Once I made the appointment, my wife and I went in together. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and asked to wash our hands before any service. I genuinely loved this policy, every client is required to wash their hands upon entering, which immediately set the tone for how seriously they take cleanliness and safety. After that, my wife selected her nail color, and we were seated. We were given the pedicure menu and both chose the Diamond Organic Pedicure (40 minutes, $60) an organic-based pedicure system formulated to rejuvenate and revitalize the skin. Absolutely horrible service. Made an apt for 3:30 for two people and when we got there they took in so many walk-ins we had to wait till 5 to finally be able to sit. They refused to cut my nails short or shape them how I liked. They rushed us through the service and did an horrible job on my nails. We had reservations for bridal party to have nails done for wedding. my tips were on for over an hour! it's a good thing I didn't need to use the restroom with tips on my fingers. then when we were finally worked on the tech was very grabby and kept tugging on my hand. she could have been nicer about it. they all seemed pretty grumpy and burned out. lacked respect for their customers. i did tell her the tips were too long but she didn't cut them shorter! went to pay and was told they automatically add 20 percent... hadn't had that happen at any nail salon! then the owner proceeded to push me into additional tip! interestingly some said tip was included while others said it needed to be added! pricing was also different for all of us. so over 3 1/2 hours later...we got out of there. Typically I've been satisfied with this salon in the past as it is very clean and the staff is nice, I have had to wait for a bit past my appointment time but that never bothers me for the quality work they do. Today I was in for a pedicure. Not happy at all. First I waited a half an hour after they put me in the pedicure chair, my water got cold and when I asked her to switch it she rolled her eyes at me. Second she was being very rough with me to the point I had to ask her to stop being so rough with me and I was very nice about it, but the roughness continued and she did not become more gentle whatsoever. 3rd I asked her a question, on return I got an eye roll and no answer. I had gone to a salon in Saint albans less than a week ago to get a set done, and left extremely disappointed. A friend had recommended this place and I called and was able to get an appointment for Saturday. I went in today and there was no wait, I was started on right away. I had told the owner that I was unhappy with the way my nails were done at the other place and explained to her what I wanted, she proceeded to fix them and was able to get the exact shape/size/color I wanted. We had an appt for 3:30 (4 of us) and it took until 5:45 for us to each have a regular pedicure and gel manicures. My nails look like I painted them myself which defeats the purpose of paying someone to get them done. They obviously overbooked and rushed as a result. When I asked if one of the techs could remove gel that was stuck to my fingers, she said "don't worry it'll come off as you wash your hands, I promise." The manicure I received was painful lol. I wish I could give it a zero. This was by far the worst nail place I've ever been to. They did such a bad job that I asked them to take off the polish so I wouldn't have to pay for it. They cut one of my cuticles and were rushing to finish so much that they didn't even let the blood dry or clean it up before they started putting polish on it. Not only was it ridiculous that they expected me to pay for a bloody manicure, but it's also incredibly unsanitary. When I tried to clean it myself, they took the paper towel away from me and my finger kept bleeding. They rushed so much, the polish was uneven and in globs. I could've done a better job on myself. Before they took it off at my request, they gave me a lecture about how I shouldn't pick at my cuticles, even though they cut it. So rudI'm not sure why anyone goes here. It was terrible. read more

