Newly opened so there is room for improvement. Appetizers: Street Corn Queso was good not much corn in it, Shrimp Ceviche was good and spicy. Entrees: Poblano Chicken best of all 4 moist chicken and good sauce, Birria Tacos just so so i have had better and didn't come with consommé, Carnitas Tacos another ok but not special did request no rice on plate and it came out with rice allergy to cilantro, Crispy Snapper a little undercooked and very spicy. Will i go again and try something else yes but not as good as i was hoping it would be. It is beautiful on the inside, outside lower patio nice, we didn't see the upper patio. Drinks were good. Finally was able to get in here but not really sure what all the hype was about. I had really high hopes because lulus and three eyed fish are so good but was so underwhelming. First the ranch water I got was pretty much lime juice and ice. Once we ordered our food and were waiting for it a couple was seated behind us 10 min after we were seated. They got served before us. The food was average at best I could find a taco truck in Pasco that does something better for much cheaper. Beans had 0 flavor and 2 tacos, rice Ann's flavorless beans for 18-21$ is crazy. My wife ordered a taco bowl that said on the menu that it came with cilantro lime rice. It came with Spanish rice and when she asked why it didn't come with cilantro lime the manager said they just haven't changed the menu yet. Haven't they been open for about a year? Probably need to change that. All said a taco bowl, chips and guacamole, 2 tacos, 2 beers and a ranch water was 100$ after a tip. Our waitress was nice and I have no problem there but it's like they're trying to be a spit for white women in Scottsdale to hard. People flock here because the menu implies high price food with no delivery on it actually being good. Side note a couple tables behind us was a group of people that were obviously having drinks. One woman walked to the bathroom a few times and was obviously intoxicated to the point my wife and I were laughing but when they left the girl could hardly stand that she was carried out pretty much. I'll start with the good. The ambience and service of this place is pretty great. There are a few places in the Tri-Cities that are upscale looking, but that is the end of the good. The food was subpar at best. The rice was a kin to what you would see at a dorm room cafeteria, the black beans, which generally I really like, appeared to be straight out of a can and very dense, the shrimp had no flavor and the guacamole needed salt, lime, and jalapeños. The service was wonderful. Garret took good care of us. Three for dinner on the patio after 7:30 on a warm (not hot) summer evening. The mist sprays kept the heat down. We had three great drinks --skinny margarita was good. Feeling like salad, we got one of each. Chicken Caesar salad with cotija cheese and candied nuts was very good but for the LOVE of God why is the chicken ice cold?! Bleh. Mango chicken salad, same thing. Eww. Elote salad with added chicken (for added $8) was the winner because the chicken was fresh cooked, and warm. (Dressing could use some punch up - kinda bland). We had the mango guacamole and chips that were pretty good, but the Pomegranate seeds were a bit "old" tasting. C'mon Perch! You can do better. One thing: the food came out really fast. I was nervous about trying this place reading the bad reviews. Let me tell you, everything we tried was really good. Modern approach to Mexican food, so don't go there expecting homestyle. The mango margarita was great! I had the birria gnocchi, very good and flavorful! My husband had the queso burger and loved it. Our table also liked the shrimp bowl, Birria tacos and corn salsa appetizer. Our waitress was very attentive and nice. The atmosphere was great, again it was modern vibe. Go for the drinks and ceviche. Those were great! The gnocchi was tasty too. Otherwise, very overpriced for the portions and quality. The taco bowl was similar to something you'd order at Chipotle. Tacos were okay but nothing special. Chicken dish was incredibly small...our server was really nice. Not sure about the other reviews stating staff were mediocre, etc. maybe we got lucky with ours? To begin, this is only the first week that the cantina has been open- they need to work on A LOT. The building is beautiful however it is extremely loud, the sound bounces off every wall- they need to add some soft surfaces to soften the noise. The margaritas and mixed drinks are awful. The four of us each tried a different drink; the cucumber margarita tasted like soap. The Paloma didn't even taste like grapefruit- more like another version of soap. Their version of a Moscow mule was 90% ice and didn't even have lime. The Cadillac margarita was the only one semi drinkable but tasted like a premixed margarita with a splash of grand marnier definitely not worth the price tag. Now to the food... We opted to start with appetizers before ordering dinner and I'm so glad we did because we didn't want to spend another penny on their food. We ordered the Mexican mezze which included guacamole, queso and beans. For all three of those dips they gave us FOUR tortilla chips (they were the size of a taco shel) but seriously?? The guacamole had not even been fully mashed as there was a whole half the dish as a hard piece of avocado (I guess at least they're using real avocado.) The beans and queso were okay but nothing to write home over. We also ordered the meat taquitos that were okay but barely any flavor and they only gave you THREE small taquitos. Microwave taquitos are better than those. So glad we didn't order dinner as I've read everyone is just as disappointed. Four drinks and two appetizers was over $100 and we ended up eating dinner at home. Given this was only the first week they have a chance to fix things but we will not be back for at least a year. read more

