Appointments felt rushed, and questions or explanations about my condition were often met with judgment rather than discussion. As a patient, I believe collaboration is essential, yet any attempt to provide input or ask questions regarding my medications was dismissed. Treatment decisions were presented as final, with little regard for my lived experience or comfort level. What is most concerning is that I was dropped as a patient despite having a chronic condition that requires ongoing, consistent medical supervision. Terminating care without appropriate transition, support, or concern for continuity of treatment placed my health at risk. For a patient managing such condition gaps in care can have serious and potentially dangerous consequences. I expect medical professionals to provide care that is respectful, attentive, and patient-centered, especially when managing chronic conditions. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of that standard. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no patient, particularly one with a chronic condition should feel dismissed, judged, or abandoned in their care.

Dr…read more Arroyave was my primary care doctor and was one of the most professional and caring doctors I have ever seen. She did a total review of my labs and did a complete physical. She indicated that my liver enzymes were elevated and instructed me to take a Vit E daily. Sure enough the next lab I had all my liver enzymes were normal range. I also have diabetic neuropathy and a prior physician had put me on Lyrica but it did not work very well and made me feel strange. I read an article from Dana Fabre Cancer Center and a suggestion was to try Alpha Lipoic Acid and Vit B6, I gave a copy to Dr. Arroyave and she approved that I try it, within 2 weeks I could walk again without any foot pain. The importance here is that Dr. Arroyave listens to her patients and collaborates as appropriate. Unfortunately, Dr. Arroyave left the practice and I had to find another MD. Dr. Arroyave is now practicing again and I recommend her as your primary physician.

They do take walk-ins, but appointments are recommended. Ms. Jessica Hinson is one of Dr. Gonzalez's PA's, and she is amazing! She listens, and takes her time. I never feel that she is in a hurry to get to the next patient. When blood work is needed, it is convenient because they have a lab on the premises, you don't have to arrange to have it done elsewhere. They also can do EKG's if necessary. My entire family has all their health-care needs taken care of at Family Medical Associates!

They knew their patients, listened to concerns, and provided prompt, efficient service both in person and over the phone. Unfortunately, the level of care and service I have experienced recently has declined significantly. On multiple occasions, I have spent 15-20 minutes on hold after being told, "I will be right with you," only to continue waiting with no resolution. For a patient who is ill and seeking medical assistance, this is both frustrating and unacceptable. More concerning is the quality of care I received during my most recent illness. I was seen by a nurse practitioner who was unfamiliar with my medical history and appeared to dismiss my concerns when I failed to improve after taking a Z-Pak and benzonatate. Throughout the years, I have repeatedly explained that benzonatate has never been effective for me. I am asthmatic and have a history of developing bronchitis and pneumonia, making respiratory illnesses particularly serious. Eight days after my appointment, my condition had worsened considerably. My lungs became so congested that I struggled to breathe despite using my nebulizer. My coughing fits intensified, causing headaches, shortness of breath, and significant discomfort. That day, I called the office three separate times seeking assistance and possibly stronger medication. Each call involved the same lengthy hold times, only to be told that someone would see whether the nurse practitioner would respond. No meaningful assistance was provided. Out of frustration, I submitted refill requests through Walgreens for my cough syrup and the Z-Pak. The following day, I called again and was informed that the nurse practitioner recommended an over-the-counter cough medication. Frankly, I found that response unbelievable. If the prescribed treatment had already failed, and I had been seen only days earlier with worsening symptoms, recommending an over-the-counter medication seemed dismissive and completely disconnected from my condition. Not surprisingly, the refill requests submitted through Walgreens were denied. At this point, I feel as though I do not matter, not even as a patient number. I should not have to repeatedly chase medical attention when I am clearly ill and struggling to breathe. Whether the practice is overwhelmed with patients or facing other challenges, the treatment and service I have received are unacceptable. I pay for medical care and expect a reasonable level of responsiveness and attention. Even if the services were provided free of charge, patients deserve to be treated with dignity, concern, and professionalism. The care I have received during this illness has fallen far short of that standard. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve both patient service and patient care moving forward. Scheduled online appt approx 6 wks ago, a few days before appointment date began getting…read moretexts/emails to confirm appt and to complete pre regist. confirmed and pre-reg as requested. day prior to appointment recd call saying have to reschedule as i am new patient and cannot see new patients on the date scheduled. exp i have been patient of providence medical partners for several years, (the pre reg app already had my info populated) but they keep changing providers at this location., said did not matter have to reschedule. i already requested time off work and as well made up time for the loss of work for appointment. Not acceptable and not a satisfactory reason to reschedule appointment on their books, confirmed for 6 weeks!
