Great service! Clean restaurant! Great menu - variety for breakfast! We heard about long lines, however, my friend and I must have it the sweet spot between - 9 and 10. We were able to get a table fairly quickly on a Saturday and it was freshly wiped down (a little damp) lol Service was great from greeting to table to checkout. Nice hardworking employees- that really makes this stand out. The food was great. The portions were very generous. I LOVED my egg/potato dish. Very cheesy and delicious. The table pancake I ordered was good. It was a bit heavier than I'm used to, so it was filling, not very fluffy/light. This place is an absolute gem. Very welcoming and a comfortable , casual atmosphere. First off the waitresses here were wonderful they were working so hard and were so cheerful and efficient. The food is excellent we had caramelized banana pancakes with toasted coconut and chocolate with real ample syrup,how can you go wrong with that . The serving was very generous and they heated up in the air fryer the next day to be just as delicious. The corn beef hash was real pieces of corn beef and absolutely perfect the big breakfast came with French toast eggs sausage and corn beef hash and English muffin . . I hear the Mac and cheese is excellent and will be returning to try dinner the hot honey fried chicken and Mac and cheese sound like something I really need to try. This seems to be the GO TO spot is Standish We ate here 2 days in a row and I tell you they really took care of us! I ordered the Poached Eggs & Hash both times. I asked for the Hollandaise sauce on the side with English Muffin. You take an egg and some sauce and some hash and put them on the English muffin and viola! The Pancakes are the best thing on the menu and I know this, not because I have tried everything on the menu, but because the pancakes are some of the best I've had in my life. My family and I have had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant on numerous occasions over the last few years and will continue to patronage there when I'm looking for a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I've never had a meal that disappointed, staff is friendly and inviting and prices are reasonable and in-line with our current economy. The restaurant encompasses a small-town quaint atmosphere; the kitchen is very visual to customers and the kids love watching the activity while we're there. I suppose others may enjoy it, but I'm not one of them. There are pro's. The wait staff on both of my visits were friendly and prompt. The food was always hot and fresh. The con's, though, outweigh the good. For starters, their portions are minimal. You get your $10 breakfast, and see a, let's say, "nominal" portion at best. The common sense thought is that the owner is pinching pennies, and trying to save by providing less food. I don't need to gorge when I eat, but I also shouldn't leave feeling unsatisfied, which has happened twice, and why I won't go back. My first visit I went with my breakfast "go to", eggs benedict. It was... Odd. Aside from the aforementioned small portion, there was something off about it. Maybe the ham was not traditional? I couldn't put my finger on it. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't what I expected. Second visit I went with their corned beef hash and eggs. The hash was very strange in my opinion. It did have shredded corned beef in it, but it also had, of all things, carrots. Carrots? It was very light, and I found it completely un-appetizing. I wish the establishment the best. I live 40 min away and decided to give it a try since I was in the area. I have been in twice now and will never, ever go back. My first experience was mortifying. I want to sit, not be rushed, have breakfast and relax. The manager was yelling and demeaning the wait staff right in public in front of the entire restaurant! She was so rude to them, yelling across the place and the poor wait staff looked embarrassed. I felt rushed like they wanted to clear the table and get me out as quickly as possible. The food was ok, not great, not horrible, average. I swore I'd never go back but I really just wanted to see if she might have been having a bad day or something, so I have her the benefit of the doubt. I went back in last week, the exact same thing. Some of the wait staff are older, moving and hustling keeping up just fine. Again, I saw her yell and demean these poor girls and they looked upset, embarrassed and unfortunately they looked like they are used to it. I made eye contact with a few other patrons and they just rolled their eyes and made a comment implying that it's normal behavior. In this day and age when it's so hard to find good people to work, to treat your staff this way, to yell and demean them in a public OR private setting is horrifying. I will never step foot back in there and I'd encourage the owner, who I understand runs the kitchen and has complete visibility, to step in and defend his employees. To allow this behavior is unacceptable. Also, if anyone else happens to see this behavior, and it's hard to miss, speak up, either on here or literally in person when it happens. No one should be treated this way. Our economy relies on people that show up and do their very best to get the job done and I can't imagine how these poor women must feel when they go home at night. read more

We all knew we had found an amazing restaurant when we weren't even looking for one. It's located in a strip mall with a Hannaford's, so the experience was a bit unexpected, although it shouldn't be anymore these days. The restaurant was clean, the service was wonderful, and the food was awesome! I had chix and waffles. It was a large portion with plenty of delicious, juicy chix, and real maple syrup. We had a very unfavorable experience today and decided to take our business elsewhere. When we went to place our order I started by requesting an English muffin and the waitress immediately said we do not allow you to order sides. It did not state this anywhere on the menue in fact there was a section on the menue that listed several breakfast sides. I explained that I am allergic to eggs and my intention was to order three sides to makeup my breakfast and again I was told we don't allow you to order sides. We told the waitresses we were just going to leave and that's when she decided to make an exception to the rule. She then grabbed my husband coffee cup that he was drinking out of from the top of the cup to move it (no idea why she thought this was nessasary) with her hands that she had been using to grip her pen (this day in age servers should be very aware if how they are handling and serving items). That was enough for us, we decided to go somewhere else.