Just a couple reasons for just 4 stars. First, the atmosphere ( mostly) was great and the food is some of the best I've had in the Tri-Cities, though somewhat over priced for the area. The 4 stars are about the hostess and server. Generally, they both seemed a little annoyed that we were there. Neither of them made us feel very welcomed. The last thing is the flies!!!!! Nothing is more annoying than swatting flies as you eat a nice meal. Suggestion - put retractable screens on the open patio windows and doors. I'm guessing the local Health Department wouldn't be too impressed by the flies! read more

Service was good, friendly bartenders, good ambiance but the food? Meh. I ordered a carnitas bowl and frankly the same thing from Chipotle for 1/3 the cost is better. Visited Perch Cantina on Valentine's Day. First, I'm glad that we had a reservation (via Open Table) because we were sat right away vs the bunch o' folks who were all waiting to be seated. We ate most of the Valentine's Day menu - Blackened Steak bites in Queso, Salmon Ceviche, Posole Paperadelle Pasta and their Valentine's Day White Chocolate dessert (we also had the house margarita and the mango margarita). All the food was wonderful, the pasta was amazing - fresh, light...honestly the best pasta that I have had in the Tri Cities (including all the Italian restaurants I have been to here). The drinks felt small. I would probably pre-func before I went here again. But the food was great. The waiter was attentive, despite the heavy crowd in the place. Overall, a wonderful experience. We dined at Perch yesterday we had great service from Brittany. She was fast, friendly and efficient, and quickly corrected an error that was made. We developed an instant connection with her. She had a great recommendation for lunch. We had the Birria gnocchi. It was so good. My husband had a Cadillac Margarita. It was delicious, OK I had a sip! They were having a bit of a problem with the Hvac while we were there, you could tell that it made things more hectic for the staff, but they didn't miss a beat while caring for their customers. The food is incredible and the menu is an excellent representation of elevated, creative Latin dishes. The interior design is stunning and the outside space seems to be crafted for younger crowds/nightlife - which is nice because the Tri-Cities as a whole lacks in contemporary night life spaces. People complaining about the prices and wait times are old and dusty. Coming a from a big city it was so refreshing to finally see a new business here that committed 100%. Only note: we got the churro donuts for dessert and we thought the smaller, more donut hole-sized bites would do better for the sauce to donut ratio. read more

Ugh, I hate even writing this because I wrote a stellar review last week. Went back again because we had such a great experience last week but maybe the chef changed? Our tacos last week were overfilled and everything was amazing and tonight our tacos were half way filled and slop. Not even the same flavor or consistency as last week :( maybe you guys need to train your chefs on consistency because last week's kitchen chef set the bar super high! (12/30/24 was the good chef/cook). Also - please hire servers that actually want a job! Our waitress sat us and immediately said "what do you want to order", we hadn't had two seconds to look at the menu and she didn't even offer for us to order drinks. It was really off putting! Quick and dirty Overpriced Overpriced No flavor Boring blank decor BRUTALLY Overpriced. I recently dined at Perch Cantina in Richland, and my experience was less than stellar. The place felt like a pop-up in an abandoned warehouse, lacking a welcoming atmosphere. Despite the quick seating, the service was slow. We had reviewed the menu had time to waffle our choices and settled on our items, looked at the drink menu waffled those choices and selected our drinks all before the server greeted us with our water, they thought they were just getting our drink order but we were ready ready because wedding already waited close to 10 minutes. I tried the Desierto Florida cocktail, which was overpriced and had a bizarre mix of flavors, reminiscent of shoe polish or wood varnish. Fire whoever taste tested this drink and allowed it on the menu. No seriously. For my entree, I opted for the taco flight. While the tacos were hot and generously filled, they lacked the authentic Mexican flavor I was hoping for, instead it just lacked any flavor, very mid. Additionally, they didn't come With salsa and the salsa was an up charge, which would have been fine, except it was absolutely disgusting. Overall, Perch Cantina had potential, but it failed to deliver. It needs to add flavor to its food, improve service decrease prices by 30% and for the love of god give salsa with your tacos. If you decide to visit, you might want to change your mind, based on my experience, I will not be returning unless i hear they changed everything. Otherwise go hit a taco truck spend a quarter what you would at Perch and actually enjoy your meal. read more

