Patrick was kind, patient, and knowledgable. He spent lots of time explaining the process to me and listening to my fears, anxieties, and concerns. Then, he took me on a journey into my mind. I didn't feel scared or vulnerable - I felt safe. The most telling part of the visit was the fact that, at the end, Patrick said, "Okay, good luck!" He didn't try and reschedule a second visit or anything. This, to me, means that he's doing the work for the work's sake, and if one visit is all it takes, so be it. Most specialists want to get you on the client list, but the revenue stream is not what Patrick is here for. Bottom line: Give hypnotherapy a try if you're frustrated by other treatments out there. I have had 5 sessions with Anne at Restore Hypnotherapy thus far in prep for an upcoming back…read morefusion surgery that up until now I had much trepidation, fear and PTSD about (given 2 previous bad or unhelpful surgeries). She is an amazing hypnotherapist, who really works with you on a very deep and thorough level to first understand the whole picture of what you have faced in the past, so that she can help you reprogram your own mind to handle what you are facing in the present and in the near future. She gets a medical history from you to start, if it is a medical issue you are facing, And then works with you to teach you self Hypnosis. She leaves you with a recording after the sessions so that you can listen to them each night to help reprogram your mind. I was able to more confidently speak up when meeting with my surgeon and his PA in the last appointment I had with them. And I now am feeling confident about going into surgery. I'm looking forward to the last session in which she will give me a recording to listen to pre-, during, and post-surgery, so that I will have the best healing outcome as possible.