This was my third or fourth time coming here and have been displeased with the results every time. the last time I went was about a year and a half ago and after being displeased with my manicure once again I stopped going there. But, when the bride of an upcoming wedding I'm in said she made our appointment here I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought that maybe their service has improved since I was last here. at one point we were the only people there and they were still rushing through all of our nails just to get them oer with. not only did most (if not all of our nails) turn out misshaped, with some of us having polish on our fingers and hands, but after everyone had paid, the bride paying $250 for herself and three of the other girls (one of them being double what she should've paid for to begin with) we were all told that we needed to tip more. the bride was forced to pay an extra $30 for tips because they said that they weren't tipped enough for their poor service. one woman even pulled up a calculator for another girl and said that that was what she owed for a TIP. Not only did we all have poor manicures but the customer service was straw that broke the camels back as I have never written a review before. I am visiting from New Jersey with a friend who lives in Colchester. Yesterday we got our nails done at Perfect Nails by Thu. Let me just say, they really live up to their store name. The salons I have been to in New Jersey, South Carolina, New York, and Florida have NOTHING on this salon. Every time I get my nails done, there is something always slightly wrong -- one is uneven, the shape is wrong, the technician accidentally cuts me, something goes wrong. This place was flawless. Down to asking what shape I like, to making sure that they were doing to the shape correctly, every technician wore a uniformed smock to match, the place was extremely clean, and the technicians were very personable and polite. If I lived in Vermont, I would be coming here once a week. I would love to have a salon like this one in New Jersey. Zero complaints about this salon. read more

Was very happy. I came in with my boyfriend so we could both could our first ever pedicures. They have lots of selections for the pedicure and everything seemed to be really clean, which is something I look for in a nail salon. I also got my first set of gel nails here and they did exactly what I wanted. A few of my nails were a bit bumpy but I don't blame them for it, they were super busy and it was their lunchtime. Gel color coat is all around the nail not just on it. And I asked for medium to long length not super short! I'm really not happy, there was no misunderstanding about the length either. I have been here twice and the second time for the same service, pedicure with powder color manicure I still have not gotten a nice relaxing leg message nor a hand massage. I asked for the powder overlay to keep my nails growing. During the process I noticed my nails looked lumpy and especially my thumb which has a large dip between the tip and nailed. As soon as I got home I took pics and sent a message to the page. I was ignored. I sent 2 more messages asking how we handle this fix and still no response. On the 3rd reach out o mentioned I am a business owner and try to respond quickly to both positive and negative feedback. I guess they don't as I have still has no response. Bummer!!!!! The only complaint I have is that the guy who filed my nails down- took away the square shape. They had to build them out again with excess gel and due to this there were two lumps on the nails. I never write reviews but here I am. I went to Perfect Nails hearing great things from friends so I was super excited. I had dip powder polish on from another salon and to take it off my hands were soaked in bags of remover... my strong nails were bending with the slightest pressure. I was so upset with how that went that I decided to just get gel. The artist got polish all over my cuticles and almost all the polish has already peeled off a week later. And because of my nails now being so brittle, the gel is ripping them. I'm very displeased. read more

Just awful! Had a pedicure to begin with and lady cut my big toenail so short that it bled. Then I sat in the pedicure chair waiting for my manicure for a very long time (even though I had scheduled appt) and then a lady came over and did a half ass manicure on me while I was sitting in the pedicure chair. She didn't even shape my nails even though I told her I wanted them shaped more and explained how I wanted them. She got nail polish all over my cuticles and skin and left it that way. I could've done a better job at home with my left hand and my teeth! And it was uncomfortable having to reach over to the side where she was standing. The whole thing was awful. And while this is happening they are taking in walk-ins and sitting them at the manicure tables. I just don't get it. Should've refused to pay. Will never go back. Can't even expresss how much i absolutely love perfect nails!!! I will drive all the way from fairfax to go get my nails done here. The places around vermont are VERY rude and not clean. However, Perfect nails is the only place that i can guarantee excellent service. All of the ladies are very welcoming, friendly, understanding, patient & memorable. Not only is the service is outstanding, but the nail color selection is the biggest selection I have seen in a long time. They are pretty clean/ organized. They have updated an entire menu for new comers to look at, along with updated their pedicure selection! For those who are new, ALWAYS make an appointment- they are SO busy every single time i have gone in, & just know mainly because they are THAT good. If you have a place to be at a specific time, let them know ahead of time even with an appt because as i've said they are SO busy some of their previous clients run late causing others to run into your appt times. So mention you have a place to be if you're worried about timing and they should fit you in a lot faster.