The building is nice, but it was 75 degrees and we ate outside. The service was quick and generally pleasant. There is a good drink menu. I had not heard of the liqueur, Licor 43, which was in my carajillo. That was it for all of the positives. I could eat better and cheaper in Seattle or New York City for a comparable meal and drinks. Two meals and two drinks, with tip was $90...and the food was nothing special. I am assuming the owners are paying a lot for the location. The location offered a spectacular view of the parking lot with boats and boat trailers. Lulu's has better food and at least a view of the water. The same people own Lulu's, which we really enjoy. They also own 3-Eyed Fish. I choose not to eat at 3-Eyed Fish anymore for similar reasons with Perch. As I stated, the drink menu is good. The problem is in their ingredient list, they need to specify ice, which is over 75% of the volume of the drink. The $24 combo taco plate was good (not spectacular). They must use specially made tortillas because I don't recall ever seeing any that small. A lot of southwest restaurants, IMO, go overboard on the rice and beans. Perch is the opposite. Two heaping spoonfuls of rice and beans, each. The spicy chicken Caesar salad was good, but looking at the small quantity and high price, I am wondering where they purchase their lettuce. Again, it was tasty, but considering the price and quantity, it was significantly overpriced. Finally, the surcharge. I don't make a habit of carrying around $100-150 for meals, so the plastic is my usual choice (although I prefer to tip in cash to benefit the servers). Kind of like rubbing it in your face by delineating the credit surcharge separately. I lived in New Mexico, so I have seen a variety of Mexican/southwest restaurants. Interesting to watch where their locals ate, so I am familiar with this style of food. I'll still go to Lulu's, but if Perch and 3-Eyed Fish are relying on my patronage, business will be difficult. read more

The service at this restaurant and the food are terrible! Negative 10 stars would be more appropriate. The food took 45 minutes to arrive and is not worth the price. I ordered the beef tacos and they were small and very bland tasting. Putting the light cilantro sauce on them was not much help. My wife had the rock fish tacos and was not impressed. The server didn't know what beers were on tap, they were out of Miller Light, and our food order was lost after 20 minutes from placing the order and had to be repeated. The parking lot spaces are very narrow and I had about 18 inches to open my car door after someone parked next to my vehicle. This place was very disappointing and is one of the worst restaurants that I have ever experienced. Be ready to pay with cash if you want to avoid the credit card penalty "surcharge" that is automatically included on the bill! read more

Owners of this and the close-by affiliated restaurant have certainly achieved consistency. Put them in a bucket with the other two restaurants in proximity and you have perfect examples of the location being the draw rather than food or service. At Perch, there is plenty of outdoor space awaiting the hopeful installation of misters or shades...wait until it gets hot. Upon sitting at the bar, the first think noticed is the semi-plastic "glasses" used to provide water. These are reminiscent of what you get along with a dirty look if you ask for a water cup at a carnival cotton candy stand. Next, the margarita menu as, after all, this is upscale Mexican food. The house margarita is reinforced by a number of variations so I went with the Cadillac which offered the Grand Mariner float. I watched as the waitress went to the margarita spigot, poured out the liquid into a (real) glass and then added a shot of GM. I asked if I had ordered the house margarita would it be the same spigot...and the answer was yes as apparently there is a tub of margaritas somewhere on the premises just like the daiquiri machine at the carnival...probably served in the same semi-plastic cup. The menu was weighted toward the appetizers which is fine...I tried the chorizo queso. While waiting, I was given a bowl of pinwheel somethings. Luckily, a person across from me had the courage to ask if we could eat these and the answer was yes although I was waiting for the presentation of a health waiver first. Still not sure what they were other than a time-killer. The queso arrived and it was fine...ohh and what a great location. The locals next to me suggested I go to Three Eyed Fish which I may do. Hopefully it is in a terrible location so I can look forward to a great meal. I was also presented with and asked about the surcharge. That amount just came off the tip which was going to be generous as I have no complaints about the bartender/waitress. A great location and excellent food are not mutually exclusive unless it is planned that way. If someone goes to Perch and is asked about the experience, the answer for the time-being is that it is a great location. read more

If I could only use negative stars. We arrived before 6PM waiting for over an hour to be seated. Waiting for another 45 minutes to even get beverages and finally got our food order after 8PM. I asked for another lemon drop Never came but I was charged. Hubbys iced tea had to be asked for again. The food was small portions and in my opinion not worth the price they charged. I asked for the tab and my second lemon drop was on the bill and I told the waitress who called over a manager to tell Me that two servers said I received my second drink. How insulting - I Will NEVER be back! A just beware they charge $2.50 for you to use your credit card here- that might be illegal! We uused a debit card- I will be in contact with the Attorney Generals office because I am sure this isn't a legal charge! read more
