    Cheese selection

Perch is a cozy cocktail bar in East Harlem. There is pretty much nothing else like this in the neighborhood so it's a nice change. Stopped in at 5pm on a Friday. Two other patrons beside me. They have happy hour 4-6pm. I had a Piscocolada from the HH menu as it was recommended to me as being sweet. I had the cheese plate with their delicious sourdough bread. The cheeses were also explained to me. Service was friendly and attentive. The bar is pretty, the menu selection is vast and the prices are average. A nice spot for a date or to hang out with friends. It's located near the 6 train at 110 St. I believe they also own East Harlem bottling co up the street which is a great restaurant too

I came here back in February and I am glad to report it is still a great place to visit. I came with my sister and we missed happy hour but it was a great experience. We ordered a couple of food items from the menu. We had the whipped ricotta, the meatballs and smashed potatoes which were quite delicious. I would definitely recommend the potatoes and the whipped ricotta. I didn't like the meatballs, they had an overpowering flavor of lamb which makes sense because they were lamb meatballs but not for me. The meatballs were soft and the texture was great. So if you like lamb they are definitely for you. The smashed potatoes were amazing, the texture and the flavor. The bartender was great, he gave great advice and the drinks were a great balance. Overall this place was amazing and I look forward to going back. The place is nice and it has a romantic atmosphere but you can also go with friends or family.

I had my eye on Perch for a very long time. The opportunity to stop by presented itself not too long ago and I seized it. I came on a weeknight evening. It's very easy to find with its lovely wooden accents and large windows. This is truly a local spot, and it was easy to find seating at the bar. As others have noted, this is not necessarily a place to bring a crowd, but it is perfect for an intimate date or a couple of friends. I came just before the kitchen closed and decided to try the ceviche. While I was deciding what cocktail I wanted to try, the bartender was kind enough to ask what my favorite drink was and offered helpful details about the drinks I was considering. I decided to start off with the ceviche and the Luna de miel drink which was a slightly sweeter drink with spicy notes. I loved the drink so much that I chose a second drink called the City Sunset which was a pleasant drink to end the night with. Loved my stop here and can't wait to come back!

Great local spot in East Harlem. It's usually busy, but we were lucky to get seats by the bar. The cocktails and entrées were delicious. It's not too noisy, but the space is small and narrow so I recommend you make a reservation (if possible).

Perch is a cocktail bar that I've had on my list to visit for a while and I'm so glad I finally got the opportunity to try it. Coming in the bar is fairly small. There's only bar seating available so not the best place to bring a group. I came with my partner on a random weekday night around 7pm and there were only two seats left so def plan accordingly. Perch does not take reservations so visiting during off hours will give you the best opportunity to find a seat :) My partner and I ended up ordering the Mambo Siciliano and the Luna de Miel cocktails, respectively. Both were delicious but if I had to choose a favorite it would be the Luna de Miel. It was smooth, not too sweet, and well balanced. For food we ended up ordering the longaniza croquettes, smashed fingerling potatoes, and the lamb meatballs. All 10/10 with a slight edge to the croquettes for my fave. We also ordered the NY strip which was flavorful and tender but ended up coming out a lot more rare than what we asked for. All in all a really strong cocktail bar choice that I can't wait to add more into my rotation!

This place is nestled in a historic and not too gentrified location in Harlem. It's quite quaint and dimly lit inside. There is seating at the bar or near the door. So seating is definitely limited. Always when I go I am greeted by the bartender. The food options are all small bites and it ranges from seafood, to veggies, and meat forward dishes. My favorites are the longaniza croquettes, lamb meatballs, and burrata pistachio salad. For drinks I definitely recommend trying all their drinks. My go to faves are the Mambo Siciliano and the Luna de Miel. Both are bright and refreshing. The one thing I would say as constructive feedback is that some dishes arrived lukewarm/cold. All in all I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves a nice cozy atmosphere and good drinks.

