The representatives are pleasant enough to, but their communication skills can't be polite enough to compensate for not returning calls, changing quotes in midstream, and ghosting the client over and over. My fence looks fantastic, I couldn't be happier with the outcome and it was done quickly, in just four days. I have a "perfect fence" and my property value improved and yard is safe and secure now. It was that point that I found the spilled oil on my pavers and concrete. The trail in the grass had oil to the touch. The crew left it like that and didn't say a word about it. The main office didn't say a word about it. This appeared to me to be an air compressor or generator being wheeled out and leaking oil. I talked to three people directly and told them of the problem and I got no resolution or cleanup or financial considerations for the minor oil spill. Thankfully the oil disappeared with some heavy rains, shockingly, some spots required a specialized product I bought to clean it up. In the end the after the sale part of things was where it fell apart. Of all that, there was no problem sending me an invoice for the final amount due. read more

Contracted with Perfect Fence to install a commercial fence. There was zero communication during the project. The crew would just show up, at times days after they were scheduled. Part of the fence was installed incorrectly, even though the project requirements were clearly stated the contract. I called four times and emailed three times with no response. I now have to hire another company to correct their mistake. If you choose to do business with Perfect Fence, make sure you hold their final payment until you are completely satisfied. read more

You know how sometimes you read a review online and the review makes you think twice about doing business with a company or not? Let this be that review. My experience with Perfect Fence has been anything but perfect. My initial interaction with the company was in mid October. Kevin was the salesman sent to my house to give me a quote. Kevin was not very thrilled when I told him his quote was not the price I was looking to pay. After negotiating back and forth about different styles of fences to match the price I wanted, Kevin gave me a quote for a style of fence which would match my budget. I was pleased with the quote, but Kevin's comments about how I was getting a such a good deal left and unsettling feeling in my stomach. The quote was left on my front porch with poorly written number of deposit and total. Texting Kevin to confirm the delineated prices only led to more confusion. Kevin immediately reminded me again about how I getting a good deal, which was then followed by instructions that I needed to remove my fence to keep costs low. This was BLATANTLY NOT stated in contract because my contract stated Perfect Fence was responsible for removing my fence. After another round of negotiating and almost pulling out of the contract, Kevin conceded with moving forward, but having ME remove the fence would simply make things easier for his install team, because of the good deal I was getting. Kevin then advised me to leave my hefty deposit check on my front porch, which he would pick up the next morning at 8 am. If you read Brad G's and Adams B's reviews, there was no way in hell I was going to leave my money on the front porch. Sending my boyfriend to the warehouse to deposit the check, he met with a gracious man (in back of warehouse office) who corrected the obscure numbers on my contract of deposit vs. total and confirmed per the contract it was Perfect Fences responsibility to tear down my existing fence. Here is a timeline of events over the course of a month with Perfect Fence: 11/2: check clears bank for my deposit, no call to set up install date 11/5: I call to make appointment, informed by Steve I'm on for 11/19 and someone will call me 11/12 to go over details for fence install 11/12 week. No call 11/16: call, speak with woman who takes message about my wanting to confirm fence install for 11/19 and that I've had no calls from PF 11/16: Kevin calls to question why I am upset with my install date, telling me I am getting a good install date (noticed the trend). Inform him there was a miscommunication and I was not upset, but wanting confirmation. He says install date will start 11/21 and finish 11/23 due to Thanksgiving 11/21: No show by PF with no call. Call Kevin. He says he's in Chicago and he's sure I was on the install day for 11/21. 11/23: No show by PF with no call. 11/26: Call PF, leave message for management to call me back. No call returned 11/27: Call PF, speak with Steve to inform him I would like to cancel my contract and be refunded my deposit. He says Eric who is owner will call me back. No call returned from Eric. Kevin texts saying "U r going in this week no worries" 11/28: Boyfriend returns to Perfect Fence warehouse to only be begrudgingly greeted by whom he thinks is Steve. After Steve refusing to allow him into the building initially, Steve finally allows him onto the premise. My boyfriend asks to speak with the owner. Steve REFUSES to give the name and/or number of the owner. My boyfriend then asks to speak with the man in the back office who initially helped him clear up the contract. Steve claims there is NO back office....he stands firm on having no man in a back warehouse office and my boyfriend was making this encounter up. To wrap this encounter up, Steve calls security on my boyfriend, a paid customer of this company. On this same day, we finally get a hold of the owner of the company, Eric. Eric ensures my fence is on the schedule for 12/3. We inform Eric we only want to deal with him on issue of the fence moving forward. 12/3. My fence is finally started after 1 month of having my deposit. The labor team took 6 inches off my property line, causing me to have to do another reconstruction project to my driveway to allow my truck to get into my garage. To be fair to the install team, a phone call and voicemail was left on Monday, but the voicemail did not prompt onto my phone until 12/6. This cannot cast blame onto the labor team, but the fence should have been reinstalled on the same property line as the fence which was torn down. Do I love the fence, no. Does it look better than what I had, yes. Will I ever recommend this company to anyone else, No. This has by far been the worst customer service I have ever received from a business. Kevin carried the torch of me getting a good deal to push his way through a sale. Steve is the assumable bouncer who feeds false install dates. And the company overall gives the most condescending customer service. read more

