It's on my way home from my sons babysitter, so I really wanted this place to be good. More than half the flour tortillas in the shelves were expired. When I noticed and returned them instead of changing them for unexpired tortillas they just charged me more tortillas that were not expired yet. The daughter is a very rude lady who should take some lessons in customer service. How are you going to be upset with a paying customer who does not want expired tortillas?! read more

More than a market, this establishment also operates as a little mom and pop shop for traditional Mexican food (i.e. tacos, burritos, tortas, etc.) A co-worker of mine actually recommended this place to me riveting over their portion sizes and inexpensive prices, and upon trying the place out for myself, I must say that Perez definitely did not disappoint.. I've tried their asada (steak) and chicken choices of protein now & would honestly say that the chicken is better :p the asada is a little too salty for my taste. They also have a designated area for preparing your to-go salsas (green, red, avocado) as well as the accompaniments of cucumbers and radishes. We came here because the meat market we usually go to had a line out the door. There was parking and no wait. The store was empty inside. We got the marinated chicken and marinated al pastor. It had too much fat to enjoy when we used it to make tacos. The marinade wasn't that good because it tasted salty. The meat reminded me of the meat from superior. Local gem! Just moved to the neighborhood and sooo happy we found this lil market that not only has bomb asada preperada but they have a taco stand outside in the evenings. The taco spot is called Torres Tacos and their al pastor is amazing! For $1.25 cant beat it. read more

I ordered the tacos de buche & carnitas with green salsa. I ordered 2 of each but they are piled high so 1-2 is more than enough. Great convenience store, that is located in Pomona. It is located close to the apartment complex, in which I was renting a room, while going to Cal Poly Pomona. They have a basic selection of food and beverage items. However, their alcohol selection is quite wide, and you can choose a wide selection of beers, wines, and cocktails. Stopped by here in the middle of the day because I didn't have a lot of time for lunch and Yelp directed me here. It's a little market / convenience store with some food. I had the al pastor burrito and was surprised/interested to see it was mixed with a bunch of other stuff like onions / etc. Had a nice marinated taste and varied texture. Beans, rice, salsa in the burrito all good. The burrito was excellent. I can't really speak for the other meats but overall just looks like a pretty good, easy, local burrito and I would seriously consider making it a point of coming here again which is very unusual for a spot you just find for convenience.