Perch is the jam in East Harlem! I ran the half marathon this weekend and decided to celebrate at Perch; such a great choice. The Ambiance is super swanky and the service is superb. My friend and I ordered a few martinis and appetizers and everything was just fantastic. For food we had the following - smash fingerlings (so tasty and I love the garlic aioli) - bread & dip (the whipped ricotta was so tasty and a must have). For drinks: 1 dirty martini (made perfect) 1 breakfast in bed (the bacon fat washed bourbon was out of this world) 1 Lei Me Down (the mango and pineapple go great together), Perch is top notch for any occasion and I look forward to visiting again soon as it is right down the way from me. Thanks for a wonderful first visit!

Perch's drinks are undefeated! The atmosphere is so cute & the drinks definitely match the vibes. The bartender we had was very attentive & made sure we were good the whole time. & besides the presentation of the drinks, they were strong! But not so strong that it was overpowering. Overall I'd def recommend!

Cute little cocktail lounge, my cousin loved the whiskey options. Apparently it's a whiskey bar, which is a special thing for whiskey drinkers. I had a mezcal cocktail and it did not disappoint. I loved the ambience here and the bartender was friendly and helpful in making choices (I love a resourceful bar tender)! This place is open late during the week, and wasn't crowded, but had a nice quaint crowd. I didn't get a chance to try the food, but looking forward to going back for the full experience.

Came here for a late dinner on a Monday and there were plenty of spots open - avoided the weekend bc I heard it gets very packed and they don't take reservations. Very sophisticated, intimate spot. Really stands out from the nearby establishments. Drinks were tasty, nicely mixed, and well presented. Also a good selection. Bartender was friendly and accommodating. Food (croquettes, NY strip steak, and chocolate cake) was good. Would definitely go back

Came here for drinks and tapas, but they were understaffed for a Sunday evening. I enjoyed my drink, but decided to head out early. Very nice server!

The non-happy hour menu is the real gem though. A little pricey for the neighborhood, but the quality is on par with cocktail bars down in the villages, so well worth it. The vibe is chill, relaxed, and very neighborhood-friendly. Even when it's busy, it never feels overwhelming, and they're usually very accommodating with walk-ins. The service is also some of the best I've experienced in Harlem. My go-to is the roasted duck, which is consistently excellent. It's cooked medium to medium-rare and comes with mango, onions, vegetables, and greens. Easily one of my favorite dishes in the neighborhood. The drinks are great too. I recently had the Nas, their take on a Manhattan, and it was incredibly smooth--one of the best whiskey cocktails I've had in a while. Overall, 10/10. A hidden gem on Lenox between 119th and 120th and definitely one of the best spots in Harlem.

We both had Brussel Sprouts, good, but the bites without the sauce did taste like bland Brussel sprouts. I had the lamb ribs, very good. They do warn you before that the ribs have a bit of fat on them, I think in the context of NY restaurant week I'm happy to pay it but as a solo entree, the amount of fat vs meat would have annoyed me. My friend had the duck, she enjoyed it. But it is very much salad with a side of duck, I believe she had 6 pieces of duck (pictured) and then a mango, arugula and onion salad. Dessert was very good, but I do hope those are not the usual portion sizes and maybe they just served smaller for NY restaurant week. Which I really didn't mind as I was full from the entree and sprouts. Servers were really nice, this place seems to have its regulars and a nice garden sitting area towards the back. Would overall recommend

The space itself is genuinely beautiful -- dim lighting, warm decor, and a moody, inviting atmosphere that makes it feel like a proper grown-up neighborhood spot. The service matched the room. Our server was attentive, gracious, and knowledgeable, and the front of house clearly knows what they're doing. The food, unfortunately, didn't live up to the rest of the experience. The pork chop arrived dry, which is hard to forgive on a cut that should be the kitchen's pride. The steak was competently cooked but unremarkable -- no real seasoning, no char to speak of, nothing that set it apart from a passable home-cooked version. For a restaurant at this price point, the kitchen should be delivering more. I'd happily come back for cocktails at the bar -- the n and the staff deserve that. But on the food alone, there are better options in the neighborhood.