I called 4 fence companies in the KC area for a quote on getting some fencing done. Only Perfect fence ever send someone out to give me a quote. Says a lot about the companies that do fencing in KC. Shawn's quote was a bit high, but I needed it done and accepted it. It took a couple of weeks for him to get to the job. But once he did, he set the posts one day and competed the fence the next day. My project was for security reasons and he came up with a very good solution and the quality of his work was very good. I questioned not using pressure treated wood. but he told me the regular pine was just as good. we will see. I am very satisfied with his work, and glad that he was able to come to our nighborhood and do the work. so many contractors shun our neighborhood and then the city wonders why the houses are so run down. read more

Extremely disappointed with the service levels of this company. We left a very expensive deposit with them and have had zero communication from their end from then on. After finding some flags in my yard I called them to ask when our fence would finally be installed and was told it would happen the following week, right before the Memorial Day holiday unless there was rain. There was no rain, we invited our families to or house for the weekend and told them to bring their dogs as we'll finally have a fence. Thursday morning rolls around and we assume the team is going to arrive to install and we haven't received a call informing us otherwise. After no one arrives I call and am told they have moved our job to the following Tuesday because they had others they needed to get done before the holiday weekend, as if having our job done before the holiday weekend isn't a priority. I'm now regretting not having gone with one of the other companies we received a quote from. If you expect at least minimum levels of customer service from a company you're giving thousands of dollars to, go somewhere else. read more

Well, the process of getting the quote, working on the sales front to the day they arrived to install the fencing was great. However, after the job was done I had an issue with one of the boards. it was supposed to be new and probably was but about a week later I noticed it was split from one end to the other at an angle. I contacted The company and was assured someone wold be out but give it about 3 weeks, nothing. I called back in, emailed, called again, no response from anyone. Since then several boards have begun to warp and curl and one post for the gate is sagging enough that the latch hits the other post when closing it.I think a name change is in order, my Perfect Fence is not very Perfect at all. I removed the little advertising sign because from a distance it looks good and don't want someone falling into the same thing I did. He called at 1:58p to reschedule this appointment due to another job running long. This is excuse is used too lightly. Like it's a standard excuse with in contractor's. Good fence-work, but cut our sprinkler lines by the gate, causing leaks. We had to have an irrigation company repair them. No preventative effort nor coordination was attempted by Perfect Fence for this recurring problem. We asked for reimbursement, small in comparison to their total cost, but it was denied. They make you sign a contract waiving them of any liability for sprinkler systems. Word of caution for any folks with a new home that has sprinklers and you want a fence. read more

We got bids from a few different companies for putting up a fence at our house and also for my neighbor moving his fence and decided to use Perfect fence. Kevin was the one that gave us the quote so I asked him to come out and do the paper work. He came back out spent about two minutes in my backyard and said oh I miss figured the quote it will be about an extra $2,000. I told him he could go ahead and leave because I wasn't paying him that much extra money. He argued with me about it for a few minutes and finally left then came back five minutes later and said he would do it and just charge my neighbor a little more to make up for it. I told him I already told my neighbor the cost he gave me and he wasn't charging them more. We wrote the deposit check and he said it would be about four weeks with no rain. We did have a few days with rain so I waited about five weeks and sent him a text looking for an eta on the install. After a few texts, I called and it went to voicemail and I left a message. I then called the office and they said I wasn't on the schedule my check was never turned in and was told the owner was gone but they would have him call me back I then left messages on three other days for the owner with no call backs. I got a text from our rep saying he was no longer with the company but he found my check and was putting it in the mail. I received the check in the mail with a post-it note saying they are done with fences for the year and won't do more till spring. I called the office today and was told that they do fences year round and that the rep was still with the company. read more

We got a quote from Perfect Fence and decided to move forward. They came out with the paperwork and said it would be $2000 more than the initial estimate. We said we'd pass and didn't appreciate the "Bait and Switch". The salesman, Kevin, then agreed to do it for the original price. Part of our project included moving our neighbor's fence, which was quoted separately. We signed the contract and gave him the deposit. He estimated the job would be started in 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, we called, texted, and emailed this company. The office kept directing us back to the salesman. After more than a week, we finally got a text back from the salesman saying he lost our paperwork, had been fired, etc. and they couldn't do the fence, but we should contact a different fence company. Another week later, got the check back in the mail with a note saying they won't do any more installs until Spring. We called the company, asked for the Salesman (who evidently wasn't fired and had mysteriously found our lost check to return it to us) and they said they install all year long. Found out from our neighbor that they HAD in fact cashed their check (which was provided at the same time). This company is a complete sham. Now we are 7 weeks out from the original quote and still no fence. It's ridiculous to lie to a customer; I don't know how they are still in business. Will NEVER recommend them to anyone. read more

We called several fencing companies including Guier to get estimates. Perfect Fence was very competitively priced, but their service and all the fabulous online reviews won us over. These guys were amazing and got our fence done today! We are extremely pleased with their service and all the hard work they put in even around the holidays! They got our large fence done in two days and were very polite and hard-working throughout! Will recommend to our friends for sure! read more
