing about this place is that it is open late, last time I was there the sever informed us that they close at 2am, which is pretty ideal for an after-party fancy meal. It's a tiny little hole in the wall restaurant that right in the center of Zona Rio in this little bar plaza...tried the banh mi tacos, they were soo good! The meat was rich in flavor and the spicy sauce/salsa that's given with the dish just takes it to another level of deliciousness! My husband tried the chicken and vegetables pho, super satisfying! I loved Banana dessert: flambé bananas covered in Lecherita (sweet condensed milk) and toasted coconut shavings, so simple and so mmm-mmm good! read more

This is my first time eating at a Vietnamese restaurant in Mexico. I grew up in Southern California; Vietnamese restaurants are everywhere here. I'm happy to report that this restaurant is amazing and absolutely authentic. I'm a huge fan of "banh mi" or Vietnamese sandwiches. Banh mi is my favorite ethnic sandwich ever. Seeing "Banh Mi Taco" on the menu made me really excited and I ordered those right away. Let me tell you this, BANH MI TACOS ARE AMAZING!! This is the future hit fusion dish in Southern California. Everybody here is raving about "kimchi tacos" but "banh mi tacos" is where it's at. It's amazing. I'm seriously craving some right now as I'm typing this. The taste is so delicious; it's definitely worth driving to Tijuana just to go to this restaurant. Trust me, banh mi tacos are amazing. I must emphasized that once more After that tasty dish, I ordered the ensalada nuoc cham. This one is also delicious. It has those tasty pickled vegetables that I've come to love after eating so much Vietnamese food and the chicken and shrimp are wonderful compliments. This one is also highly recommended Now, I know pho is the most famous Vietnamese dish in the world but I didn't order any pho here. I wasn't in the mood for it but judging by what I've eaten here so far, I believe that their pho here would also be just as good. If you have already tried all the good local taco places and are in the mood for something a little different, the food at Pequeno Saigon is high quality and very tasty. I was in the area for some breweries last weekend and I wanted something different. The Banh Mi Tacos were fabulous, probably the most spicy thing I've ordered in Tijuana so far. I would expect they add thai chili peppers. Either way the meat is seasoned nicely and the peanut dipping sauce is flavorful as well. The veggie spring rolls are also solid though they seem to have a lot more noodles than they need. Peanut sauce they come with is more on the sweet side and still good. My husband ordered the shrimp pho and he really liked it as well. The best part is this is surrounded by a ton of great bars so if you arrive at Plaza Fiesta too early for beers you could stop in for a quick lunch. read more
